I always thought one of Snape's largest offenses was spilling Lupin's secret. Lupin had been essentially homeless due to the laws, he got his job, and Snape got him fired and helped put him back on the street. There are a lot of people I haven't liked much in life, but I don't think I would work to ruin them professionally and make sure they end up scraping by.
Ikr. And the fact is while Lupin never stopped Sirius and James from bullying Snape, he never did it himself so having Snape sentence him back onto the streets because of a petty, teenage rivalry makes me kinda mad
@@oceanussolis1137 Depends on how hard they did it. If they caused bad things, then oh well, they deserve karma. It won't matter if they "got better". You wouldn't excuse someone after murdering innocents, even if they "regretted it". It's weird how you seem to defend bullies.
@@awddfg ok first of all, bullying someone and murdering someone are two very different things. Second of all, it was said that James matured before year 7, which was when he was 17. So James would be classified as a child and teenager when he was bullying. Would you sentence a teenager to death just for being a bully? Bullying is wrong, but sentencing someone who bullied before being matured to die is even wrong. To be completely honest, I dislike both James and Severus so I’m not being biased here. I just think that teens who bully do not deserve to die just because they bullied people.
Then why not be the secret keeper smh, if ur willing to die then the secret dies with him. It always bothered me how switching the secret keeper is so stupid and pointless

The Marauders' story is definitely the saddest story of the Harry Potter world. Think about it ; Peter becomes betrayer, James betrayed, sirius is accused of his best friend.'s death and Remus loses all of his friends. Also all four of them die young.
Honestly Lupin is one of the most tragic characters ever written. Why? -He had an awful youth as a werewolf and never got what he deserved when he was older -Outlived all of his friends -Never got to see his child My absolute favorite!

