Yes bro. This works mostly on Zooms (cdr70, ms50g, g1xon, g1x four). Im collating videos here in yt about the compatible devices, becoz theres no official list on the manual.. For pedals with 5-pin midi ports, this will work 100%. But for pedals with USB Port, we have to check them yet first. Thanks for watching! Thanks a lot for your information. I got my controller today and am kind of ambiguous about it. I wished the advanced custom mode would be more flexible, for example to have the options momentary or latching in all modes. Or to use the foot pin in a twofold way, short step and long step would send two different commands.
Welcome. Yes, what you mentioned could only function in advanced custom mode.. For the Program Change A and B, we can only toggle presets and change groups/banks

So on my NUX MG300 it has micro USB... I would be able to have preset 1a 1b 1c 1d with, for instance: base sound on a, base sound with distortion on b, base sound with distortion and over drive on c, a clean sound on d, (just like I can on my unit already) but I use only my up-down 2 switches on my unit to go to 1-9 and then this pedal will allow me to directly go to any of the presets- a,b,c, or d and not use my unit pedal switch 3 times to go from 1a to 1d. And then on top of that if I wanted I can press the switch a second time, say c: base sound with distortion and over drive and phaser that is from, say 7c (that I already made a preset the same as 1c but with something a little different? Is what I am saying correct???

Thanks for watching. For controlling the effects inside the preset itself, its more on CC messages (control change messages). For that, we need the right midi codes for it to work. There is also a midi message called the SySex or system exclusive, those are codes for a specific function. I didnt connect an expression pedal in this video.

Hello, and thanks VERY much for your tutorials. However I got a problem (probably after updating the firmware on MS-1, but I'm not sure). So I have MS-1, Chocolate and MS-50G. I've followed the tutorial with Advanced mode settings for the Chocolate and it instantly worked, there was no problems (Note - I powered MS-1 by plugging in to the power bank, then connected it to MS-50g with a USB cord and thus the MS-50g was also powered from the same USB port of the power band, there were no external power supplies and still it worked and I could switch presets). Then I've decided to update the firmware MS-1 and to switch to Program Change A mode for the Chocolate and since that moment I'm not able to make the whole system work for ANY mode ( Program Change A, Program Change B, Advanced mode - none of them work.) I've tried to power MS-50g with a separate power supply, MS-1 was powered by the power bank (not sure which mode should I use OTG or HOST), but still it doesn't work. I thought that MS-1 could be dead after upgrading, connected it to the PC and launched Cube Suit for Windows - it only shows Firmware upgrade line , no MS-1 logo or anything - is the same for you? Do you have .dat firmware files that could be used in Cube Suite for MS-1, probably some old firmwares? Then I checked MS-1 in the DAW - it works, sends and receives MIDI commands. However I can't use it with the Zoom MS-50g at all. Could you please help me somehow? Thanks in advance for your work
Awts too Bad. You can try the OTA Upgrade again using a different cellphone.. I have 2 cellphones, the Cube Suite does not work on the older one, but it works on the newer CP. Thanks.

Yes, its the same with the MS50G. I have a separate video for the How To Connections. Yes, you are right. You need to turn off the Cellphone's bluetooth, so that the M-Vave Chocolate and MS1 Receiver will successfully pair to each other. If there are many active bluetooth device, the chocolate and Ms1 might NOT connect. Thanks

I have the ms70cdr zoom and the ms50g zoom. Can I control them with two chocolate mvave at once? Each pedal with its controller separately. Do the signs intersect? or what will happen?
That will work. As long as the cdr70 and ms50g has their own M-Vave Chocolate and MS-1 Receiver. . I think the only problem with 2 Mvave chocolate is inadvertent/wrong device connection.. You just need to turn them on one at a time. Ex. You need to turn on the 1 mvave chocolate that is intended for cdr70.. Then, once they're connected, thats the time youll turn on the mvave setup for ms50g.. We need to avoid a wrong device connection.. Hope this helps.
What do you mean by two different Cellphones? If its regarding the Cube Suite App configuration, you can use one CP.. But if your going to configure the M-Vave Chocolate and MS-1 in Cube Suite app. You need to do in one at a time only, since its a bluetooth connection. It requires one bluetooth device at a time..thnks

