The problem is, the whole EV thing is a bad joke. Most people are going to charge the thing via their home electric, which is almost always produced by diesel generators, which do not have to comply with the same regulations as a diesel vehicle and usually is far less efficient. So having an EV is challenging NOTHING!
Solar on your roof. And most utilities are burning natural gas for electric now. Get yer facts right. One house with solar offsets 2 EVs driving 100 miles a day. There are 82 millions single family homes in the USA right now. I have other videos about THIS, just click on my home page.
How many years does it take to pay off a $30-40k solar system? How long are they good for before the panels need to be replaced?
You can’t just ignore those two costs to save a $100 bucks a month on gas dude.
My rooftop solar was $18,000 after the tax credit. The saving on gas and my electric bill combined was $450 a MONTH. $18,000 divided by $450 = 40 MONTHS.
Typical solar panels sold TODAY will be at 90% production (guaranteed) in 25 years.
