He's incredibly versatile actor with many dramatic roles behind his belt. And yet first thing that i remember when i see him or hear his name is "- Ya're all pilots? - Well.. We're workin' on it. It's a lot o' switches and stuff...". I just can't look at General Zod without giggling "Pride of the Pacific".
This guy is one of the greatest actors of our era. He’d rather watch the oscars from a local bar with subtitles on. Tells you a lot about the character of this man.
I just met him like 2 months ago. Super cool guy. I didn’t even notice him until he started talking to me and then I was just like “oh sh*t you’re Michael Shannon!”

I agree. He was stunning in the first movie I saw him in (Revolutionary Road) playing the neighbours' disturbed but brilliant son who's "been away". I started watching for his roles then and he continues to amaze me. Glad he's getting wider recognition now.

I did not know that he what seems to be a very kind and humble and really funny guy. I loved him in "Midnight Special" and "Shape of Water" and also as General Zod.

Never saw him chuckle in a movie much. His characters (such as in Kangaroo Jack, Man of Steel and The Shape of Water) are so serious. And somehow, terrifying. But still, he is awesome.
