Chris please, react to all cinematics of League of Legends and the League of Legends Stick figure spotlight animations(by Hyun's Dojo), these are so cool! :D
WATCH THE ORIGINAL STAR WARS OLD REPUBLIC TRAILERS, AND WATCH THE LAST BASTION OVERWATCH TRAILER
WATCY THE OVER WATCH TRAILER FOR HONOR AND GLORY
OVERWATCH THE TWIN DRAGONS OVERWATCH TRAILER
Any league of legends cinematics any time soon?
"Alive" gets better every time I watch it.
Its my fav among the overwatch cinematics
Absolutely.
It’s actually so amazing
Everytime I see an ow cinematic I think:"thats the best one!"
It’s underrated asf
The fact that he doesn't realize he's saying Widowmaker's line "One Shot" but hes actually referring to the camera work was done in "one shot" is awesome
Lol i didn't even catch that, i thought he was talking about when widow killed someone
@@biogamer3513 it's a flaw that distinguishes true gamers from The Others
@@manupaz I love how you capitalized "The Others" lmao
Didn't even notice that until u said it. LMFAO
"It's high noon" is a voice line Jesse Mccree sais when he uses his ultimate, therefore when the clock turns 12 they attack. I just find it funny
Oh wait I didn’t realize that, and just before the clock ticked the tumbleweed went by just like in his ult
I love watching reaction videos because it’s like you’re showing your friend a video for the first time and u want to see how they react.
There is the reason I hoped to have. Most people hate it when I watch that stuff
I would recommend watching them all, but if you want to pick out only some, please do "The Last Bastion", "Honor and Glory" and "Dragons". The best in my humble opionion (although they all are great). :)
Oh and "Zero Hour"! How could i forget? xD
Or....just do them all, they are really worth it. Here is the playlist from the official Overwatch channel:
ua-cam.com/video/FqnKB22pOC0/v-deo.html
And Zero Hour
I believe it's quite the consensus that these are the 3 best ones (out of so many awesome ones)
yeah Dragons zero hour and honor and glory are soooo gooood
I'm telling you man, none of the cinematics hit you in the feels harder than "Honor and Glory" and "Dragons", but I know youll get to them all in time! I also recommend the Harbinger/Warbringer animations for Warcraft. Another great reaction/analysis video, i look forward to the next👍
Fiklik the last bastion should go with H&G
and the lords of war
Complete agreement.
Honor and Glory is the one that really gets me.
Honor and glory and the mei one make me cry
“Nice”
-Chris 2020
Nice
Nice
Nice
Nice
Nice
I can't be the only one who loves the fact that he reacts to wide range on video game trailers and cinematics, he totally listens his audience 🙌🏼
You need to react to The Last Bastion. I think that's the best Overwatch cinematic yet.
So powerful emotionally
Yep,It's very Cinematic and also works with a rule "Show, don't tell"
"Honor and Glory" is on the same level. They are all really nice. :)
He should just watch all the OW Cinematics, all are good
Indeed. Bastion isnt as much special effects as much as it is about how the story is told and the narrative aspect, maybe a bit different to the videos Chris usually comments on, but if he don't mind taking a look at a video from the storytelling aspect, the buildup, the hinting etc then I cannot recommend Last Bastion enough!
*** Potential Spoilers!! ***
Apparently it was highly praised by the army veterans organisations in how it explains how it is to live with PTSD from being under fire and in active combat..
I see a lot of recommendations but not a lot of explaining xD. The first video. You meet widowmaker (the sniper) she was married to a Overwatch agent. She was captured by a evil organization called Talon and tortured till she became a sleeper agent. Later after she was rescued by Overwatch, she murdered her husband and then escaped back to Talon to become one of there best assassins. I think you know of Tracer (time control girl) but her back story is that she was originally a pilot. She was piloting a experimental plane that was suppose to do what she can do now but it malfunction and she was diagnosed Chronal Disassociation. She was basically a ghost, she would phase out of existent and phase back in. Later her friend a Scientist (the mention him in the second video the "monkey") made her the machine that you see that she wares on her. It basically stabilize her and make her able to control her own time as you can see.
The second video you can see but they have a background together . You meet Jessy McCree. He was basically was part of a gang called the Deadlock gang. He later got into a fight with a overwatch agent and he was offered a spot in overwatch's Black ops group and joined them. Ashe is now the current leader of the Deadlock gang.
This is mostly basic info as i know of tracer and widowmaker than i do Jessy and Ashe but i hope this explain a bit more. Keep up the awesome work and my recommendation is like most of the commets - Dragons, The first trailer. Rise & shine (mostly to introduce the character there) and when you finished with them Overwatch 2 Trailer
really straight forward info easy to digest for our boi chris
I know I'm a bit late to the party but he coming at this a film maker and not as a player. So this means he is missing A SHIT TON of hidden jokes and references that a true fan a player would have. To be honest I like that part. It means he has not much invested knowing the characters and will judge it on just the cinematography. I hope once he seen them all he reads the comics, plays a bit then rewatches to see what he can pick up that he missed before.
