By the look of it, the guys had pretty good chance of adding even more artefacts to the underground wonders, like a corpse in jeans with zippers on the knees with stupid mask and no caving equipment .
Cars like elephants know they are about to die. So they sneak off alone, to be at peace. Sadly thousands upon thousands of cars just "disappear" every year, without any trace. R.I.P. old friends, Car Heaven is no junkyard. Batteries never run out. There is gas for all.
Well, when jeans were created, they were actually working pants. People (e.g. gold miners) in mines and cave systems had only pants out of fabric, leather and other soft material. They were easy to tear apart but the jeans were harder and safer. That's why they were created in the first place. Only working class people had jeans back then. I know that there are now actual clothes for that sort of things but hey, jeans are something. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I wish you got more views on these videos, ive been watching you a few years now love the vibe and personality you have and every video feels like a story. I envy your 1st hand experiences of all of these locations but at the same time greatly appreciate your dedication and effort into your videos and creating great content. Thanks Josh :))
I couldn’t find any comments identifying the types of cars in the cave, so for whoever is interested, here goes. In the water, the car on its side and nearest to the camera looks like the rear of one of the BMC ADO16 cars (e.g. Austin/Morris 1100 or 1300), with a Saab 96 above it. The car resting on the Saab matches the shape of a Vauxhall Victor 101, but I can’t be certain. Above the water I saw two Mark 2 Ford Cortinas (a pale blue estate and the rear of a dark blue saloon, on its side behind the estate one), the rear of a Triumph Dolomite (dark green, under the Cortina Estate), a Mark 1 Ford Capri (same pale blue, the car that one climber fell into), a Ford Corsair (maroon red - the one in the foreground that they climbed over) and under the Corsair, one of the BMC Farina cars (grey, an Austin Cambridge I think). Finally at the far side, a black Mini van (not a Mini Clubman as stated by one of the climbers). The rest were too mangled, buried or submerged to identify from the footage. All of those identified seem to be of late 1960s or early 1970s vintage.
@Rick Miller I read somewhere that the county or whatever that this is in used this strictly for cars involved in road accidents. So yes it's all junk.
In the USA the cars arenin rivers and lakes. Lots of insurance fraud and an occasional missing person with their missing car.. Watch Adventure With Purpose!
If you're here for the video title skip to 16:35 to save time. You're welcome. Also such a shame a beautiful cave with what looks like pristine water ruined by human trash.
I have to agree. I kept tapping my screen to get past them arriving at the cars. And totally disappointed at how much we seen when they arrived. Boring video.
This video was wild ... maybe cars where people were killed and thrown to hide evidence or cars to collect insurance and get new ones can be many things
matt clark they don't look like stolen vehicles that were taken for a joy ride... they are stripped down... possibly from a illegal chop-shop where parts were sold off and these are the remains that were dumped or as someone else has suggested legal business with nowhere else to get rid of the unwanted parts.
It's crazy to think that everything in these places he visits, was once mint condition. Every car in this cave was once brand new, the mine cart at the beginning of the video was once used regularly by workers. The teapot once sat in a kitchen of a house torn down years ago. But since forgotten. Likely to never see the sky again, living on only in this video. Josh you keep these places alive. Record it's history and preserve its future. Never stop doing what you love Josh. You're making a difference Edit: corrected a typo
this is so crazy, it's ridiculously pretty. i love your videos, i've been watching them since about 2016 and i really appreciate the way you explore things and talk about the history behind places. it's fascinating as hell.
It's nice that people go out to have fun like this, but this needs to be said: This is 100% *not* how you go into caves. You need to atleast be wearing warm clothing (even in warm weather, it's cooler underground) a helmet, a light and a backup light on each person. You also can't be touching things like the old chain ( 4:57 ) or standing on the cars, since we need to protect any artefacts within the caves or mines. They wither away very quickly and so cavers don't touch them. Many many people have been to this location before you, and have preserved it for you, and I hope everything is still intact when I explore it for the first time in the future. People climbing on the cars is not only dangerous for them, (those cars will probably move alot in the next decade) but decreases the chances of new explorers being able to see these wonders. I find that the air is much better to breathe in caves, since the air is more humid underground. This means you can wear contact lenses in your eyes for longer and they'll feel comfortable, and can breathe easier. (THIS IS NOT THE CASE FOR MINES! ) This is why I'm confused as to why you have a huge mask on, when the air is literally better to breathe underground than outside. (maybe you thought that the radon would affect you? but you'd have to live underground to be affected by this...) you might have done this BUT! it would have been cool if you mentioned that you set an arranged callout with a friend to phone cave rescue if anything happened to you guys to set a good example. I feel from watching that at least one of you knew what you were doing and you probably set a callout, but it would have been awesome to see one of you holding a map or description of the cave, or even some sort of awareness about how to carry yourselves once inside. I'm not claiming to be an expert at caving, but if anyone is interested, I'm a British caver and I've got a whole video on cave safety on my youtube channel, going through safe cave practice. I have many videos online about caves and in each one, I try to set a good example on how to go through a cave. Check out other cavers such as caver keith or even go to UK caving online to find out more about how to actually go underground.
Lord Bacon Butties probably none, this place was just used as a dumping ground for residents nearby to put garbage after the mine closed, this isnt really a phenomenon
I can read the plate "AVH 717K" which is from 1971-72, but there's no information about the plate on the database because it's not been on the road since prior to 1983.

