Follow my only vans to watch me smash more back doors stew
Hahaha 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣😁
You been hiding ? not seen you in awhile.
@@BrianM0OAB Oi oi mate I dropped my lad off by yours the other day. I’m still around 🤜
@@prepcooksurvive5807 hope you had a good Christmas and happy new year to you n all
Wish I could afford the Land rover, glad the damage wasn't to bad, I'm hoping to get out more in 2023 as I've just had a double lung transplant which has held me back for the past few years before the issues I taught bushcraft for a local authority to kids who didn't fit in at school, keep up the great videos!
So basically, Stu smashed your back doors in 😮 only joking, good opportunity to extend the upper rear wall outwards before you fit the new window too, gives you some more room inside for storage or secure external storage ?.
Battle scars are optional extras on a Landrover. The option is never to use them as intended. Not much fun!
Congratulations to the winners well done guys fantastic video rich happy new year to you and the bugout crew stay safe all.👍🍺👍👍🍺🍺🍺🍺🥳🥳🥳
Happy new year pal.
Phew! So glad it's not totalled, good on you for keeping at the insurance co. If someone makes a sensible offer and you accept they are in for one hell of a great vehicle and project. Wish I had a spare £25k to £30k to barter with.
It’s a good adventure truck for some one that wants to do some serious tracks. This was the line in the sand for me to get a modern 4x4 tho.
Rich can you improve the angle of departure for your van by not having that extra rear bar across the back with the lights?
Happy New year pal 😀👍battle ship grey with black on bonnet roof and them back Doors. OUT
Aah that's bittersweet news on Edna... so glad it can be repaired when the different elements are broken down and sorted individually (outer ali metalwork, rear doors etc).
But then again it will be a shame to eventually see her moving on.
Completely understand the reasoning behind the Sprinter and it will serve as a great overland no doubts.
Happy New Year Rich, glad Edna’s not dead and the positive of the Sprinter has come out of it all,
Hope Stu’s ok I know he would have been stressed by rear ending you,
ATB pal
Happy new year pal. Can’t wait to have the van fitted out now and get back on the road.
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk off to Nash again in the LR 13-14-15 Jan 💪
Can’t wait to see how the van turns out,
I’m looking for a XLWB van now to get it converted, I’ll be packing the work in soon and want to trip around Norway and Iceland for a while 👍
Cheers outdoor junky was gutted and was peed with the insurance as well. Took forever to pay and made me anxious af. I’m glad it’s sorted now 🤜
@@prepcooksurvive5807 Have you finished your trailer yet?
Quick question on land rovers, are bush wires legal in the U.K, as I’ve just brought a defender with them fitted ?
How about £3.51, 7 Mars bars and a Milky Way thrown in for good luck?! Naturally, I jest and anyway I am in Japan. On a serious note though, since you are intending to remove the rear doors, how about improving the departure angle slightly by slanting it up at the end? Essentially a corner cut-off as looking from the side. The Disco driver must have had quite a scary moment when he realised his brakes weren't working.
I thought about the angle but if it does the bomb hole it’s not a bad set up.
The break line to the rear breaks burst and he lost pressure. And to top it off it’s an auto so he had no chance.
It'll be a sad day when EdnA roll's of into the distance. But thats life i suppose.
Cheers for taking the time to explain he outcome of the prang.
See if one of the salvage channels on here want to colaberAte. Film the repairs for content on both channels. Agree your price at the start and split any profit at the end when it’s sold? Maybe even a overlanding builders channel if there’s such a thing? Best of luck what ever way it works out.
what happened to the truck build ?, i know its hard to sell a Landy, i had to sell 2 to buy my Daf T244. It Hurt.
Glad it’s not as bad as you thought Rich. I like your train of thought but would be sad to see her go as Edna has been the star of the show 👍 Just sold my defender as she wasn’t get used at all. Liking the look of the new sprinter 👍
Cheers
Glad she wil live again was slightly worried van life had infected you... Look forward to seeing you both at some point
Sad to Edna go but She has Done Well ✔️ 😪 onwards with the New Adventures in the New Year Wishing you and Yours all the Best for 2023 👍🚐🇮🇪
To be fair Iv never had a car longer than a couple of years so 9 isn’t bad.
