  • I’m always looking for new ways to use up my leftovers, and this lasagne rollups recipe has definitely earned its place at my dinner table at home. For those times when you’ve got meat sauce but not quite enough for a regular lasagne, this bolognese roll-up lasagna is the answer. Extra bonus points for the fact there are way more crispy bits of pasta on top of this version if, like me, you’re always fighting over those, too.

I am from Australia. THANK YOU for describing the creams. I watch a lot of American channels and never know what is what, but now I do.

Vertical cannelloni/manicotti! Very cool, Marion! I think that in the US the cream would be closer to "table cream" (thicker than half/half, but thinner than heavy cream), and the cottage cheese you used would be closer to what we call a smooth "ricotta". This looks very accessible and yes, I like the crispy edges in lasagna, so this would suit well! Thank you for a wonderful recipe!

💯% Agree! Nutmeg is underrated, under used, valued. I just made some Oatmeal with fresh grated Nutmeg and Cinnamon. There is absolutely nothing like it! It is fantastic! You have to be careful, there is such a thing as too much. I will even grate a little over my latte! ♥️♥️♥️

Likely you mean heavy cream instead of half-and-half. Half-and-half is cream diluted with milk typically used in the US in coffee.

This was cool to see, I use the some of the same ingredients and roll up technique for my lasagna except I roll them horizontally. 😊

Cottage cheese in the US is pretty lumpy with curds, so it looks like cottage cheese in Australia would be called something else in other parts of the world. It looks almost like a cream cheese or mascarpone. Which is good because I loathe cottage cheese. LOL. This recipe looks fantastic, Marion! I can't wait to try it out soon. 😃

I like cottage cheese but cannot stand ricotta, which is more commonly put in lasagne.

@@lschoenrank I buy my cottage cheese in 3lb containers and could eat the whole thing by myself. Cottage cheese is cheaper if on a budget.

Bloody genius! Impressive. I'm gonna do this with leftover bolognese sauce from now on. Will refer to it as "Marion's Curl-sagna". 👌👩🏻‍🍳😆

Typically, regular homogenized milk is 3.5% milk fat; half & half is 10% milk fat; cream is 18% milk fat; whipping cream is 35% milk fat.

Hi Marion, I'm a fan of your recipes. I have a question for you, I'm from Chile, and it's very hard to find lemongrass here. ¿ Do you have any recommendations about how to replace it in a dish?

It looks like all the filling falls out this way. I prefer to use the longer sheets and lay them on the seam side to bake. Then usually one roll is a good serving size.