You aren't. I instantly fell in love with them the movies' portrayal of them. When Sirius smiled at Harry, almost like a proud father, and then got hit with the killiing spell, I literally couldn't believe my eyes.
IMAGINE HOW INTERESTING IT WOULD BE IF THEY MAKE A MARAUDERS MOVIE/SERIES. the storyline itself is just so interesting, we need a scene where three out of four marauders make the map, how lily and james/arthur and molly/cissy and lucius fell in love, we need the sisters of house black, how lucius bella etc joined the dark side and became a death eater, how sirius was sorted into gryffindor while his whole family bloodline had been slytherins, how snape coped with the bullying, and all other interesting things🥺🥺
Yeah I fell like that would be better than the actual series but that’s just cuz I’m obsessed with the marauders era it’s not that I don’t like the series.
Sirius was the most tragic character from the marauders. Got imprisoned from the crime he didn't commit, no wife and child. I really cried when he died at the 5th book.
@@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaidhe wasn't engaged,he often had one night stands during his time of Hogwarts but never fell in love and that's how the whole wolfstar thing started
"While his body was still wolfish, his mind became less so in the company of his friends". I think this is really spectacular. Think about it, the power of friendship/love broke through Lupin's illness, just like it saved Harry from the killing curse.
Sirius had one of the worst things to happen to someone in the Harry Potter series, he was framed and was sent to prison having everyone think terrible of him and then when so close to being proved innocent, it gets taken and he then later on dies
Arnav S It’s arguable. It’s fair to say that Sirius did have it worse because he had to spend a large portion of the rest of his life in jail and then on the run in hiding for the rest of it with most of the world thinking that he was still a criminal. Though he did have people he loved and cared about know the truth about him. Snape didn’t have that, he lived his whole life without anyone showing love for him(besides Lily, even though it was more so kindness) and was perceived as a bad guy until the very end at his death
Interesting to me that, in a very SMALL way, peter saw some type of redemption when Harry told him he spared him from dying. Imo, Peter saw at the very last minute that he didnt have to obey or hide behind someone powerful. That he could have his own choice for once out of bravery. But due to that thought, I believe his new hand that was bestowed upon him by Voldemort was triggered to kill him as he thought of betraying his master by letting harry go. In that small fraction of a second, he thought of how his friends died for each other showing bravery and loyalty, and thought of how harry resembled that type of respect by not killing one another for revenge. Although we all know harry’s real reason was to clear Sirius’ name, Peter mustve known that Harry wanted to kill Peter just as much as anyone else, but spaired him none the less. My final thought, Peter respected Harry for holding such resilience from not killing him or letting Sirius or Lupin kill him back then, and thought to himself for a split second, that Peter could for once do the same and not cower to somebody else’s bidding or revenge by letting one of his old best friend’s son die, thus letting harry go after harry said he didnt let him die, both as a final act of courage for all his years of deceitfulness, and as even respect for Harry spairing his life while no one else would, even knowing Voldemort would eventually dispose of him much like he has with anyone else who failed to serve him properly. Once again, leading to the new hand given by Voldemort to choke Peter out out of weakness/betrayal, ultimately killing once again, one of and the last of the marauders who resisted the Dark Lord.
But remember, the silver hand was designed to instantly choke out Peter should his loyalty to Voldemort ever waiver even slightly. When Wormtail hesitated he was trying to remember the moment when Harry saved the former's life; therefore, the silver hand simply interpreted the hesitation as a sign of weakness to Voldemort
But Sirius's death was the most saddest of all. Harry literally considered sirius as his father, and it was Hard for harry to lose his godfather to whom he cared most about !!
Very well done. I see MANY poorly guessed and blithely written fan theorems, attempts at second guessing things already clarified in the books and following material, and equally as many would be junior Rowlings trying to re-write her works in their own images. In this writing, You clearly told a history, and in a manner easily followed, and understood. I appreciate good work. This is good work.
I still find it heartbreaking because immediately after the Potters died Sirius didn't get to see Harry until he escaped from Azkaban, and the first thing he did was pay Harry a visit in Privet Drive :'(
Sirius’ story is pretty sad because he was wrongfully accused of something he didn’t do and even when he almost had a family he died alongside his godson and never had a proper family
sirius never killed a muggled not a single one thats why he was wrongly accused in reality peter pettigrew set off a bomb that killed 12 people and sirius only managed to get pettigrews pinky or one of his fingers to be taken off where peter than transformed and ran away leaving sirius and 12 completely obliterated muggle bodies and 1 of peters fingers
@@gawoopydawoopy758 Something doesn't make sense. How would a finger be the only thing left after a blast. Also Peter cut off his own finger so it would be a clean cut. If a blast took it off it would be a ragged break. Other parts of Peter's body should be there. They weren't. There is another thing. Why was Sirius never tried. Surely it would have been sensational even more than the trial of the four who tortured the Longbottoms. They never went to trial because they didn't have a case. It's plain and simple. In a proper trial Sirius's innocence would be discovered and he'd be set free. Oh the embarrassment! That's why he wasn't freed. He was held in prison to cover up serious errors committed by the Ministry of Magic.

If you think about it it makes a bit of sense: he's fighting a war, alongside his wife, against the most dangerous and evil wizard of all time, fighting against him three times, when he gets word that he's going to have a kid, and his kid is being targeted by said wizard. Wouldn't that age you prematurely as well?
They aged all the marauders waaayyy up for the films, they were worried that people wouldn't associate James and Lily as being Harry's parents if they didn't look middle aged. They should have been in their early 20s when they were killed, but they cast actors much older than that. It's a shame, too; the tragedies of James and Lily's deaths are so much more poignant when you stop to think about how young they really were, and how much they had stolen from them.