Just checked out the Traction website - nice kit
You drive a hard bargain, £4.50 and 6 mars bars!! How about that?
i wonder, and bear in mind i'm not properly caffinated yet for the day, if the steel frame you built could be pulled straight and have everything pop back into place? or mostly back into place then wall it like you said with lightening updates/ upgrades. then the paint repaired by someone good with an air brush?
That’s the l plan
Really pleased to see it's not the end of the road for Edna
Alas I don't have enough mars bars or driveway space for her but I'm sure she will go to a good home
Happy New year and new adventures to come
She will be back up and running in no time.
What chair are you sitting on m8 I need one but being a bigger bloke than most they break
I dunno about £3.50 and a Mars bar but I could stretch to a Ten Bag and a jazz mag?
Seriously though, it's a pleasure to see someone so magnanimous after their vehicle taking a smack. AND sticking it to the insurance bar stewards to boot! Good work.
Also, bonus bro points for the Fake Taxi sticker! PMSL
Good luck.
Lol. Thanks
Another great Vid Richard , always a great watch
Hi Rich just found your site and wanted to say it’s totally awesome. I’m going to be watching the back catalogue of videos. Cheers buddy keep up the great work 👍
Thank you very much.
Got to see it repaired......Good content......
what about a custom rear bummper like ur fromt one
it would nice to see u fix it and then rent it out happy new year pal do love the vid
I just need the money out of it to do the daf now.
If this isnt the perfect chance to craft a Landylimo, then I dont know what is!
I wondered what ever happened to your Landy. Shame she’s getting sold but good luck with the sprinter.
Thank you.
Congratulation to the winners. Happy New Years everyone. Best wishes Rich.
Happy new year pal. Hope you have a good one.
Talking a lot of sense... as usual. 👍
Thing that you can't underestimate, with something like this, is the amount of effort and motivation it takes to actually get it done.
It's easy to say "just crack on" but when you've got a job, a life, and other things to do it's easy to keep putting it off and then, in 5 year's time, it's sitting in a field, rusty, covered in dirt and you end up selling it for half of what it's worth.
The insurance payout needs to reflect the value of the time and effort you'll spend when you could have been doing other things.
same thing when it comes to the value of the vehicle overall.
If a buyer isn't prepared to pay for a vehicle like Edna, they just need to find themselves an old 130 ambulance, do the mechanical restoration and then build themselves a camper interior for it... and then, in 5 years time, when it's half-finished, they might realise where the value of a vehicle like Edna lies.
It’s a crazy market too. I don’t see why they are worth so much but that’s the price of Landy campers now. Half of me wished they did write it off so I didn’t have to deal with it.
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk I bought my last Defender for £3.5k with some mechanical issues, fixed it, ran it for 3 years and flogged it for £5k.
These days, the cheapest Defenders I see are north of £10k and they absolute basket cases.
I guess it's just market forces at work.
@@SiCrewe it’s crazy. To me the Landy is worth £15k fixed but the market is bonkers. Standard pulse ambulances going for £30k
i need to win the lottery asap
Congratulations fellas,
Nice little video rich . Looking good in black too mate 👊
Thanks pal.
Only in my dreams 😢
👍🏼🚐🛠
1 of a kind priceless in my eyes 👌
It is but unfortunately that makes it hard to sell as it’s a lot of money for a very specific build.
Good vid - every cloud has a silver lining- the mods you suggest to the back sound awesome- good luck and look forward to seeing the sprinter coming along and all the best for 2023 from over the pond!
What's happening with the overland truck and the range rover
I don’t have time to work on everything but I film what I do so you can see when things move forward
Thankyou
I remember telling you a while ago that you camper landy is worth allot.
Good to hear you are ok.
Nice insurance job.
Oh yea I love being off the road for 6 months lol
no loss to you how long it takes to sell. every year land rovers go up in price. the longer it takes to fix and sell the more it will be worth :D
That’s it mate. The longer I have it the more odd jobs get done and the higher the price.
I'm very please the Edna is going to be fixed Rich. I also own a 4x4 camper (L300). I know it's all personal opinion, but I'd not own a 4x4 and caravan or swag/tent over a camper. I've owned mine for twenty years and think it's just the best set up. All the best for 2023 from the land down under...
Nothing better than a good hard shell camper in bad weather.
Disappointing as a UA-cam viewer, the landrover is cool but I’d do the exact same. Different level of comfort
I can’t keep them all and I need something I can cover miles fast in to get vids done further away.
