maereth Bice didn't quit on them but some of them were about to quit on him. These Seal fratboys almost broke some of these guys. They learned a valuable lesson. NEVER QUIT ON SOMEONE THAT HASN'T QUIT ON YOU. That goes for those in the front of the line just as well as those in the back of the line.

+Isaac Bice Man you are awesome sir! The only thing holding you from doing that pull up was the extra weight you had around your mid section. But as far as 'giving it your all', I could see in your face that you were giving it %100! You did your best. With most people, their mind quits before their body and they don't realize that they have more in them. In your situation, your body quit on you when your mind never did, only because of the extra weight. But you can always lose extra pounds. You never quit, and thank God they didn't quit on you. You are awesome sir! A total inspiration. God bless you!

It's a program they volunteered for; even if they fail the course, does not mean they are fired. Challenges are exactly that, challenges. It's not always a happy ending. There are lessons in failure. There is something gained by coming up short. Men have egos, we are tough to admit our shortcomings. SEALs are reality. They bring reality to the public. Teamwork. Mental/physical confidence. We could all use a little.

I think this is great. it teaches you that you have the mental strength to get through some really difficult situations. Schools don't teach that anymore. they coddle kids with "you can do anything Johnny. Here's you medal for losing." Life is tough and people are pricks. push through dammit. get it done!

      They learn....
      1. Trust the process. We don’t always appreciate the process of learning, but we must trust those that have gone before us.
      2. Details Matter. Details can make the difference between success and failure and even life or death.
      3. Live in the moment. Focus on the here and now. Don’t think too far beyond what it takes to overcome the obstacle directly in front of you. Fear of the what if’s are devastating.
      4. Never quit. Don’t give up on what you desire to accomplish.
      5. Take care of your teammates. You can do far more as a team than you ever can as an individual. Never leave a man down.
Better people are those that understand these principles and desire to make the world a better place. Better people are those more concerned about other than they are about themselves.

I dnt want that i want to be a seal spcealized in breeching and a machine gunner operator holding down exstensive fire. I want to knock doors down and stand my ground while doing it. Or die trying. I may not have my family but i still have to prove i can be someone i am someone i can be something more then just a dreamer reminiscing of the past and what i could of bin, life set me up for something stronger something dangerous something unsure of a homecoming someday but positive of remembrance for as long as my country carrys on. An Plus in the cold of the mudd pit i want to be up to my neck in the coldest elements this world has to offer and sing a song

I don't know, just from the intro alone I can see this training is unnecessary. They start bringing in military-like training in every kind of (government) work & training (most of all the police). They call it making you mentally strong, but what it actually does desensitizing you to your own and fellow human suffering. As a soldier this may be good, but nationwide this is wrong.
I get some selection-training is required but SEALS? Remember this a elite department not even soldiers get trained like seals, the training does have to make sense for this line of work. It's not necessary to break someone psychologically to figure out if they are fit for this type of work.

+reconx86 don't tell other people that's it's wrong if it isn't for you. SLTC is right... this teaches you that you are much more capable than what you believe you are. If we as a culture (in the U.S.) put an emphasis on developing mental toughness for our youth then we might not have so many school shootings. Just a thought... this doesn't teach you to be a mindless robot (??).

    • @callisto2761
      @callisto2761 8 років тому +6

you're an idiot. I used to be a wildland firefighter and we did similar training and if you got into smoke jumping or hot shot crew then you got your ass beat down physically and mentally so you don't fucking panic and die when shit hits the fan.
a linemens job is extremely dangerous and helicopter deployment even more so. So shut the fuck up! you probably sit your fat ass in an office somewhere and the only exercise you do is arm curls when you're shoving donuts down your gullet.