The world saw Harry either of two ways: The dark side saw him as an enemy and the rest saw him as a special tool to defeat the evil but for the three best friends, he was the boy they loved and they did everything in their power do protect him. Even in the last moment. They came from the beyond, to be with him in the moment he faced his fate. It’s heartbreaking that James, Sirius and Remus died so young. James and Remus had just married the loves of their lives and become fathers, yet they never truly got a chance to experience it. And Sirius lost years of his life stuck in Azkaban framed for a crime he didn’t commit. And after only just being exonerated, he dies shortly after his freedom. It’s such an injustice that Peter outlived them all except Remus. He deserved so much worse a fate then he got.

Gosh basically what I learned from all this is that Sirius had the most tragic life and all he did was do whatever he could for those he loved. Remus' life was almost just as tragic but at least he had parents who loved him and Tonks (albeit for a short time before both of their deaths) who loved him too and he had some happiness. Sirius pretty much never got any ever. He died having been alone for years, without any freedom, and with a false horrible reputation. He had only ever the slightest glimmer of hope when he and harry were planning to live together to be a proper family. But of course, he was killed and the dream was snatched from him and Harry immediately. Frankly, the 3 of them were brilliant characters who died so young. It really is so sad. But also makes me want to read the books again. There really should be a prequel series. It would be brilliant.
yep sirius also had to go through the thought of remus (his bf) thinking that he betrayed him but i am pretty sure remus doubted that sirius committed that betrayal

I think it’s fascinating that in most depictions of werewolves, they’re shown as only hunting those branded as prey (OG Wolf-Man) or just acting as angry, scared animals. But in HP, or at least Lupin, they have the NEED to bite. Man being a lycanthrope sucks in the wizarding world
Ikr, when Remus would transform as a child, his parents would have to lock him in a room and as he got older they would have to place silencing charms to drown out the howls
Well not all lycanthropes are bad. WereBears for example are usually always good, and from what I’ve read have the power of turning their lycanthropy on and off at will!! And don’t go after non lycanthropes. But most still retain their human minds and hearts.

I know. Sirius's story makes me sad the most because he never really got a chance to properly mourn James. Technically his last words were off-page, so you couldn't read them. That's such a shame because reading (or watching) him fighting Dolohov would have been amazing.
For real . The ending for Lupin was rather bitter but far more sweeter than he could ever hope for. He is dead but his wife by his side and he will see his parents and best friends again in the afterlife and never lose them again. He will probably see Dumbledore too. Moreover he is no longer a werewolf and neither is his son who apart from being spared from that still has his grandmother and Harry to look after him in a world without Voldemort.

My point is: I think James had a happy life that ended to soon. Tragic death, sure, but not a tragic life. But Remus and Sirius have been through more in their lifes. So yeah, their lifes have been as tragic as their deaths
In my opinion, I think that Sirius is the most who suffered and desreved to be a hero, He lost his friend James, and he was sent to prison for a crime he didn't comitte, the twelve years he always knew his innocense, he escaped to live happily with his bestfriend's son, but he couldn't, and after all that, he died by his own cousin. And lupin had to see his friends die like that, he lost what he always thought was everything to him, both of them are really the braviest wizards existed. James was a bully, and he always bullied snape, wanted everything for himself, even though he grew up and forgot all that crap, but he didn't suffer like those two, they are the true heros of the story
Hmm, I agree. James gets most of the credit for dying and, sure, that’s heroic, but I think some people forget about the things Sirius and Remus went through. Sirius blamed himself for James’ death, was exiled(?) from his family, got locked up in Azkaban for a crime he didn’t commit, lost his best friend James and his brother Regulus and was killed by his own cousin. And then there’s Remus... a werewolf who went through great pain every month and lived in constant fear of people finding out about his condition. One of his best friends was murdered by voldy, another supposedly killed by his other best friend who got locked up in Azkaban. He was left alone to deal with the painful transformations with no good job or not a lot of money. Then when he was finally happy(ish) with a wife and a son, he was killed by Dolohov. Sorry this is so long lmao 😂
it's not like James Potter could suffer any longer, as he died at the hands of Voldemort. But where Sirius and Remus both died, knowing that Harry and Teddy were protected, and James would be waiting for them on the other side, James had the worst death of them all. Being killed, being betrayed by someone he saw as a friend (and probably cursing himself for the fact that no one knew Sirius was innocent and fearing what would happen to Sirius then), and fearing for the life of his wife and child who were hidding in the bedroom upstairs. And the worst part is that James couldn't even find his wand to defend himself and his family. How he must have cursed himself in that moment, no one will know. James and Lily died as heroes, trying to protect their son when they had no hope at all. That's what I call bravery... because they knew no one would be able to protect them, they were going to die... but they tried to defend Harry ( And James would have tried to defend Lily as well... WITHOUT HIS WAND. Against the WORST AND MOST EVIL SORCERER OF ALL TIME.) I doubt he saw a happy face before he died. Yes James made mistakes, but for the fact that he joined the order, and protected his family at all costs, I think you should be able to forgive him... it's not like he is acting like Snape who was fine with an innocent baby being killed. If Snape had his way Lily would be a childless widow, probably commiting suicide right after her son was killed. I'm not sure.... if your opinion is correct? How many things do you see flashing before your eyes when you die? James died in agony, Sirius looked to his godchild ( son of James) who adored him more than everyone and Remus closeby, and Remus was in Hogwards with his wife and friends when they died. James and Lily were killed way too young, just like Fred. And for what purpose other then someone needed them out of the way? Sirius and Remus died standing, protecting so many things, fighting bravely in a war. Something James could never experience.

