Hello Enwild.
Have i understood it right, that there is a clear difference between feathers and down?
Both in production, use and in its functional properties?
The down is the insulating part on a animal while the feather are the protecting layer, among other functions.
Down = Insulation = Mid layer
Feather = Protection = Shell layer
There are down and there are feathers but there is no such thing as downfeathers?
That must also be why manufactures tells you the down/feather percentage?
