As someone with a long-oval head type, probably looking for the only solution being an Arai Signet-X for ridiculous money, I've used HJC in the past and they fit remarkably well around my jaw line, the strap locations, general comfort behind my head, and always felt very secure if only causing some pressure at the front of my forehead. I used an FG-17 which I believe is the predecessor to this F70, at least with the same shell material. Your mentioning the slightly longer and more narrow shape is probably right down my alley in looking for better shell fit. I usually had some slop/space on the sides of my head and being tight front to back. I'm going to give this a test. I'd rather dremel some EPS out of the forehead than pay 4x the price for a fussy complex lower visibility overrated Arai. I've also used Shoei before and their neck straps for thin, flimsy, and the tails swing away from the strap causing neck abrasion. Also Shoei has nothing for long-oval heads. I am an eyeglass wearer, but the bows are very thin on my glasses. Hopefully the check pads don't cause an issue here. I guess I'll find out.
Great honestreview . I received my f70 yesterday and it is a bad ass helmet. I got the stone grey one. Tight on my temples but I am satisfied with my purchase.thank you sir.
Had same problem wearing glasses. To high position. On ear placing of the glasses gives the glasses better position, but don't know if that compromises comfort to much.
I'm amazed you didn't talk about the most unique feature on this helmet - the reason that front vent looks so bad ass, and the breath guard is so large. I've heard that the visor opening is cut larger than any other helmet to greatly increase field of vision. I was hoping you would talk about this and confirm it. Does your silence on the subject mean that you didn't even notice because it's not a valuable factor? I tried finding reviews on Amazon but nobody has reviewed there yet. Is the larger visor opening a noticeable feature? Or just marketing hype.
I do not feel this has an overly large field of vision. It is about what I would expect for this helmet. There are others on the market with more open fields of vision like the AGV Corsa and Pista. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear Thanks for the feedback but it's too bad the Corsa and Pista prices start at $800 and $1200. The F70 is less than $300. I might wait for stores to re-open or just stick with the CL17 that I know and love.

Thanks for this great review. I think fitment in regards to oval vs long-oval is unfortunately imprecise. What does this really mean is 1 inch longer than wide or 2 inches?? I own a Schubert C3 Pro and a Hedon Hedonist both give me forehead pressure after 45-60 min. So i picked up this helmet and you are absolutely spot-on. I had it on my head at home the night i bought for 2 times 45 min, felt that i was getting warm in my forehead but not exactly pressure. Next day i went for a 4 hour 15 min ride. had the helmet of once because the right ear bud got loose. But no pressure point in forehead or anywhere less for that matter. So nice to be able to enjoy the ride and not think about the helmet... Have you tried any long-oval open face helmets? looking to replace the Hedonist as it hurts above 45min and is reaching 5 years.
Sorry this is not a helmet I plan to ride in. Given the venting it offers I would expect it to make some noise but not be ridiculous by any means. - Van
Hello sir nice video and thanks for details! I have one question, you open many times the ''glass'' with two hands, is that so hard to open with one? When you are on the road can you open it easy? Thanks again!
It can be replaced if necessary. We find most of these will last the life of the helmet as they are not exposed to the elements being behind the outer shield. - Van

Best face mask out there to protect you from the Coronavirus. Over the last 20 years there is a very strong possibility I have ridden in and owned more full face helmets than anyone in this industry. That said it is just not possible to ride in all of them. When I do the reviews I like to note whether or not I have ridden in the helmet. Even without riding in the helmet I can help to bench mark the fit, give you an idea of the quality to expect and break the features down. - Van
Something I've noticed trying on helmets at a shop, they don't fit the same as a fresh helmet shipped to the door, even in the exact same model. Probably due to a dozen customers trying/wearing that shop helmet and compressing the foam slightly. Get a helmet, put it on, wear that sucker 1/2 hour or longer if need be before determining if you're going to keep it. I've literally tried a dozen helmets that way because it's difficult to find stock at dealerships who offer the correct size. Thankfully I have retailer in my state and free shipping.
Was anyone able to install the Cardo Packtalk Slim communicator on the HJC F70 helmet ? What about this special Sena compartment at the rear of the helmet, can Cardo somehow fit over/in it? Does the internal sun-visor mechanism gets in way of the Cardo controller clips? The helmet is not listed on the Cardo site under helmets comparability, but I wonder if anyone in the real world did it...
@@dalecolegrove6652 Hey Dale, thanks very much for letting me know it is possible. Care to share any details about your installation? Did you have to alter anything on the helmet, or on the device? How did you deal with the big battery compartment at the back of the helmet? Cheers
