Eric Jamal came with crazy ODB energy but man-if it's something I love about Coast Contra, it's how they function like a well-oiled machine. Everybody has their strengths and they flow so well together, it's so dope.
One of my fave tracks all time
4:02 "Call a doctor"
Well placed.
“Too many cats, I just see pumas” my god the wordplay this man just squeezed into 7 words is fucking insane 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yoooo! I didn't even catch that. Definitely a wordsmith for real
That shit got levels to it!
Man I just caught that!!
Bruu that shit went over my head
i dont get it?
Love how each person's style compliments the others. Lyrically clean and fresh, this crew is breathing New Life into Hip Hop!
No they breathing old life into a new hip hop
They seem like they bringing old school back you can actually understand them they are using words dudes have that old school flow good group they all go together super well
Eric Jamal killed it. He reminds me of the rap/hip hop I listened to as a child to now.
20 year olds giving us old heads nostalgia.....I'm here for it🔥🔥🔥🔥
yes sir! 🙂
Aight
HELL YEAH, I'M 41 and this is the best I've heard in years.
Facts ✨
I’m 47 and after so many years to hear old school is really refreshing 😎
God damn, that last verse brought me back. That’s a perfect example of what real hip hop is. Shit went crazy.
They was all killing it then last Dude straight took over his vibe his energy and the way he just delivered every single line was crazy!
Eric Jamal
saw it on tictok had to look for them
That was insane
Yea the last guy had that shit coming out of him! Straight soul in his delivery
They chilling, he the star
That being said, he’s def not a solo act
05/2024 and last broo is still blowing my mind. this is pure OOOOG storyteller mode. fuxing amazing
Last dude has a few recognizable influences and still managed to sound like himself. That was wild.
Busta and ODB
This is the best take I've seen across social media and etc....
Yes and yes 👌
Feels like 1995
@@sheldonm i second that
The first three are amazing poets, but damn the 4th one is so damn musically gifted. He just plays with his voice like it's nothing, his timing and changes of voice and cadence are amazing, and all are phenominal for their timing with the adlibs.
The 2 twins in the middle are Teedra and Ras Kaas kids so they were born with that gift definitely. Eric Jamal, the 4th, I'm just in love. They just featured in a "Pop" music video with Ciara. They're just all around musically gifted.
Fourth guy gives me ODB (RIP) vibes with his animated rapping and I'm all for it.
makes me think of him like a mix between rza, gza and odb
Am I the only one who noticed they're not even listening to the music? They're not even wearing the headphones on their ears.
This is faked more than the fake "flow".
Still dope tho
@@ThRoWBaCkTeXaS what are you talking about. Faking things would be way easier if they WERE listening to the music than if they weren't. Of course they're listening, the music isn't just playing on the headphones.
THE LAST DUDE IS A DEMI-GOD for that verse!!
Who is he? I wanna know
@@justinkarnov1466 Eric Jamal
Gotta save the best for last
I am a sucker story rappers
This is the type of group that you literally cannot decide who is the best.
Last dude is channeling Busts Rhymes energy back when he was in leaders of the new school. He tells a story like Slick Rick and has a cadence like Das Efex. What a breath of fresh air.
Ol dirty
Young busta
Agreed. He could hang in the booth they would make something new
I was gonna say the same thing. Never thought I would hear the 2nd Coming of Busta but damn it he’s here. What a feeling to hear real rap for a change. I’ve watched it like 10times str8. Definitely a fan of them. Wish them nothing but success.
@@richgreen3458 me too God
Straight fire, have not heard hip hop like this is many years or seen another group like this since the golden era. Coast Contra will be legendary!
Eric Jamal bringing that oldschool style with full conviction. Literally one of the best expressions of a flow I’ve seen in a while. Fully committed. Love the this shiiit so hard
Jamal he reminded me of beasty boys.
@@CharlesEllsworth89 beasty boys? more like KRS-One.
Eric Jamal is the TRUTH. Slick Rick crossed with ODB…with the consciousness of Mos and Kweli.
Bol be on some shit
You fellas do NOT get enough credit. Shit. Is. Fuckin. Fire.
HELLA
You know it
Y’all ain’t never seen nothing like us in HipHop! This the evolution
No doubt. That shit was refreshing kid shout out to yo fam as well

You could tell how hard they worked at that from their reactions at the end. No celebrating, just relief. You want to be successful, take notes, these guys are working their asses off. Love to see it, I'm rooting for them!
I’m glad someone else noticed that too. A moment that showed me they deserve every bit the recognition they’re getting now
Yeah it's hard to lip sync an entire rap song, they were probably stoked they finally made it after god knows how many tries
i dont understand what youre saying no celebration? whats wrong with that? also you know this isnt really live right prerecorded vox all day..dont get me wrong its dope but what you mean?
this shit fire. these dudes need to be known by everyone.
“Too many cats all I saw was pumas” he got the ODB flow he can do all the yelling he wants and you can still comprehend what he’s saying and the delivery is top notch

Yeah this really makes it a breath of fresh air
All these cats are wildly talented. Something about homie at the end tho….his delivery and cadence is mind blowing!!🤯🤯🤯
This was a flawless execution!!! They chose absolute perfection in the sequence of MCs. When the first guy spits you are like oh he must be the heavy spitter of the crew. Then you realize each one of them is standing on there own. Just when you are about to tire of just another great MC they blindside you with a level of showmanship not witnessed since Old Dirty Bastard and/or a rising Busta Rhymes possibly.
Good take. This is exactly how I feel
It’s unreal how hard this shit is. Literally had chills for 4 minutes and 26 seconds.

The last guy had me hanging on to my seat with every line. This group is straight fire
"Too many Cats, I just see Pumas" that line was slick as hell, and y'all freestyled over J.I.D.s never. Absolutely love it
Maaaannn....I'm a bit J.I.D fan and I gotta say that guy can probably hold his own cadence wise. The energy was on Busta.
This definitely ain't a "freestyle" in the traditional sense. This a "freestyle" like hey we don't have a topic these some lines I wrote. Doesn't take away from the talent and skill. But all of this was written, paper, cell phone, or just in the head.
@@MrArtVein Some call it freestyle some call it over the top. A freestyle is not a freestyle. They clearly use the term of freestyle as a written part you deliver on beat, without cuts, without effects, just raw. By that said the freestyle caption is not wrong