@@oceanussolis1137 Meh, nevertheless james got what he deserved
@@awddfg so you think bullies who mature deserve to die? That’s a bit fucked up but you do you I guess

Siruis and Snape... Honestly though, both of them have the most underrated storylines😤😕
Woah this is a very good theory love it
This is exactly what i've thought about when i watch the movie
But remember, the silver hand was designed to instantly choke out Peter should his loyalty to Voldemort ever waiver even slightly. When Wormtail hesitated he was trying to remember the moment when Harry saved the former's life; therefore, the silver hand simply interpreted the hesitation as a sign of weakness to Voldemort
@@ianh7525 I believe that’s almost exactly what he said, just in fewer words

There is another thing. Why was Sirius never tried. Surely it would have been sensational even more than the trial of the four who tortured the Longbottoms. They never went to trial because they didn't have a case. It's plain and simple. In a proper trial Sirius's innocence would be discovered and he'd be set free. Oh the embarrassment!

Voldemort called Peter by his Marauder nickname Wormtail in order to remind him of the people he betrayed.
@@paulyb7267 yes absolutely
Peter only ever wanted to protect himself
@@paulyb7267 So did Snape since even Snape found Wormtail disgusting and contemptible.
I’m at a loss for words. This is so true.
F*** Peter! 😡🤬🤢🤮
yep sirius also had to go through the thought of remus (his bf) thinking that he betrayed him
but i am pretty sure remus doubted that sirius committed that betrayal
You mean 4. Peter, for at least a moment, was able to overcome his instincts and he was genuinely sorry.

Your right. I looked through his past videos and realized all the best Harry Potter videos I've seen recently were his.
Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite book in the series simply because of the Marauders and the epic finale in the shrieking shack. Finding out Sirius was innocent and Peter was the real culprit was so intense to me reading it as a kid. It was great getting some more background information on all of them and an overall refresh so thanks.
And it's short
itzdat1k1d DaBawzzz it was, as a 3rd grader reading that book, such an intense plot twist to find out about the Marauders and Sirius' innocence and for those emotions it made me feel it remains my favorite as well and i agree it was interesting to see it all put together but am i the only one who protests Peter's inclusion as a Marauder given his betrayal of all off the rest of them!?
also the time warp
@hypnojon32 yeah you're right totally forgot to mention that part too. That was definitely fun and crazy the first time reading/experiencing it. I don't know if that's Hermione's best part in the whole series, since she has so many and it's been so long since I've read the books, but it's definitely got to be up there on the list somewhere.
I agree the twist was a suprise for me as well when ive read it the first time
Having never read the books but fallen in love with the movie, 5:59 gave me chills realizing how special a moment when Harry held Marauders Map. Reading off all pseudonyms of each member.

