- I said I wanted to, so I did! This is a shorter version of my original video, and after a bit of effort and cutting out certain parts, it isn't blocked in the US.
Amazing.
It's also probably better for anyone that wants to see a slightly shorter video.

We’re all reasonably certain that Max would have never cheated on Georgia.
However, Max and Helen‘s chemistry was not the reason for Georgia being killed off. According to the show runner
David Schulner and producer Peter Horton , it was always planned for Georgia’s character to be killed off from the word go in season one, even before the pilot was filmed.
And as far as Max and Helen was concerned (Sharpwin as they are now called) was never a part of their plan or any part of the big picture. But according to those two gentlemen, they saw the unexpected chemistry between these two characters in the pilot, and couldn’t ignore it. And so the writers chose to explore them in this rather complex and ambiguous manner.
That all makes sense, and it's very interesting to hear about what the writer's were thinking when they started the show!
I miss the wonderful couple so much.
This was exactly what I needed to watch tonight. Now I need a video including season 4 so far. It’s fantastic!!

Why is the music so loud
Sometimes it's louder in places to cover up background music in scenes where the music couldn't easily be removed, sorry!

I still want max and georgia i cant get over season 1. This makes me sad
I liked Georgia and wish they hadn't killed her off!
I loved his relationship with Georgia however there was instant chemistry between these two that was impossible to ignore. The writers knew Max would never cheat so they killed his wife sad but true.
@@butterliz876 I agree, but if they wanted to put Max and Helen together without Max having to cheat, it would've been interesting to see Max and Georgia split up amicably once they realize they aren't compatible anymore or something like that.
@@LeaveTheFutureInThePast I'd like to begin by saying that your video is extraordinarily good. In fact, the truth is, it's excellent! Regarding your comments, perhaps there are a few factors that you have not considered. With those factors in mind, an amicable split between these two characters really wasn't a viable alternative.
1) It seems unlikely that the scriptwriters did not consider simply splitting Max and Georgia up. After all, we know that Georgia had walked out on Max once. Later, during her pregnancy, she threatened to do so again-but for a different reason.
2) From what you, I, and probably most viewers could see, Max and Georgia appeared to be stuck in an unhappy marriage, and it was quite clear to many of us that Max and Georgia were simply incompatible. Of course, as we all know, Georgia made it quite clear that she was downright miserable in their marriage. (It appeared that they married soon after they met, before they had an opportunity to see that they each wanted a different kind of spouse.)
3) It would not have been simply a matter of putting Max and Helen together without creating a situation in which Max was involved in an extra-marital affair. If that had been the scriptwriters' goal, Georgia would still be alive. Georgia presented a deeper problem than that. The reality is, Georgia was an obstacle in Max's path.
4) As you probably know, the scriptwriters gave us several clues in Season 1 that Max and Georgia were not in love with each other. When Georgia walked out on Max, she did not know she was pregnant. She left him because it had become quite clear to her that she was not what was most important to him. Later, when Georgia threatened to leave him again, Luna was well on her way. At that point, Georgia's complaint was that she couldn't bear the thought of her daughter knowing that she was not the most important thing in her father's life. In other words, had Georgia lived that complaint would also have lived on.
5) In terms of the hero's journey, once Luna was born, Georgia no longer served a useful purpose. In fact, she was an obstacle because she was not capable of allowing Max to continue to pursue his goal without being a hindrance to him. Georgia would have simply been an unnecessary and nagging distraction for Max.
6) The rule is, any character who doesn't aid in moving the hero's story forward should immediately be eliminated.
Personally, although I did not dislike Georgia, she had a cold streak that I have never missed. Georgia had to have known how important NAH was to Max and why-and yet she was able to easily dismiss Max's feelings in favor of her own feelings. Then, there was that line she delivered, "When it's gone, it's gone." Since that was how Georgia viewed Max's life, I had no problem accepting the fact that she was gone.

I get everything you're saying about Georgia and the hero's journey. I understand the technical writer point of view, where Georgia is an obstacle in Max's jouorney.
But on an emotional level, I would have liked to have seen Georgia grow and learn and become a better version of herself, even if I can guess that the writers already thought about what they would do if they hadn't killed her. The writers are there to think of every possibility, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had considered letting her live.
I'm okay with what they ended up doing, but I personally like to think about what could have been for her character, if she had been given the chance to exist separately to Max and to go and actually be her own person. It's just an interesting thought experiment for me.
