Aussies are great! Super smart, personable and beautifully unique. Ours is my best bud. Just one of the boys, goes everywhere, silent in cars. Just magic gems. Yours are all beautiful. Ours is a black tri as well but mostly black and tan. I had to laugh at Orion on the bed. Ours has a beautiful tail too, is so happy and a kisser.
We have 2 minis as well. I love to see the tail on the last one! Everyone needs a tail! Mine are just wigglebutts. So very cute. Absolutely fell in love with these guys. Hadn’t had a dog in 25 years and they give so much love and comfort. They both sleep with us and never had a dog ever sleep with me before at 60 years old! They don’t smell! Wonderful pets!
I agree...absolutely love this breed. We were able to ask the breeder to keep the tail on Mr, Orion. Our first 3 we didn't have an option, but love all them equally 😂 Thank you for watching and the support 😊❤️ Sending hugs to your little ones 😉
Beautiful dogs . My 1 year old mini tri color male ( very small around 15lbs) has all those personalities lol total ball of energy i could never have imagined 4 of him at once in the house he hardcore plays with a 7 year old medium sized mutt about 45lbs 24/7 chasing him nipping at his ankles. He’s a talker too always making a sound or full out barking talking to people . And he is by far the most jealous dog I’ve ever owned doesn’t matter what animal is getting attention. He likes all dogs, cats, horses, cows etc
The energy level is not as horrible as you would think. (Youngest is now 4 and oldest 6) They do play with each inside and get minimal outdoors time during the super hot florida time. We have accustom them to a more slower life style but we do love hiking a lot when we do our rv trips and can handle 5 plus miles easily. Lots of mental activities at home and cuddles ❤️❤️❤️
I have three Aussies a phantom Merle or ghost Merle diesel he is about 70 ibs He’s a big boy. He is so loving it’s ridiculous. I also have a blue Merle Alara with true blue eyes. She is my bossy smallest of the crew but she rules because she’s the girl. I also have a red Merle axle he has a redheaded personality as I can see that because my children have red hair he is high strong and a wild boy. He wants to ride on the side-by-side the four wheelers and Harley Davidson he’s my crazy boy personalities. Your babies are beautiful enjoy them as much as I enjoy mine. Once an Aussie Mommy I’ll never be another dog mummy.❤
Loss of a pet is horrible to go through, sorry. 4 Aussies not much different then 2 ❤️ One of the reasons I created UA-cam account for them is to be able to always look back at the memories we made 😊 Thank you for watching ❤️
I have two Aussies Apple and Cider . (Females). Apple has the full protection / hearding personality. She follows me everywhere, at Night when we do crate time they all go to patio door to go out do their business, but Apple has to go thru the whole yard and fence to make sure there is nothing and then she runs up the stairs goes to one of the bedroom window and looks out to make sure there nothing and then she goes to her crate. Cider is the alpha female she is the premadona of the two. She loves being petted and hugged, when people pull out cameras to take pictures of her she litterally poses for them. Apple likes people but will not really let people pet her. Cider will sit down and let all kids pet her and Apple will stand gaurd to see no one will come and pose a danger. They are both very jealous with my wife and I. If other dogs come to us at the dog park they will come in and push them away. One time a giant dog jumped on my wife and they both came in and knocked down the other dog and circled him and moved him away from her. They do have simularities, but the for the most part they are very different. I did meet someone who had a puppy but had to return it because they lived in an appartment and didn't know how much work they were or time they needed to be with them. If I had to say this to anyone looking to get an Aussie is that you really need to be able to spend a lot of time with them, not just exersising them physically but really mentally working with them. I have never been able to physically wear them out, it is thru mental games (like hide and seek) , obsticals, food puzzle games are what really has helped me get them to bed. Also indoor swimming wears them out. they love the water. Cider loves frisbe but Apple just loves to get the frisbe so she can be chased.
So with different aussies brings different experiences? Mine recently passed and I feel guilty when people say I can get another dog but realistically I'll eventually get one. He was so awesome its hard to imagine not getting another aussie but I don't want to feel like im replacing him.
Ava is exactly like our Nova she's a mini blue merle with the same characteristic traits. Very stand offish if she doesn't know you but once she warms up to you, you better smother her with love. She's the more affectionate of our two as well.
So cool! Wish there was a way people could share pictures on YT comments so I could see your Luna Margaret :) Thanks for watching. Wigglebutts send their love to you and your Luna Margaret
I have a 3 year old red tri female, she has a docked tail, she is very loving, she is very active, but she can just chill out on the couch. She's velcro to me. She loves just about everything and everyone, she's from working stock, and is very focused. She a licker, she will licker and gently nibble my hands/ fingers when I have had a bad day, I have a 6 mouth old red merle male, he is a (NBT) naturally bobbed tail, a little lover boy, very loving and the happiest thing that I have ever seen! He's not as focused and comes from the show side. He was a runt, so I got a deal on him. I saw potential in him, and he has disappointed! Very smart and athletic. He loves everything and everyone even more than my female. But can be a little standofffish sometimes though. Both are fed raw/a homemade cooked diet. They have the most beautiful coats, white teeth, don't stink, no stinky breath, and are very healthy, and extremely active! Plus they shed less than other aussies that I have had that was fed kibble. Oh, sure, there is still aussie Glitter. But would you want to Get rid of all of it? LoL.... My two current are number 6 and 7 aussies that I have been blessed to live with, to share my life with. Around 3 or 4 years old they will chill out a little, but will still be active their whole lives. I'm on number 6 and 7 now, one 3 years old, the other 6 months old. All of mine have been very active until the day they died.
Sagan was a licker his whole life, and he was always so happy...like Orion...I thought he was the funniest one since he was laying on his back at the beginning.... you just see the front paws in the air...
I rescued an Australian shepherd. he is waaaay more chill then I expected but then again he was half way to skeletal when I got him almost 2 months ago. his owner died and they didn't know how long he went without care. I kept on wandering if he was pure or not because he has a medium coat and isn't as energetic, but I really don't see any signs of other breeds in him.
So happy your Aussie found a loving home. Ava's coat is much shorter than the others and I've heard stories of really calm/relaxed Aussies. Luna is probably the calmest of the 4 nowadays. Thank you for watching.
As my daughter says, “he’ll Work with you all day but he won’t go have a beer with you after.” My full size male has a pause button. You command he decides, unless he’s working then he’s all business. It’s crazy.
We just introduced a new 1 year old toy Aussie to our mini and they are struggling to learn their place. Not only dominance but jealousy. They are both boys so there’s that but then the size difference. I think it’s the 5 year old having the hardest time because he doesn’t get me to himself. What are some things that help with this?
First thank you for stopping by and watching and congrats on your new baby. 😀 I have 2 girls and 2 boys, my boys have never been the jealous type but my girls yes. When ever the growling starts I correct and stop giving attention and ignore both. Maybe to help this try taking them out together outside their comfort zone (house) and do group training to help them learn they are a team. This will help you burn some mental and physical energy for them and help with the home environment. And you never know maybe they are just learning whom is the dominant one now of the pack. I'm definitely no expert but wish you the best of luck ❤ Just remember you are number 1 in the pack.
The fur is a constant battle and if you go 2 days with out vacuuming you will have some tumble furs. So if you find something that will make your daily routine easier then I say go with it. 😀
