Your song is beautiful and made me cry. I'm 66 years old and my son, my only child, has not spoken to me in years and I don't even know why. He's 46. I went to his wedding, spent lots of money (for me, not rich at all) and all was well until one day, when I was tested for cancer, he told me he didn't want to speak to me anymore. I was a single mom, pregnant at 19, and his father was a jerk, never around. Anyway, my heart is broken, but I pick myself up every day thinking of him. my daughters father was a musician and wrote several songs for her which meant a lot before, but after he died, she has that to hang on to. she's 46 now with 4 girls of her own and they grew up listening to the CD of the grandpa they never knew.