While watching them climb through the small entrance and climb down I realized I probably would have hit my head so many times and slipped in the first couple mins and just accept my fate 😂😂 to hell I go!
Another reason the water is toxic is the huge amounts of arsenic and other minerals in it. Just learning this in my geo 101, thought it might be helpful:) always be careful of stagnant water especially when in caves. Running river water of course is safe because of how diluted it is of all those minerals. But because cave and ground water is stagnant and fresh from in the ground, it doesn't have the time or way to be filtered out.
This is nuts, you guys should have had ropes, spikes gloves as cautionary equipment!!!! One loose rock and it would have been a head splitting bloody mess. Do us all a favor, next fantastic exploration safety equip yourselves better, please!
Ropes harness set by qualified rappel master were in order here. I am a safety second kind of guy :) but in this instance I have to admit I was worried. There are plenty of good rappel masters who would have gladly helped for free. They have an adventurous spirit by nature.
An really old man white haired man, lives not too far from the opening. He has ran a Motel there for many years. When I was a kid, he would pay me 2 pence to drag bags of wet laundry over to another hidden hole just to the East, and let them drop. But now that i'm an adult, I realize no one throws wet laundry into a hole, and realize what I was probably actually dragging. I did see shoes in one bag once, I sure wish I'd looked closer back then. I enjoyed all those coins back then, but now have nightmares at the human remains I probably helped him dispose of... I wouldn't enter the Eastern hole if I was any of you o.O

"The sword is cursed!" What a fool. That's something you say for views. This is real man, raw entertainment hahah he's a meme.
By the look of it, the guys had pretty good chance of adding even more artefacts to the underground wonders, like a corpse in jeans with zippers on the knees with stupid mask and no caving equipment .
😂😂😂😂
What are artefacts?
These guys are so dumb not even carrying any ropes or equipment and no head gear.🙄

Sadly thousands upon thousands of cars just "disappear" every year, without any trace.

Cave explorers and they're wearing Jean's and sweaters.
You misspelled "hipsters with camera's". Cave explorers are more experienced and prepared, please don't mix these two up.
But they got zippers on their jeans so give them some credit..
It's the sword thing that got me!
Is there caving pants?
Thousand of thousand of cars? Im glad to know im not the only one who didnt pass the math exam.
40 or 50 perhaps and a few old washing machines, i'd say dumped by someone who was paid to take them away when scrap metal prices were terrible !

Reminds me of the original "JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH" (1959)...That water was probably filled with auto fluids that drained out? I shared this video to my Newsfeed...
DANPETRYSSHOWCASE agreed!
You can look it up. The cars were dumped for a reason. States online that the council once used that cave for a dumping ground for cars, refrigerators, old tv's, and other household items.
syndel sackett I also found this on google!
Lol...that's not a reason
Oh wow no wonder the water is so dangerous. All the hazardous materials.

