I don't really grill but this was easy to carry and bring with me camping as a backup in case ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxTAV04Wwc8vZvciP7ycqR1S4raCS0TnUc I couldn't get a fire going. In my opinion it is better to bring a charcoal grill instead of a gas grill as a backup because if it rains or the leaves around are still damp from a recent rain; you can use the charcoal to help your fire keep going even though a gas grill is easier to temp control with. Overall, pleased with my purchase.
If you want, my wife will come and straighten out the neighbors with the power tools. They’ll be wearing them before it’s all over. Good looking steak.
Wow thanks man! Great video. I submitted my order through the indiegogo link. Have been using a $50 Brinkman POS smoker for the past five years… which works, but is temperamental and random in regard to temperature control. Hoping this Asmoke Traveler will up my game and give me some street cred.

From my viewing of the smoker, it appears to be almost, if not completely, identical in design to the ASMOKE. The Country Smokers version is called The Traveler. Any association between ASMOKE and Country Smokers?
Note based on info from the manufacturer: If taking this on the road, you really need full AC power, not inverted car juice. The hot rods take 300w until the fire starts.
I'm sure it would require 1000 watts of power, so if you hooked it directly to a DC inverter from a car, it would not be able to heat the igniter rod. However if you hooked it up to 3 35 amp hour sealed lead acid batteries through a 1000 watt inverter it would work, and last you several days of cooks.

Pit boss makes the same model. Exactly the same! I think it cost a little more
Like always great video and review
Nice vid greg. Wish it was 12v capable though. Do you have any thoughts on the masterbuilt 560 gravity? Thinkin about buying one
great cook, i may need this!!
I just ordered one!
2nd bummer is you have to open it to add pallets :( other than that 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I wonder what's the height of the actual bbq area when close - bbq grill up to the roof of the cover...
Spend the extra and get the Traeger Ranger ... you won't regret it
The grill looks like it's made by the makers of pit boss ??
how hot does the outer shell of the BBQ get? I see a lot in videos where people are constantly touching the surface. Id like to be able to use on a plastic folding table without risk of melting table or worse when camping. also would be nice to be able to store away back in camper asap when done with use.
