I love how there were like a 100 people at the party yet nobody thought to jump the killer
Horror movie logic..
If that happened it wouldn't be a movie 🤣😂
Killer gets beat up by a crowd...........goodnight
Drunk and high kids at party and a killer with a knife? Makes sense they'd freak out.
(Also there wouldn't be a movie lol)
@@Affluent-Ghetto-Blackman Real live logic, mate. There have been moments where a guy with a knife was in a crowd and people run away, too afraid to get hurt.
China, London, Tokyo, ... Those are a few places where a man with a knife was in a crowd and started attacking people. People didn't fight the attacker, they ran away.
That is real life. I'm glad that you never been in a situation like this, but you would be surprised where our mind goes when confronted with danger. It's all about self preservation, not logical thinking. Also great that +160 people have never been confronted with such violence. Good for all of you.
Moral to every teenage slasher movie: if you're a liar, you will be stalked and murdered. And by the way, how many secrets do 16 year olds really have anyway? They've been alive for only a minute.
man you must not remember being a teen cause all teenages have secrets especially in the digital age
teenagers are VERY dramatic. everything is the end of the world for them.
@@ronanmcgurn8062 why "especially"?
Kyle cheated on Kylie with her bff Ashley, nothing new.
@@ronanmcgurn8062 teenagers always had secrets. In the digital age it’s more easier to expose. Back in the day teens who got pregnant just left their babies in front of the church and no one would know who’s child it is as an example. People could be masked killers before and the victims would be lucky if the killer was apprehended but it’s much harder today.
This just looks like a nice cozy slasher for the Halloween season. I love it.
It’s based off the book!
Indeed.

@@thebossrayden Malignant had so many slasher scenes in it. I know it wasn’t the regular ‘serial-killer’ kind of thing, but you can’t deny it being a slasher film.

@@thebossrayden It Follows is so garbage.

There's a comedic element to this that is undeniably satire-ish.
satirical*?
It’s a slasher
another nonsense teenage garbz for undeveloped brains 😂
Having watched the movie, there's nothing satire-ish about it at all. Just a standard slasher movie that falls flat by the third act.

Yo, that last jump scare got me good. Didn’t expect the killer to jump through the back of confession booth!
Yeah, we will all be very surprised, when that happens in the movie...
Omg I was reading this comment when that part happened 😩😩😩
Ruined it for me bro.
Smh really
I read this, still jumped 😂
The first time I seen Sydney Park is when she was a little girl and played Tootsie Roll in the movie Spork. Such an unforgettable movie 🤣
To everyone looking at the comments wondering if you should watch this movie, honestly it's a movie where you have to decide for yourself. The movie isn't as bad as a lot of the comments are trying to make it seem HOWEVER it definitely could've been better. I feel like they TRIED but eventually got lazy because certain things in the movie don't make sense and certain characters literally get no screentime and have no legitimate reason to even exist (even though I liked the main characters). I think it would've been better as a mini series instead of a movie so certain things can be better explained. I plan on reading the book though. I heard it's actually different/better but the books usually always are so.
Thanks, this was helpful. I think I'll check it out.
👍
Thank you.. lol
IT IS HER! SYDNEY PARK! korean black goddess! from comedy queen to ACTOR! watching it!
She's great in the walking dead, probably best show i seen
Netflix you need to make this trailer public ASAP.

The song is called "I Don't Want to Die" by Kim Petras. If anyone was wondering.
So glad to see Sydney out her in main roles. She is so talented and I am very excited to see what's going down. Love me a good slasher flick!
I was like "I know her from somewhere..." Lifeline. From Corridor. Didn't know she had acted so much since then. Nice to see her again, and rising too.
@@MrAnothis she is from The Walking Dead
This felt more of a coming of age teen romance drama than a thriller
The sequel of this book showed up for me when I was searching anticipated new releases and then I looked at this book after I realised I had read other books by the author. What a coincidence I see it’s being made into a film.
There's someone inside your house but the whole film was shot everywhere.
Lol
wkwkwk its true
Damn! This looks good. And, Kim's music with it makes it even better.

This is based on an amazing book! Please read the book guys!!!
But what book though?
@@betinioo There's Someone Inside Your House By Stephanie Perkins.
The killer wearing the victims face as a mask and killing others? If i was a director and lived in Texas this would be a great slasher plot. Now if only i had a chainsaw 🤔
there’s literally so much small Scream references like the Hugh Hefner coat on a party just like Stu. and Prescott street? idk how to feel about that
OH SH- No way! Is this based on Stephanie Perkins’s novel?! Oooh, I cannot wait for this to come out even though I have no guts in my body to watch the entirety of this whole movie. Also, this has striking similarities with the Fear Street movie franchise. Like I cannot even unsee it. Now that is dope as heck!

@@anthonywyattStylist Fear Street's wokeness was nowhere near as bad as this... Fear Street had plenty of typical gen z garbage dialogue like "androgynous baby" because young adults were the main demographic, but it was still a slasher film at heart that tributes to a lot of other slashers. Overall a pretty decent horror movie by today's standards.
This movie is just entirely political satire and it does it very poorly too.
There's no big bad Satan, it's literally just some blonde self-victimizing rich kid whose dad sucks???? like????? awful.
@@alita8900 I agree. If it wasn’t for that horeshit it would have been enjoyable. Unfortunately, it was blended into the whole film and without it there would be no motive. So yeah. I agree, it sucked.

It's been a while since a slasher caught my attention the way the trailer for this one did. As a big fan of the genre, i can't wait to check it out.
I don't know why in the US, people don't just erect fences around their houses. Like in my country, we have walls, metal fences and spikes around our houses. It's like a fortress here. If these americans just do that, then we can avoid all these unnecessary movie horror deaths 😄
Honestly, we even have like glass on the walls sometimes so no one can climb.
Almost everyone has fences but a lot of the times the fences are short. It can be expensive for fences and still easy to climb over
@@kyonkyon9950 Yeah it's really messed up. That stuff cuts wild birds claws, and harms cats too. So inconsiderate of nature.

A good old fashion slasher. I'm down for it. I just hope that they make the characters smart. I know some have to die, but with some creativity you can have characters be smart, but be outsmarted. Tired of the dumb teens getting butchered trope.
Love the office quote lmao
The Killer Was So Dam Obvious 🤦🏽♀️ Dude Had That Weird Ass Party… Basically Told It All
I’m reading the book and I’m curious to see how well the movie follows it. Already within the first few minutes of the trailer it’s different.
I read it and yeah im noticing some things but hopefully the murder’s motive isnt changed too much
SPOILER
the killer and his motive CHANGED!!
This movie sucks. Idk when it happened but horror lost it's spine somehow. The writers and directors rely entirely on jumpscares and finding ways to make the audience cheer for the protagonists. Horror is supposed to scare you, not to give you a fairytale ending.

This is just the trailer and I already noticed many changes, I hope the movie will be as hyped as the book

SO HAPPY TO SEE SYDNEY PARK BACK ON TV
You know what someone should do? Somebody should make a slasher horror film that revolves around high schoolers. The main character should be a girl that doesn't conform to societal standards and the victims of this slasher horror film should be some ditzy blondes, 1 black dude, and a bunch of letter jacket wearing jocks. Yea. I don't think anyone has done that yet. Should be a hit.
They should make a slasher film and never reveal who the killer is. Just have the audience speculate on who’s the killer and confuse us that it’s actually someone who we think is the killer. Keep slasher killer anonymous would be a great film
This give me a lifetime movie vibe
Am I the only one who watched this trailer because they thought it was some sort of reboot of "When a Stranger Calls"???
