great video, helped me a lot with replacement of my flue - thank you!
Glad it helped!
3:18 what's the point of the arrows if those pieces the arrows are on are free to rotate and are symmetrical?
I have the older Monitor stove, and I’m needing to remove the exhaust pipe to move the unit for floor replacement. I see no screws or straps, does it simply snap into place? I don’t want to ruin anything, so looking for verification or instructions
Maximum venting length is 10 feet and up to 3 90”s. So yes you can, but the exhaust piping must be in an conditioned area(heated). This is to keep the flue gases from condensating. For service and installation information on Toyotomi Stoves
1. Go to www.rural-energy.net/support.php by copying the underlined text and pasting into your address bar.
2. When web site comes up scroll down in the icon list, click on the TOYOSTOVE for stoves or the 2nd OILMISER icon for Toyotomi water heaters.
3. In next window the 3rd drop down is trouble shooting and maintenance. It has a ton of trouble shooting videos, great service documents and parts breakdowns. Top one is installation and operation manuals for all models.
Is the exhaust pipe very loud?
The exhaust does not produce a noise..
We've had a toyostove in our house for about 7 years and now are having the exterior of the house resided and rigid insulation added to the exterior. My question is about removing the flue pipe then reinstalling it into the wider house wall. Does the flue pipe simply unscrew as your video shows screwing the two halves together? Will the two halves be 'tight' after years of use? As your video or information states, perhaps a new flue pipe should be re-installed. The flue exists several feet above the stove so inside access is good.
The flue will twist apart, unless it's caked with carbon at the threads. The flue pipe last 7 years on average so changing it now is recommended. Attached is a link to the installation manual, which has the part numbers for the installation & extension part numbers. www.livelifewarm.com/docs/omLaser731-Laser%20732_USrev.1110.pdf
@@livelifewarm Thank's for your reply. I would agree the flue should be replaced and I believe mine is 'caked with carbon at the threads'. I 'mildly' tried to unscrew the exterior piece and although the part with the 'up arrow' would turn, the air inlet and exhaust portion remained tight and I didn't want to force things at this time. Do you have a suggestion as how to break the two halves free when it comes time to install the new parts?
Try heating it with a torch, being careful not to over heat it. Other than that, you will have to put some force on it when you turn it.
I am interested in buying a FF30 for my boat. only the wall thickness is 3/4 CM it is possible to install the heater.
Can the pipes be cut to adjust size?
The flue pipe contracts to 4" or 10.16 CM - It is not possible to cut the pipe as they screw together
Can these units be installed on an interior wall with the flue runnning on a 90 through through the wall to the exterior appx 6' in length?
Thanks for your helpful videos. Is it ok to install the heater diagonal in a corner? I'm aware of the safety distances.
Yes, Purchase a flexible exhaust to assist in the installation. Part #20479888 12" length pipe or #20479889 20" length pipe.
How about the Fiberglass insulation, do you go threw the insulation or take some out from around the pipe??
The answer is yes, you can go thru fiberglass insulation without removing insulation as the outer wall of the flue pipe is the combustion air intake bringing in cold air for the Toyotomi Toyostove and the inner pipe of the flue pipe is the exhaust expelling hot combustion air outside of the home. So the isn’t an issue with fiberglass insulation touching the flue pipe in the wall cavity. also by removing insulation from an exterior wall will lower the R-value of the wall in that area and could cause a cold wall with possible condensation on the inside of the wall which could damage the drywall.
I got this Toyostove in my basement, but I need to get heat upstairs. I have a 3 floor home, and I want to get heat on the top floors, is there a way to exstend the pip to those floors using the machine from the basement?
Are you trying to heat the additonal floors in your home with just the stove pipe? Maximum venting length is 10 feet and up to 3 90”s, but the exhaust piping must be in an conditioned area(heated). This is to keep the flue gases from condensating. For service and installation information on Toyotomi Stoves 1. Hi, how do I remove this from my wall. Thanks
To remove your flue pipe you will need to grasp the end of the flue pipe and twist counter clockwise, they screw together in a clockwise motion and they remove by turning it in a counter clockwise clockwise motion. This will remove the flue from your wall.
You realize that customers want a video that will give the easy instructions on how to operate. Some of your videos should be geared to the consumers and not to the technicians. Just saying
