- We're installing some Verus Engineering Hood Louvers / Vents to the FRS today to help lower those engine bay temps. Some people are having issues with the ignition coils going bad due to overheating so hopefully this will help prevent that from happening, plus they look amazing!

Was definitely worried I was going to screw things up, but the instructions and templates were very helpful and precise.
Wanted the comment to be prevalent...So the hood is aluminum therefor you dont need to paint to keep it from rusting. How about the trunk lid? I am mounting a wing on it and had to drill holes. Is the trunk lid made out of aluminum as well?
Yes the trunk is aluminum as well.

Looks awesome, not intimidating to install at all. Did you end up painting or sealing up where you cut to prevent any rust from developing?
I'm not too worried about it as the hood is made out of aluminum.

What made you go with these Verus hood vents vs something like the Trackspec hood louvres?
Personally I chose to go with Verus over Trackspec because I liked the fact that I was just cutting the top layer of the hood and there was a smaller footprint. We've worked with Verus on a number of products and they've proven time and time again that they're capable of building some of the best parts for these cars.

Is it worth it cutting the hood?
Totally depends on what you're using the car for and it's really personal preference. Some people don't like modifying their OEM body panels and others would rather have the functionality aspect of the vents.
@@KevinVo i only daily mine. And do canyon drive once in a while. I have turbocharger installed. And thinking of doing similar thing. Just wondering, should i or should not.
