The Fat Boy didn't get enough playtime for me to list it but that paddle is an awesome paddle that will probably work it's way into the top 10. I just didn't feel like I could list it with the limited time I have on it. Also, here is the video for the Pickleball Paddle Pairing episode 1 ua-cam.com/video/ZXHWijkxiAA/v-deo.html
Is the nova fx R2 easy to flick? I returned the j2k because it wasn’t. It was great on drives and had alot of pop, but I could not get a lot of topspin on my flicks like i did with the forza. I do want more power.
The lower SW makes it easy for me to flick the ball. My backhand flick is my most powerful shot due to my wrist movement and this paddle doesn't limit me. This definitely has more power than the Forza
Interesting top 10. My perspective is that your top 10’must have a lot of regional bias. I play in SoCal and most of these paddles are either very rare here or not seen at all. I would definitely say the places I play, the Ruby, Selkirk brand, and Joolas are huge. I’m playing with a Thrive Azul and many people I’ve loaned it to, love it.
Why haven’t you reviewed any paddles from Honolulu Pickleball Company? I’m very curious to see if any of their paddles would make the list and if so, how highly they would rank.
haven't played with many so ill give top 10 want-to-try paddles. current go-to is DbD with eye to sidegrade a bit more pop while retaining a plusher face, prefer elongated for extra reach but its hard to beat the lower swingweight and stability of a hybrid (10) shapeshifter (9/8) Mark1/x (7) J2H (6) J7k (5) Ronbus FX1 (4) New paddletek i don't know which one lol (3) Hudeff3 (2) J2k (1) Shogun. Don't let anyone tell you 'its the player not the paddle'- its always the paddle LOL.
Franklin's FS Tour series are severely underrated for the value you receive. Their 14mm Dynasty is easily a top 3 paddle. JW and Big H crush with these.
I liked this rundown a lot! I bought the Gruvin Muvin widebody and the Pulsar FX R2 and those are my 2 favorites. I just sold 4 other paddles that I liked, but I wanted to get my collection down to 2 or 3. Sold my Pro Line Energy, my Diadem Edge 18k, and my Vatic pro V7 prison which I liked them all but I needed to simplify. I may consider the Paddletek also. Thanks for the good reviews!
Great video. Just wondering your opinion on the Neonic Flow concerning shock transmission. Asking because I used it for a month and could feel the shock shooting up my arm on backhand blocks and punch volleys. Loved the paddle but had to quit using it. I did get a heavy one (8.4oz) from the first batch so not sure if that's related. My paddle progression over the past year from oldest to most recent: Ronbus R 1.16 (1 month), Vatic Pro Prism Flash 16mm (7 months), Spartus Ballista (1 month), Neonic Flow (1 month, developed tendonitis) and now the Mark Pure 14. (I'm surprised I prefer the 14mm over the 16mm.) Considering the J2K next but not sure.
Sooo, I had a friend tell me to remove my rubber band that was on my paddle grip and to tell him the difference. So imma ask you the same thing. Can you remove the rubber band from the grip and play with it? I'm curious if his theory is correct lol. He said it's the cause for some people's paddle vibrating in their hands.
Nice review Farmer, but I was surprised you left off the DOUBLE BLACK DIAMOND because it won the Best all around paddle and my favorite next to the Volair 2 😎
Glad to hear that! I wish they would have made a kevlar version of that paddle instead of the viva pro 3. The viva pro 3 is good but to heavy for me lol

What is the twist weight on the Fatboy?
Where can you get the FatBoy?? It seems like a legend or myth at this point.
@@lethanielsimpson641 I just got mine, it's great! I forgot how great a wide body can be.
@@EricShapiro-wx5ju where did you get it? I can't find it anywhere
@@lethanielsimpson641 I was able to get an early release as part of their ambassador program.
How is the comparison btw the Alw 12.7 and thr fx r2 in terms of the power, pop and sweet spot? Thanks
6:16 Orange edge guard you say? Consider it done, my friend. Batch 3 I’m gonna get it done. 😊
😂 I contemplated on leaving that part out since I recorded it before I heard about the orange edge guard versions but I decided to leave it lol
That sounds like it’s going to be a great looking paddle! Can’t wait to see it
There is no picture for your top No.1 paddle, could you please tell me what your top 1 is?
Oh sorry! The Ronbus R2 fx
Honolulu J2K is best paddle I've played with after playing with over 15 paddles in last 4 year.
Love my J2k.
It would really help if you show a picture alongside the name of the paddle as you are doing the count down
Ya I completely botched that. I'm sorry. You're right I should have definitely put up pictures

@@FarmerLankyPickleball you talking about the Nova FXR 2 right?
Thanks
What do you think of Professor phd paddle?
I've been using the Vactic Prism Flash 14MM LH, been loving it so far. After using thermoformed paddles, just needed to get back to basics.
I completely understand that! That's a good paddle to do it with.
What do you think about the Lotto Ultimo pro?
I haven't gotten to hit with it tbh. I've wanted to but it's a little pricey 😂
@@FarmerLankyPickleball ok thanks for the reply

I own 2 paddles on the list, the VP and Neonic Flow and my J2K tops them both. Love my J2K and it tops my list at #1 !
@@jss8494 Neonic Flow is a pure control & spin paddle that’s for a different player demographic than the J2K
Can u show a picture of these paddles please
Most of the paddles have pics with their part of the video. I think the Ronbus is the not one without photos unless I'm mistaken
Not the list I was expecting, but you explained why they fit you and your play style, which makes sense. Enjoyed this and the paring video.
I appreciate it thank you! Ya, I should probably rename this as something different. Like "My Top 10 Favorite Paddles"
Top 10 is tough, but my top 5 are Paddletek TKO-C 14.3, Chorus Shapeshifter, Hudef Viva Pro Gen3, Six Zero Ruby, and Honolulu J2K Pro.
I have played with all of them except the j2K and those are all good paddles.
@@FarmerLankyPickleball You said you didn't like the TKO-C 14.3. Why?
❓
Does the j2k or j3k compare to these paddles ? I’ve been hearing a lot of hype on them .
J2K or J2K Pro?
Ive got the pro, Perseus gen3, and a neonic force. The j2k pro is the best outta the 3 imo.
Had the same question 🙌🏾
J2K Pro slaps
The Spartus Apollo is my favorite. It has helped my kitchen game more than anything I've ever tried.

Thanks for your sharing. Very glad that Hudef Mage Pro is on your list. This is my main paddle.
Great video. Love it. Would the Fatboy be in the top 10 somewhere? Really interested in that paddle.
Ya it will definitely be in the top 10. Probably around 5 or 6 tbh. I can't wait to try the new Paddletek ESQ-C
I'll tell ya friend I have the FX R2 and I love it. The sweet spot is pretty solid and I get a really heavy amount of spin almost natively

ALW-C long handle, Koop’s paddle of choice! PIKKL Hurricane Pro, you have to do a standard/wide body playoff and throw the CRBN 2X in there!
Koop's current paddle is the Bantam ESQ-C
I'm getting the ESQ-C and the hurricane in the mail soon. I'd definitely like to do a widebody discussion once I play with them.
