I remember seeing this video when you first uploaded it and i'm just now seeing it again after being in the market for a K5. I like the fact that the seat belts are built into the seats. Keep rocking the cool videos.🤘
love your blazer and videos. I appreciate you taking the time and making them. just got an 85 k5 all stock. but I have plans to make it better. thanks to you most of my questions are answered. thanks a lot merrick.
I appreciate you showing this . I just picked up all of the parts at home Depot for about 50 bucks . I am installing them In my 69 k5 which is a bit different but I think will work well . thanks again and don't stop making these rad videos Heath
Merricks Garage Brackets ordered! I have the exact same concern, need safe seats to haul the 5 kids around, wife says they need headsets, etc so putting in the third row will be the start. Maybe replace other seats after too if it makes sense, but factory are ok for now in the front. I also saw some people say gmt900 seats are too tall for the font, so we will see. Anyway I’m looking on Craigslist and eBay now for good deals for the third row seats! :)
I just bought an ‘88 K5 and am looking to do the same thing for my rear passengers; however, I want to know if I could use the ‘07-‘14 Tahoe FRONT driver & passenger seats to replace the worn factory originals? And if so, what modifications do I need to make? Thnx!
New subscriber here bro excellent vid, I recently picked up a 73 blazer and a buddy of mine has some 05 escalade seats he's giving me, I'm not sure if there like yours but damn sure hope so they look dope af in there 👍🏿
How are the brackets attached to the floor? Is it a screw or bolt (secured underneath)? I want to do this, but this is the question I have before I commit. (See 4:38 in the video)
Where's the build sheet for this I'm picking up 05 split folding seats today for 20$ out of a yukon today perfect condition and would like to swap em in
Do you still have a link to download the plans or anyone still have or can share the plans clicked on the link you had to download them but it is not there anymore? Thank you
Just wanted to say thank you for posting the mounting bracket plans you designed for the back seat retrofit. With any luck I'll find a deal on a 3rd row seat for my 1974 K5. Any advice on front seats - maybe ones with heaters?
Like your set up and love that you have done the fab work yourself. Just curious though..... What kind of gas mileage do you get out of your k30 and how large of a gas tank does it have?
love it, thank you for sharing this infoi have an 88 that i think is going to make a super upgrade, just one question, what did you used for the fron seats?
Cool, I'm looking to get back into a blazer but I want to do the swap. I found a place that will put in a 6.0 vortex for me for about $3200 installed. This guy wants to trade me for my 01 Tahoe for his blazer so I might do it. His blazer is pretty clean inside and motor area. kinda sucks to take out the motor but will just sell that motor to pay for the new 1.

You should use etching primer as soon your done welding something so your parts wont have time to rust.

The brackets use the factory bolt holes in the front and the rear uses u bolts around the factory rear mount. Everything bolts in
