Hi Grill Sargeant. I'm so glad you did this cook for 2 reasons. First-sear n smoke Ribeyes can't beat that. Good eats. Second glad to see YT BBQ guru cook with a portable pellet. My first pellet grill was a country Smokers Traveler (which is also a Danson company). Those Danson tabletops ( pit boss and Country Smokers) are really affordable pellet smokers and fits in my basement of the rv. Great job always play catch with the grilling help dog!

Yum! I haven’t seen just the cap for sale here. I’ve got a brisket going on my Oklahoma joe in a measly 29 degrees in PA.

Just used mine today and it performed well on some pork belly burnt ends. Only issue was the pellets caught fire half way up the auger tube and wqs shooting flames from it and not in the pot. Dont think I trust this thing.

Don't just turn it off when it's cranked up to 500. Shut it down gradually. I had a fire in my pellet hopper when I just shut it off.

From some of the reviews, I thought it wouldn’t hold up very well on the first try ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxTAV04Wwc8vZvciP7ycqR1S4raCS0TnUc Not only did it hold up well for us, we BBQ’d well into the late night! So well, we could’ve done s’mores and even more. Put together was about 9 min. Will need a screwdriver No parts missing on my order which was a relief! Size big enough for four/five med. size steaks. Size of product is as described in the pics(table top). It was a great extra side addition to our other grills. The price was great as well for our bbq mission.

Hey Dillon, Yes. These smokers use real wood (pellets) as fuel and burn in the burn pot.

I purchased this unit a few months ago and used it about five times cleaning it out after each use. I just used it to cook a pork butt and after about eight hour it over heated and damaged itself. Pit Boss will not stand behind their product to replace it. The customer service agent refused to transfer me to a supervisor. This is a terrible company with terrible customer service. This is not a safe grill.

I am a little surprised at the method ... Usually you sear the meat first , and then cook until desired doneness IMHO ...
Now ... You get one strike for putting the seared steaks back on the same tray in the juice/blood ...
and strike 2 for eating with your fingers !
    It's something I would never do , but that's OK .....
    DIS Missed !! lol !!