on my zoom G1x four i have no choice to use only program A and sadly the 4 banks did't work well when it comes to the third Bank which is footswith C in footswitch C the first and second preset works when switching to the 3rd preset it fails..so on with The 4th Bank which is footswitch D on the other hand i saw some reviews using Advance Custom Mode they can switch up to 4 banks and each banks has 4 presets each..sadly i dont know how to set up my stuff like that can you help us how they do that ? because as far as i know in advance custome mode you cant switch to 4 banks..u can do it only in program A B and C ?? right?? please response to my comment..i would like to know that set up please 🙏
Great video!! If program Change A scrolls up to 32 presets, 8 groups with 4 presets each, how can you access all 8 groups with only 4 buttons? For example, access group 1 setup, but then how can you get to groups 2, 3 etc.?

What youre asking is CC (Control Change). It works for midi controllers. BUT, you need to identify the CC Values and CC No. Of the slave device for it to work.. I actually tried researching if the Zoom CDR70 has CC codes. But I cant find anythinh in the net. We must also check if the slave device supports the function that you are looking for.. Example. I have a line 6 M5. Its CC Codes are for, On/Off Tap Tempo Tuner Mode..
There's someone in our fb group shared that it cant control the ms-100bt. I believe that the Ms-1 Receiver is still needed for the whole setup to work.

The cdr70 works on MS-1 Midi B. While the M5 works on Midi A. The bluetooth is exclusive to one device only. It will not work. but I will try if the 6.35mm will work together with the Midi B connected

Ahm ganun na talaga sa Advanced custom mode. Hindi ka makakapag switch ng banks. Presets lang yung mare recall nung 4 switches. Kaya sya advance custom mode. Yung may bank changing ay Program A

Yes Man. Its just the same. The Bluetooth receiver works great if you have a USB Slave Device.. If your slave device has 5pin midi port, I suggest to use the MIDI-A (wireless 5pin). Or the 1/4 inch TRS to 5pin Jack. I have separate video for these. You may also want to check them. I used them on my Line 6 M5.
If midi supported si Whammy dt, most like pede ito Sir. Same lang naman ito sa mga other midi controllers. So happened lang na wireless itong mvave chocolate.
Anyone else having issues with this unit losing the connection with your iPad? I thought at first this was a great little controller (4 midi-assignable foot switches), but I've had continuing issues with the unit losing connectivity with my iPad. Sometimes it's after 10 minutes, sometimes after 60, but this consistently happens. I'm using an 2021 iPad Pro, running IOS 15.4.1. The unit is about 3 feet from my iPad. I've put the pedal aside and will not be using it again unless I can identify a solution to the problem.
Sorry for the late reply. I havent have any problem with the connection eversince. Have you tried to OTA Update your unit? I updated mine, and theres no problem at all.
I don’t have this footswitch, but I have one of their bluetooth midi keyboards (labeled as asmuse). I had connection troubles on my mac the second day I had it after using it successfully on my ipad. Then it was disconnecting from ipad as well. I tried shutting off bluetooth on my mac or ioad when I was using the other one and haven’t had any issues since then. It appears that it was trying to connect to both devices and therefore disconnecting from both very shortly after being connected. Maybe you are having an issue with the same root cause?
So this device cant do turn on/off effects in every preset. Let say, preset 1 : chorus - delay - reverb . So i want to scroll left to turn delay on / off ? Its not possible with this cuvave ?
Its not possible as of the moment.. What you're saying is a CC or Control Change. Its a custom control for a specific parameter like, on/off, tap tempo or tuner.. The M-Vave Chocolate is PC (Program/Preset Change) and CC Supported. But for us to use the CC, we must first identify the CC Values and CC Number of the slave device (Zoom CDR70). Unfortunately, I cant find any info on this for the Zoom Cdr70. Thanks.
Im also looking for that function. I cant find any material on the internet.. Unlike my Line 6 M5. It has a provided midi map in its manual. I use my midi controller to turn on and off the presets of M5. Same with the Tuner and Tap Tempo. But for the zoom, its has no midi mapping in the manual.