I’ve always wondered how fred and George found out how to open and close the marauders map
The Marauders probably took a liking to them and gave them hints.
Bianca Diastasi never knew that the marauders were going to be chatting with Fred and George. Lupin nowhere to be seen, James dead, Peter as a rat, and Sirius in Azkaban
@@bigstelad marauders helped them figure it out because they were as much of trouble makers as the marauders. just the way they replied to snape's attempts at opening the map.
Samira Rehman so the marauders felt the need to make it so that if someone young and troublesome saw it they would be able to open it? What if they thought it had dark magic and gave it to snape? That wouldn’t seem to be something clever for them to do. James lupin and Sirius were very clever and would think to only let other people know how to open it by way of mouth
@@bigstelad well, they stole it from Filch's cupboards imt he first place so clearly they didn't abide by rules, and if the map was able to know who it was trying to open it, then they knew the Weasleys and fnew the twins as well

It would’ve been funny if he turned into a snitch
OMG YES UR RIGHT
Cuz he f@*%ing betrayed his friends
I think it’s fascinating that in most depictions of werewolves, they’re shown as only hunting those branded as prey (OG Wolf-Man) or just acting as angry, scared animals. But in HP, or at least Lupin, they have the NEED to bite. Man being a lycanthrope sucks in the wizarding world
Imo it made greyback even more terrifying. The way he sentenced so many to that fate, sentenced a five year old too…
In the Witcher they have a never ending hunger that drives them to chew at themselves when out of prey. Scary stuff

It's so sad, Sirius's last words were: "Nice One, James" this really shows how much that Harry and that's a good thing. Harry is like his father and Sirius saw that I cry every time I watch Sirius die.
Sirius' last words was something thr movies did better then the books
Yea I like that change from the books to the movies the movies have lots of things that r worse then the books but definitely not this
I know. Sirius's story makes me sad the most because he never really got a chance to properly mourn James. James died (And Sirius blames himself) and Sirius got sent to Azkaban shortly after and all he did was obsess over getting revenge. He gets released and meets Harry, who looks and acts so much like the friend he lost years ago. He was so dedicated to becoming Harry's godfather the moment he escaped from Azkaban and he never got a chance to be Harry's family. The only thing that brings me happiness is thinking that Sirius was reunited with James in the end.
Also because James was Harry's middle name
I thought his last words were “you can do better than that “they probably changed it for the movies tho

Yeah, I'm surprised about the age difference between McGonagall and Snape. If you see Snape's memory in the movie (Deathly Hallows Pt2), you can see Snape and Lily as kids getting sorted in Hogwarts, and McGonagall was there, and she was a teacher. So McGonagall was literally Snape's teacher bruh-

Technically his last words were off-page, so you couldn't read them. That's such a shame because reading (or watching) him fighting Dolohov would have been amazing.
Sirius is my favorite, with Lupin as a close second!
lily: brown eyes
harry: blue eyes
everyone: you have your mothers green eyes
(joke)
Apparently they’re both supposed to be green but in the movies Lily’s brown and Harry’s blue
Humidzz what
Not everyone ... JK wrote it in the books
ikr im confused
For real . Harry and Lily had green eyes in the books but no in the movies there had to give Lily brown eyes and Harry FUCKING BLUE , and still had the nerve to let everyone tell Harry "you have your mother eyes ." can't they get one thing right in the movies . On a side note I'm sorry I took being a Potterhead to the extreme .

Peter Pettigrew
I hate Peter
Sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit where he escaped to the Los Angeles underground and now serves as a soldier of fortune.
