The Obulb Pro S and the Plus BOTH have Bluetooth. The Pro S has a longer max runtime (165 hours at the lowest setting) while the Plus has a bigger battery and higher max brightness and a touch interface. The newer Obulbs are bigger than the older ones, that's why only 2 of the newer Obulbs fit on the Omino at the same time.
My old school OD Green i3t is my most used flashlight. I use it for almost everything. It is especially helpful when working on the internals of a computer.
Thanks for the vid. Just wanted to add that the Otackle titanium model does use regular Stanley bases. Which is much improved from the older design that uses those propriety blades that you mentioned. ✌️
That’s interesting about the i3T changing. It’s not a bad thing I don’t think as it’ll save the torch burning out with 10440’s. I do prefer my torches to come on in low mode though.
New-er to flashlight community so not sure if this happened before. Both the i16 comes with neutral white CCT while the i1R 2 Pro (non-limited equiv?) is cold white CCT.
Great vid. Thanks. Couple things…My I3T has no memory, and it is the same doughnut sprinkles version. I tried it across a bunch of different time delays and it always goes back to the low setting. One other thing, the titanium Oracle Pro utility knife now takes regular blades, not the proprietary ones. Mine came with an off-the-shelf Stanley blade. Love the Obulb Plus!
My doughnut doesn't have memory either. I tried both a AAA and my normal 10440 and neither had memory. Is yours a special model??? I did check the lower output with the 10440 and it is less than my older i3Ts. :(
I want the laser, UV light and new two way pocket clip in one flashlight; the Arkfield Pro. I waited for the sale to buy an i5R battery to put in my i5T and it's just immediately out of stock. smh
So sad I just cannot get that donut I3T in Belgium. Tried the French Olight site, tried the German one. No delivery to Belgium. The Benelux one where I should order doesn't even update their site anymore...
I wonder what the run time would be on the new light using the upscale battery if they built in some kind of overvoltage protection, you would think you would get more use out of the battery
I was thinking that also when I discovered my new i3t carbon seemed nicely regulated with a 10440 (still usefully brighter than a standard AAA but not nearly as bright or cold light as my older desert tan i3t) and it would be a good thing to have some runtime extension and that should be the case. It doesn't have memory though but I do like the memory thing as with my Pokelit.
The i3t-eos is a much better light than the i5r with 10440. I Don't bother with the i5t or the i5r because of that. Thanks for sharing about the new i3t-eos didn't know that, hopefully they don't keep it that way.
I got a Carbon i3t recently and first thing I noticed was that it was dimer and slightly warmer colour tone which I like and seemed regulated when I tried a 10440 but I like it being not so bright (still brighter than a standard AAA) and warmer with the 10440 and always use my old i3t with an nimh anyway as I am happy enough with that and find the low 5 lumens useful and didn't like the cold colour tone as much when using a 10440 and I have the Pokelit for 550 lumens anyhow so I like my regulated carbon fibre i3t but it seems not so good with an ordinary AAA as the original version. I also had wondered if the Carbon i3t was faulty.
The Obulb Pro is great (imo). It has Bluetooth also and fits the large plug in charger as a night light. Kicks to battery when the power goes out. Can't justify the $70.00 for the Obulb Plus. Got the Obulb Pro 5 pack for $120.00.
I have 2 obulb pro lights and they are also bluetooth and 240 lumens, the new obulb plus is 50.00 a pop! Very expensive if you ask me, I got arkfield pinwheel bundle bundle because I never had the arkfield, im just a little bummed out because I have 3.00 Ali laser that shine super bright, I mean if your gonna combine a laser on a high level flashlight it should be nice and bright..
The answer to magnetic charging ports is called Oport! BUT unfortunately the Oport is almost always sold out. Try to get at least 2 of them if plan to buy Olights with magnetic charging. For home use the Omino is a good option, too. But it only fits 2 Obulbs at the same time on its 4 charging ports. With any other combination of Olight flashlight simultaneous charging of 4 torches is possible.
I signed up and bought a couple of the Arkfeld UV models, one for me and one for my brother. The $15 off coupon was applied automatically, and I received the free i3E EOS as well.
I like thee Obulb for the low light sort of night light mode otherwise I find them totally useless! Even the 55 lumens on the basic one is to glary so a mid mode would be good. Other than that it's pretty horrible light coming from them. Basically a bright ping pong ball but if that's what people like well I guess that's people for ya. I have a head torch that I shine down (red or white light) onto two stacked glass drinks coasters that is way nicer.
The changes to the i3T are interesting, thanks for sharing. I just had to get one of the sprinkles lights lol, but lack of mode memory and limited output is disappointing. The Obulb Plus might make for an interesting competitor to a video light with its RGB + bluetooth features, but one issue I encountered with the older Obulbs was PWM, which made them a no-go for video as they cause moving lines to appear. Low PWM and efficient drivers with great regulation are why lights like the Aputure MC are so expensive. Still this might be a really useful alternative
i was hoping you had the marauder 2 mini :( i have a perun2 mini as my edc with my cybertool lite then a few i5R dotted about the place and a Baton 3 pro max ( got some nice freebies too, 2 iXv, a GOber Green and just won a worklight/floodlight ) :)
Call me crazy, but I don't really like olight that much. I don't necessarily dislike them, but they just don't offer a lot of lights that I like. Either I don't like the aesthetic, or the features. I like my flashlights to be very basic / simple and to look relatively plain ( like I am with traditional knives ) I loved the I1r2 that I carried for about a year, and the i3e has been one of my grandmothers most favorite gifts ever ( a great gift in general ) , but beyond that a lot of their offerings just aren't something I'd really buy.
Thanks for the video. With the $10 off coupon I got a few O pen mini, the free blue flashlight and I got the L stand free from the wheel spin. Since I have been carrying my O pen mini, on my Leatherman sheath, a few people wanted a O pen and I ended up buying 6, to get free shipping. This way I can give them to a few people and I have a few as backups. I love that little pen. 😅
This is the first video of yours that I've seen, and it surprisingly popped up in my Google news feed. Excellent review, definitely subscribed. Question: I bought the baton S2R about 4 years ago, and fell in love. How does the new version stack up in your opinion? Worth upgrading or better trying the s1r2? Also does the warrior stack up to the new baton like the white one in this video? So many options I'm lost bro.
yep, I messed up because I didn't bother to read the description. I saw the pic with the blades that have holes in them and just assumed it was similar lol.
Olight needs to brighten that laser up, on the O-Pen I get it's, small battery, but on the flashlight, not too many excuses. Weapon lights from crimson trace have a brilliant beam. You can't see the laser during the day working outside. Big miss Olight. Huge miss
I like that it has memory mode. Still the best flashlight company I won't buy a light from...their offerings just don't speak to me...and my use cases...
Both the Baton3 and the Baton3 Pro will NOT work with ANY non-Olight cells - Again: The light won't work at all with standard cells - they won't even turn on!