Mo Campbell my guy it was a bel air and a impala
The car the guy is stood on and slips in the boot at ua-cam.com/video/IdvcJ1yXtLU/v-deo.html in the video is a Ford Capri MK1 or possibly MK2
@Rick Miller I read somewhere that the county or whatever that this is in used this strictly for cars involved in road accidents. So yes it's all junk.
@@mstewart3711 the underwater Saab looks pretty intact.. but we see only this side of it..
I'm impressed Even if you have no idea I bought it
"No one knows how they got there" .. In Wales That's called the local dump..😂😂
He really said that an earthquake could've happened even though he's in Wales 🤦♀️
You can see the sky up over the pile of cars. Not hard to figure out how they got down there.
@Eryn Jones a earthquake can happen literally anywhere so maybe a earthquake happened there idk I didn’t do the research.
A new article said that the locals use this to discard their appliances and cars, etc. Its not a mystery at all if u live in that area
The dump lol
What if each vehicle belongs to a victim of a serial killer , and this place is his trophy room.

@grant's lawn calm down

Wow it makes me realize that maybe you know that because you are the serial killer LOL
In the USA the cars arenin rivers and lakes. Lots of insurance fraud and an occasional missing person with their missing car.. Watch Adventure With Purpose!
My heart is pounding when you're going down. Now I will go and search more about this place. Wish me luck. Love you josh!

I reckon a gang on teenages in the late 70s 80s where stealing cars and dumping them though the whole at top lol
matt clark they don't look like stolen vehicles that were taken for a joy ride... they are stripped down... possibly from a illegal chop-shop where parts were sold off and these are the remains that were dumped or as someone else has suggested legal business with nowhere else to get rid of the unwanted parts.
You're making a difference

Exploring with Fighters how old was the sword?
Exploring with Fighters were you there too?
I saw him in the first 35 seconds of the video and through out the whole thing
Hi Dan
Did you guys ever find out the history of the sword before you put it back?
(maybe you thought that the radon would affect you? but you'd have to live underground to be affected by this...)
you might have done this BUT! it would have been cool if you mentioned that you set an arranged callout with a friend to phone cave rescue if anything happened to you guys to set a good example.
Ok boomer
Run the vin numbers or license plates and that will tell you everything.
Dgh tgg Great idea,I wonder if any of the Cars down Their belonged to people who seem to have vanished...
Lord Bacon Butties probably none, this place was just used as a dumping ground for residents nearby to put garbage after the mine closed, this isnt really a phenomenon
Lord Bacon butt cheeks
I can read the plate "AVH 717K" which is from 1971-72, but there's no information about the plate on the database because it's not been on the road since prior to 1983.

A mob? In Wales 🤣🤣the local council put them there
bigpiffs lol still, look for remains in the trunks!

My question is why would you dump a car with license plates still on it? Im not buying the mine theory
This is why I follow. I am deathly afraid of heights. These videos are awesome. Glad people like you show us these places.
I'm dying to know the story behind that sword! Did the other explorer find it down there and is now returning it because of bad luck?

Every cave explorer every cave-this is the most dangerous cave I’ve ever explored...
These aren't cave explorers.
And people wonder why I carry 200' of climbing rope when I go caving. Neat place even without the cars.
And here you can see a person that thinks ahead.
Would be a neater place without the cars!
Yeah, I didn't get why they didn't have climbing gear

You found my grandma's car! I knew I parked it somewhere around there!
This video had me on edge the whole time! I loved it so much. Your videos always make me want to do some urban exploring.
Go back to school and learn more.
Dont forget lifevest if you drop on toxic water at least you stay on the top side of water and not make you gulp shit
they haven’t even reached the bottom of the cave and i was already screaming hOW ARE THEY GONNA GET BACK UP
Haha

Same here! XD
Take the stairs right around the corner!
NOBODY KNOWS HOW THEY GOT THERE!! lol Literally the first Google link tells you
how
@kim it was used as a dumping grounds for a local town. @John Delk it adds to the "mystery".
The water is probably toxic because it’s filled with toxic coolant leaking from the rusted cars.
The GrassSalamander that’s what I thought. Could even be metals such as copper corroding and giving it that bluish green tint.
why not just get one of the license plates find the person who once owned the car and hear his story on how it went missing.
RGC Vinyl like it's just that easy man
No need, everyone who knows anything about this place knows these cars belonged to 1 man, the land owner, and there isn't even 100, far from 1000.

2 pence to drag bags of wet laundry over to another hidden hole just to the

throws wet laundry into a hole, and realize what I was probably actually
dragging. I did see shoes in one bag once, I sure wish I'd looked closer back
