dyno runs compared to the stock filter and box would be good, see if there is any gains, stock and modified
Shudda done a before and after on the dyno

Also paper filter is better at filtration ,so it safer for engine.
With an open filter paper is not safer, with moisture they can collapse

Out of curiosity, if it’s raining what’s it like for water intake? As it’s not sealed in is there any rain catches?
As of yet, there have been no issues. It's rare that much if any rain will enter that area
Need something like this for the n57 instead of the open version

It's a very tight space where it sits and doesn't get hot enough to have a heat shield or any kind of casing around the filter
@@DarksideDevelopments like said tho! Need to do one that’s closed not open so not sucking in the warm air right next to the engine!
There has been no heat issues where it sits at the moment, even with it being open
@@DarksideDevelopments was looking into getting it but living in a city why I wondered bout the heat! If it’s all good then I’ll get one.

Not at the moment but we are looking into b47 induction kits
on revs sounds subaruish
Will this fit the N47 in the E82 BM? Checked the site but doesn't seem so.
Just for F-series fitment with the filter at the front

Any thought's of a N57 heat sheild??
We did think about this but don't think it would make a huge difference do to its location. The filter is on the 'cold side' of the turbo with the turbo and exhaust heat on the other side.
Does it have a cover for the top to stop hot engine bay air coming into the filter? Thanks :)
Once your moving it’s getting cold air from the front anyway so lids are pointless
@@ShalomBrotherPlus the Intercooler takes care of cooling too.
Surely a top cover / lid is an advantage ?
It might block out slightly more heat but would also restrict the airflow

It is mainly shielded and retains the stock cold air feed