The titanium utility blade tool can use regular utility blades not proprietary. That was one of the new features with that version.
Ah, I saw the picture with the holes in thr blade and assumed it used same idea.
@@maxlvledc I think it can use their proprietary blades also. I decided to pick one up for the sale just to try it out. Seems kinda cool

It was my mistake, the picture with the utility blade that has holes threw me. Still..there are others I'd buy over this for a similar price
I did get an email back from the rep and he said...does have mode memory...really wierd.
My doughnut doesn't have memory either. I tried both a AAA and my normal 10440 and neither had memory. Is yours a special model??? I did check the lower output with the 10440 and it is less than my older i3Ts. :(
@@tobyhall1167 lower output confirmed 450 or so with 10440. And mine had a wierd flaw..I did an update with another one recently

WTH! Just ordered the donut yesterday, If I can't turbo (10440) it like my other I3ts, gonna give it away. Thanks for the vid.
I've bought many an i3T. I kinda prefer the light going back to low when I turn it off

Great video! Thank you for bringing up the i3T with 10440 difference on the Donut version.
You can get the blades for the Otacle online. At least I did not have any trouble getting them. :)
the otacle pro ti uses standard utility blades... at least that's what they say on their website
Correct, frankly once I saw the pic with the blade that had holes I made a bad assumption

The otacle pro actually takes regular blades, they ship with a Stanley blade
yep, I messed up because I didn't bother to read the description. I saw the pic with the blades that have holes in them and just assumed it was similar lol.
Great video. Thank you for the info on the i3t 👍

I agree
Damn that’s bummer about the 10440.. I just my donut i3t…
the obulb pro S has the most battery life? 156 hours vs 49 hours
Interesting!
After your videos I'm waiting on the skilhunt sales lol

My donut i3t doesn’t have memory mode.
😅😅😅 i would of take some air like you do to with the multi tools too... they look useless
No copper pro?
My Olight i3T Donut 🍩 doesn't have mode memory. 🥳
it not being able to run a 10440 isnt a bad thing. buy a better light if you want brighter. or use an older i3t. consumers arent always right
How long does it last at high?
Which?
