First, I'll just say - thank you so much for over 2000 subscribers! Now, my thoughts on these two. It's confirmed that Tuello isn't the father of Serena's baby, by the showrunner himself. There are still theories coming out that they had a secret affair or something, but it didn't happen! Tuello is written to be good at his job. Good at charming people, good at getting what he needs out of people. So, I have to assume that he's doing the same here with Serena. He could have developed some small kind of attraction towards her at first. It would totally make sense, considering he's spent years studying her. Then he meets her in person, and she's equally as charming as he is... But once he found out what she did to June, I would imagine that attraction would begin to fade. Or he still feels a tiny part of it, but he doesn't like that he feels that way. Whilst still trying to get Serena to do what he needs her to, he might also feel sorry for her, and still want to get her safely out of Gilead and away from the possibility of more abuse. Even if it's from a system that she helped create herself. Serena likes being the center of attention, and likes that she can charm people. So, I'd bet that she thinks she's making Tuello fall for her. Without realizing that he's also using her in multiple ways. She's too overconfident in her abilities to accept that she could be used so easily without even knowing it. Tuello is too professional to act on any feelings he may or may not have. And the writers are clearly having the time of their lives writing Tuello as purposefully vague in terms of what his real feelings towards Serena are. Does he have any romantic inclination towards her, or is it all just a ploy to get her on his side? Is any of it real? [Spoilers for Season 5] Well, she's technically not under his custody anymore. So, if they do see each other again, I'd like to see some honesty between them about what they think is going on there. Those are just my thoughts anyway, comment below what you think about these two and where you'd want their dynamic to go this season!
I dunno why I loves her so deeply and ship the couple!!! Serena is so incomprehensible to me. Like…. A fruit of the real system that she created in all thoughts and actions.
Serena and Lawrance both! They literally wrote the book of Guliad. Then they were horrified at how far things got. When Eden was drowned, she looked pretty upset, and also when they cut off her finger.
I always thought Tuello first saw her as an imperfect victim. Someone in need of help. That and he was swayed by her beauty - it helped build this narrative in his head, however when Fred revealed how she forced Nick and June, I think Tuello really started to see what she was and he repressed any attraction he might have had. He always has a soft spot for her though. For Serena, he's what she won't let herself have because of her religious beliefs, her allegiances and probably self-hate too. Mark could be a man who actually forces her to confront her internalized misogyny, her deep need for love and affection. He could be a man who shows her what love and loyalty are supposed to look like. Sadly, Serena doesn't believe she deserves that, that and their circumstances just make them together impossible. She's too attached to her social status and is terrified of what it would mean if she finally turned her back on Gilead and their values. Then all the pain and the blood, all of her life work would've been for nothing.
I never really thought of him as her love interest anyway personally. He's a trained agent, and part of his job is to get other people to trust him, which I think he did very well with Serena!
I did think mark and serena had something going on in earlier seasons and then serena became evil so i thought yea no chance! she doesnt deserve to find love with a good guy..but i just finished season 5 and im back to what i thought. R the actors in love or something cause if not they should star in a romance drama or something cause their chemistry is so good😅 but anyway i feel like serenas scenes with mark this season is like insinuating that there might be something there..like the tension between them, n that kiss on cheek or maybe that kiss on cheek was just a goodbye kiss but seriously their scenes on s5 made me think that them as a pairing is possible..cause serena might be heading to a redemption arc story..i need answers!!
I don't think she's being redeemed, I don't even think Yvonne thinks her character is being redeemed. And I think Mark and Serena both use each other to get what they need. But I respect your opinion!
I have to watch this series again. The relationship between Serena and Mark is truly a mystery. I feel like they are so different and at the same time similar, but not this Serena, probably who she once was, acting almost like a dreamcatcher. Mark brings to the surface something that comforts Serena at her core, and dismantles her. The kiss, the looks... You feel like there's something, but that's not enough for either Mark or Serena. In fact, none of them. The characters live in a constant of choices, good and bad, that unites them and separates them at some point. Serena and Mark are not June and Nick, and the feelings they feel for each other are more confusing and illusory, it's like looking at a three-dimensional painting, nothing is what it seems, although part of it is real, and part of it is definitely not. Serena's kiss on his cheek is something that really demands analysis, what do they feel about each other? I don't see that they hate each other, they don't love each other, but do they understand each other? If I were Serena, I would see in Mark a man that I could have loved to love, before... First of all, I feel that she feels this deeply, and Mark feels this too, that's why they use each other, and they have this mysterious and lubricious connection .

I can see why canada has to maintain a policy of neutrality ,both the republic and the US still have nuclear assets.most of the intercontinental ballistic fleet was destroyed in their silos by rogue US elements who didn't want an all powerful Gilead republic but they didn't get the short range of the peacekeeper fleet.the rump US states have the assets that are in their naval forces and some in their long range bomber forces that Gilead couldn't reach .when the republic finally quells the resistance in the west and south they'll turn their eye towards canada.mexico maybe in the future after they deal with an independent texas.

I ship them hard, not going to lie.
I don't know if I ship them, but I find their dynamic incredibly intriguing at least!
I dunno why I loves her so deeply and ship the couple!!! Serena is so incomprehensible to me. Like…. A fruit of the real system that she created in all thoughts and actions.

Their relationship this season was very interesting… It felt a little more like he wasmore of her protector than her love interest.

@@LeaveTheFutureInThePast True. It just felt a little different than his relationtship with, say, June.
Great video! I'm very looking forward to see what's going to happen with
those two next season.
Thanks, me too! Haven't seen them together since 5x04 so fingers crossed for something next season...
I love the piano Music you have spilled into their Grey kind of Green.
Omg I love this! You deserve all the awards for making this ❤
I really appreciate that, thanks so much!
You edited this video so beautifully!

I feel the same. It must be amazing casting them in drama mystery movie. :)

I SHIP THEM SO HARD AHHH, just let them be together eventually
She's in love with june
It's all up to personal interpretation I guess!

Do you think Mark put Serena on the train?
For sure
He takes care of Serena, just like Nick takes care of June.