I believe its on the CC Protocol (Control Change). But for us to do that, we must know what CC Values the zoom will respond. I dont know the cc values yet.

What youre asking is CC (Control Change). It works for midi controllers. BUT, you need to identify the CC Values and CC No. Of the slave device for it to work..
I actually tried researching if the Zoom CDR70 has CC codes. But I cant find anythinh in the net.
We must also check if the slave device supports the function that you are looking for..
Example. I have a line 6 M5.
Its CC Codes are for,
On/Off
Tap Tempo
Tuner Mode..

I have the Zoom MS-100bt which is controlled exclusively via Bluetooth ...can this BT controller pair with my BT slave?
There's someone in our fb group shared that it cant control the ms-100bt.
I believe that the Ms-1 Receiver is still needed for the whole setup to work.

The cdr70 works on MS-1 Midi B.
While the M5 works on Midi A.
The bluetooth is exclusive to one device only. It will not work.
but I will try if the 6.35mm will work together with the Midi B connected

Ahm ganun na talaga sa Advanced custom mode. Hindi ka makakapag switch ng banks.
Presets lang yung mare recall nung 4 switches. Kaya sya advance custom mode.

But, if its midi supported. It will work with m-vave chocolate or any other midi controller out there.

Yes Man. Its just the same. The Bluetooth receiver works great if you have a USB Slave Device..
If your slave device has 5pin midi port, I suggest to use the MIDI-A (wireless 5pin). Or the 1/4 inch TRS to 5pin Jack. I have separate video for these. You may also want to check them. I used them on my Line 6 M5.

Its not possible as of the moment. Its the CC protocol, but I dont know the CC Value of the tap tempo of the zoom. Im still researching CCs.
Anyone else having issues with this unit losing the connection with your iPad? I thought at first this was a great little controller (4 midi-assignable foot switches), but I've had continuing issues with the unit losing connectivity with my iPad. Sometimes it's after 10 minutes, sometimes after 60, but this consistently happens. I'm using an 2021 iPad Pro, running IOS 15.4.1. The unit is about 3 feet from my iPad. I've put the pedal aside and will not be using it again unless I can identify a solution to the problem.
Sorry for the late reply. I havent have any problem with the connection eversince. Have you tried to OTA Update your unit? I updated mine, and theres no problem at all.
I don’t have this footswitch, but I have one of their bluetooth midi keyboards (labeled as asmuse). I had connection troubles on my mac the second day I had it after using it successfully on my ipad. Then it was disconnecting from ipad as well. I tried shutting off bluetooth on my mac or ioad when I was using the other one and haven’t had any issues since then. It appears that it was trying to connect to both devices and therefore disconnecting from both very shortly after being connected.
Maybe you are having an issue with the same root cause?
So this device cant do turn on/off effects in every preset. Let say, preset 1 : chorus - delay - reverb . So i want to scroll left to turn delay on / off ? Its not possible with this cuvave ?
Its not possible as of the moment.. What you're saying is a CC or Control Change. Its a custom control for a specific parameter like, on/off, tap tempo or tuner.. The M-Vave Chocolate is PC (Program/Preset Change) and CC Supported.
But for us to use the CC, we must first identify the CC Values and CC Number of the slave device (Zoom CDR70).
Unfortunately, I cant find any info on this for the Zoom Cdr70.

Unlike my Line 6 M5. It has a provided midi map in its manual. I use my midi controller to turn on and off the presets of M5. Same with the Tuner and Tap Tempo.
But for the zoom, its has no midi mapping in the manual.

Reco ko na high quality cables talaga. Lahat ng cables ko is Ugreen or Vention lang. Para walang hassle sa recording. 100+ lang naman
