I have a L4701 and I can pick up a full bucket of gravel or dirt and put it where I want. I do this with only a box blade and quick hitch for ballist, just make sure those front tires are at max air pressure. I do have R4’s which are better suited then the AG tires for lifting. Just 6 more payments, can I get an amen?
I went back to R1. If you get a heavy load all the weight is up front and those R4s just spin in place. I couldn’t get the traction I need. I found myself limited. I was having to use the tractor like it was a 25 horse and not a 47 so I wouldnt lose traction. I realize the R4 is stiffer but I couldn’t utilize them even on dry ground sometimes I’d be fine with R4 if I was in a gravel parking lot type setting. Congrats on paying that thing off! I love my 4701
Hey Zack , good stationary demostration on the 4701. What do you recommend (with just within equally loaded pallet forks) could this "Rig" run around "all day"saftly @ the carry HEIGHT ( not 6" off the ground)aproxamitly 59" up?Thanks for the great Video Sir and happy safe tractoring. Insedently my Mx5200 TLB can only (real world) handle 18 bags of Portland cement@ 94lbs = 1692lbs evenly cube spaced plus pallet forks lifting, moving, stacking to 56". So this is only equal to 68% of what the pivot pins max HEIGHT is equal to. Although in a test it can pick up with 4' heavy duty forks 3200lbs to a USELESS HEIGHT of a measly 6 inches. And further more it LOST a foot of lifting capacity when adding just ONE 94lb bag of Portland cement close to the bulkhead of the forks( in that test). I really think the loader "Kubota number" should be calculated & marketed as such-- loader # × 2.2 then mutiplyed by 65% for safty, longevity & Reality.
If ya use the joystick at the knob end the hydraulics work a bit smoother ! Plus I’d like to know how the LA525 loader lifted 1600# ? All I get out of mine is about 1000 total including fork weight!
I wish my brand new L4701 lifted a bucket of dirt without going into bypass. Hydraulic pressure is at 2650? Something just isn’t right? Good video, thanks
I have a Grand L 4060 with an LA805 loader which can lift more than that one in the video. I have hit my limit way more than once digging dirt. Dirt is freakig heavy I will give you that.

Thank you for these lift capacity videos, so helpful.
I love these lift capacity videos.
Excellent real world demonstration! Thank you.

That is very weak for the la525. You may want to check your hydraulic relief pressure, as it may be set low.

Have your dealer check your valve to see if it is working properly mine wasn't closing off, I thank that's what he meant
Would love to see a loader test on a MX???
Just watched the MX loader capacity video, thanks!!
I’d watch a video on your lift capacity 💪
