@@sapphira3314 Gender and sex, historically were always the same thing. There is no need to differentiate, as males and females, frequently, have varying degrees of masculinity and femininity. That is, however, if you are using your gender to somehow connotate that you are special, unique, un-classifiable (non-binary), or non-comformist. Meaning.....we are so consumed with our self image that we scream it from the mountaintops to everyone else around it. Nobody cares. The question is, are you a good person, or a self infatuated narcissist?

There is no biological imperative to suggest that females naturally gravitate towards this color, but humans have formed un-biological connotations towards sex, that is gender. Masculinity and femininity are human-based constructs. In my belief, human gender confines us and restricts our freedom to express ourselves without prejudice. I believe that with time as a civilization, gender will be abolished. Non-conforming gender identities currently, in my opinion, are a protest against the rigid set of rules for our assigned genders and allow people to exist in any way without being forced into a box. You may think it's self-infatuation, but gender-specific pronouns are constantly being put into use. From your perspective, it's one interaction, but for them, it's constant, and most people will act like you and purposefully ignore it which is disrespectful. It's like using the wrong name for someone because you don't like it... Sounds like what a self-infatuated narcissist would do.

To suggest there is no biological imperative is rather naive, isn’t it, as you only represent a biological male or female? Don’t you find it the least bit peculiar that men and women are built drastically different? Their physiology is completely different and that physiology, whether you like it or not, does translate to male driven behavior. This includes sex drive, violence, aggressiveness, and perhaps even less emotional maturity. This is not just some anomaly that society got wrong. Good, bad, or indifferent, these innate behaviors have been driving society for centuries. So, no, our collective history, as humans, has reflected much pre-programmed behavior from men. Remind me of how many women started (and fought) wars? I’m not saying this is positive behavior by any means, but to suggest otherwise is intellectually dishonest. You’re basically ignoring the vast majority of human existence….meaning what you are claiming is utter nonsense. And yes, it absolutely reeks of narcissism and self infatuation. Why? Because we already know that men and women have varying degrees of masculinity and femininity. This doesn’t change the fact that the aforementioned male “innate” behaviors don’t exist in ample supply. They do.
The infatuation is referenced speaks to why you think others feel disrespected. Few people, have an issue with calling people the name they request. However, when you start merging biological sex with gender nonsense, you turn factual, biological fact into a dumpster fire. Plus, you raise the ante when you add fluidity into the mix. As if society needs to keep up with your ever changing definitions for yourself….or you will be offended. I find it hard to believe that there are many who believe this behavior is healthy. This is precisely why your belief of a gender-less, sex-less society will never happen. It’s crystal clear that when human were evolving and living through poverty, war, and the worst of conditions, gender identity wasn’t even a blip on the radar. It only comes up when people have way too much time on their hands and spend far too much time lost in caring about how they identify or how others perceive them. What’s worse is they want to force others to also adopt their distorted reality. So, I don’t dislike anything about the people you are referring to….you deliberately seem to make this claim to make it a personal argument vs. logical. That’s weak and petty. But that is a common tactic when you know something is false, your only recourse is to demonize and dehumanize the other side. Because, surely your opponent must be a bigoted monster who fears gender fluid people, right? With all due respect, there is more clarity on this issue than you would like to believe.
But your song lyrics stated “because I’m just a man”? So I’m confused. Was your life prior to this new Sam smith a lie or are you living the lie now to stay relevant in todays society of severely offended Gen Z’s?

Gender is more observed than assigned, no one said that because you’re male you necessarily have to be masculine and vice versa with women. I see it as a regression more than a progression that if a person isn’t viewed as masculine if they’re male or feminine if they are female then they are pressured to identify as something other than their gender.