4.50 and 2mars bars
Maybe a cream egg too
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk sure, ill throw in a pack of those
A 4 pack of John smiths a fiver and a deep fried mars bar that’s my best offer lol.
It would be a shame to see the Landy go but on the other hand be nice to see the van get built up, got to move on with things.
That’s a strong offer
Thanks for the update!
Great to hear about your plans Rich 👍
Do what you gotta do and stick to your guns you will know the best for you .keep on trucking 🚚 catch you on the next one happy new year to to you and yours.
See you next year.
Happy new year pal.
Would the Merc not stand up to this the?
Not sure what that means.
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk Oh sorry mate! Does the Land Rover outperform the Merc in every aspect?
@@jasonantigua6825 off road yes. It’s not even close with the flex and grip the Landy gets. The other side of that is the van will sit at 70 with cruise control on for hours with good sound proofing warm dry and comfortable and then still get up the tracks when you get to the lanes.
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk Ok mate,I’m a novice so just trying to educate myself! I like both your vehicle’s. Love the channel big fella. Happy New Year.
Fancy a trade for a set of brand new baby shark air horns? Still has the original box!
Tempting
Glad it all got sorted out mate
And looking forward to the content in 2023 keep up the good work
Thanks pal
It’s a shame 2 see it in that state but also can’t wait 2 see the build of the sprinter.! Going 2 be a good year next year 2 watch
Yea should be some good vids kitting the sprinter out fixing the Landy then getting the daf on the road.
Great to see you back with an update on edna and how awesome are those hoodies rich?.. 👍
Yea it actually fits a big bloke.
£4.50 and 10 Mars Bars and a Creme Egg.....??
Bold offer
Would be a shame to see the old girl go but moving on to bigger and better things
Yea. It’s not been great but it’s pushed me to change direction
Don't sell Edna fix her and rent her out there are plenty people out there that would love a holiday with her could be a nice little earner you could get a rental company to do all that for you and bank it for your wee monster who must be getting big now our wee monster is bigger than granma lol all the best Gibby
I’d rather have a big chunk to build the daf than a trickle of money on the odd weekend tho. Deffo need to thin out the toys and get out filming.
Happy new year to you & yours Fair point onward & upwards all the best Gibby in OZ
Been meaning to ask, any daf update? Cheers
If there isn’t a video nothing has been done. Only so much stuff I can do in my spare time.
@Bug out vehicles UK no worries dude, thought I'd ask, will still be watching the content regardless! All the best for 2023
It would be nice to see some videos of the repairs being done if you get the chance to do some. That way something good will come out of a bad situation. It’s also great that you are treating your viewers to some prizes. Yours is a channel that I really enjoy that is not full of bull poo. Thank you for all you do and have a great New Year.
Thank you. That means a lot. Have a good one.
Great news about your landy rich, hope you had a great Christmas and have a brilliant new year mate.
Thanks pal. And you.
Superb content as always , looking forward to seeing the sprinter on completion , be nice also to see the land back to its former glory
Deffo
Congrats to the winners. Wish I had the money to buy Edna, she’s a classic! Happy New Year to all stay safe and atb 👍🦊
Happy new year pal. Hope you have a good one.
Great entertainment. Just a thought, If you are going to modify the rear of the Landy. Would it be worth slightly changing the departure angle so you have a bit more clearance?
I think Iv proven that she does alright off road now. Main job Is not modify but make right and tidy up.
Sounds like a lot of work to get everything back together. Shame you aren’t keeping it, if I had the money I would put an offer in!
It’s a faf but after 6 months off the road I’m keen to crack on and get back out.
Nice one Rich, glad Edna aint getting scrapped. All The Best for 23 👍
You too.
Nice, I was wondering about Edna! After all the work you have put into it it should not be sold cheap. Any offer less than 45K in its current state should be ignored.
On a side note I am sure that Stu is still gutted!
To be fair I think about £40k fixed is fair. Once the sprinter is set up I will look at what’s needed so simplify a lot of bits on it and tidy it up.
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk Please remember that you have given years of history. I do understand your new choice though! You choose dude!
If all else fails try wales, the wife said ad neva get up the " bombhole" she wasn't happy when i did
Cracking video Rich just like to say a happy new year to you and the family and everyone else that follows you have a great 2023
i think i would cry if you know what i mean