I never got Tracer’s chronal accelerator. Like does she need to constantly be wearing it? Cuz that’s not what the comics show (see the Christmas one and the most recent Tracer comic where she just casually takes it off and hangs it as if it were a rain coat)
@@zachblair3794 Actually if you look at the charismas comic you will see the chronal accelerator in a machine that is explained basically making a bubble in her apartment that she can move around normally in. But if she has to go somewhere she does need to wear the harness to move around with out phasing in and out of reality
SoMeanZombie Ohhh. Must’ve forgotten about that. Thank you to the smart Scientist
7:30 when tracer and him has the SAME reaction to widowmaker laughing. That cute 😌😂
Everyone is suggesting "Honor and Glory" and "The Last Bastion" I suggest those, but definitely watch the Overwatch 2 cinematic. It's really good but you should save it for last.
Regarding the other Overwatch cinematics, they are: "Dragons", "Infiltration", "The Last Bastion", "Honor and Glory", "Hero", "Rise and Shine", "Recall" and "Shooting Star" (and the Announce Trailer)
"The Last Bastion" as well as "Rise and Shine" are more atmospheric, the rest is more action driven.
My overall favorite is "Dragons", "The Last Bastion" is a close second, but "Honor and Glory" and "Infiltration" are also very nice.
Most characters from the cinematics reappear in "Zero Hour" (which is pretty sick by the way), the announcement trailer for Overwatch 2. Which is why this one is best to watch after the rest of them.
Don't forget Zero Hour.
Colinnz bruh
The Plan?
Dragons is fantastic. I've definitely watched it the most out of all of them
Ali The Artist The Plan is the most forgettable “cinematic” to me it just looks like one of those meme TF2 animations
Please watch Last Bastion, its fantastic
RYAN!!!!!!
It’s also a sick pun.
Last bastion is the best one
"honor and glory" "the last bastion" and "dragon" are masterpieces of overwatch cinematics, you have to react to these
Best cinematic
Off topic, this guy looks fine as hell.
Goddamn finally someone mentions it I thought I was going insane
Fax
@@gebdemedici me too. I was losing it at the fact that NOBODY bought this up. He's so MAJESTIC
Because nobody is by sexual
@@kozah9306 We DID watch the video, my comment LITERALLY has "off topic" in it, what are you expecting?
never clicked a link so fast
Overwatch's best cinematic might just be "Honor and Glory", it's a must watch.
Infiltration 😍
you mean the worst?
@@wig.snatcher What, what are you talkin about.
@@wig.snatcher yeah what u talking about honor and glory is amazing
@@sincro233 sorry but my fav is alive
bro “Alive” gives me tingles all the time, widow is such a badass in there
For you if you want to see the reaction only.
2:22 Alive starts (Tracer vs Widowmaker)
8:42 Reunion starts (McCree vs Ashe)
I’d love to see your take on all of these, they all have something cool and unique that you could go into more detail on how to do. Plus they’re all just really good!
I should stop pressing "thumbs up" before I see the video.
On the other hand, I was never wrong.
Was…
Was that a pun?
Tracer: *breathes a tiny bit of widows gas
Also tracer: *BREATH'NT*
27:30 this is a visual effect called "chromatic aberration" in which the waves of light refracting through glass elements pass at slightly different angles and inhibit perfect focus on a subject, most often resulting in cyan/magenta/yellow "edges" on the subject in focus, or in layman's terms, "color fringing". Usually, the more expensive the optic - the better the quality of the glass - the less CA are present, with APO (Apo-chromatic) lenses essentially being aberration free, but uber expensive!
It's very cool how they even simulated this effect in an animation! Leads me to believe Widowmaker's scope isn't of the "highest" quality though lol. Fringing quite badly!
More overwatch, you gotta watch Dragons Cinematic as well!!! Overwatch cinematics are amazing! Super epic and action packed with emotions
Thanks for the tips!
@@ChrisConnorFilms You need to watch them in the order they were created, if possible. They tell a story.
@@ChrisConnorFilms Yes you NEED to watch Dragons!!!
And "Honor and Glory"
"Dragons" is the best Overwatch short. "The Last Bastion"
is also pretty good, but it's pretty different, more like a silent film. Another one that's alright is “Honor and Glory”
but it's far more cliché.
Dragons and The Last Bastion are absolute excellence, especially for the sound and music (and story too)
And Overwatch 2 Cinematic Trailer!
I definitely want to see him react to Last Bastion.
Dragons is complete weeb bait. Last Bastion and Honor and Glory are far better
Last Bastion is so good, if only because there is so much emotion conveyed on an expressionless face, and without a single word of dialogue being uttered throughout the entire short
like all these videos are worthy of recommendation, even the small character introductions that are just very limited animation and voice over are crafted to a T. Sigma's few minutes intro is honestly bone chilling to watch.
“Human, Machine we are all one within the IRS.”
The subtitles get me every time.
Human, machine, poor, rich
We can all agree the IRS sucks
i like how they change the explosion sound when the camera goes to the the robot, first u see the explosion then the sound comes. ^^
and in tzhe other one
he gives the tip
and later he says to ash
"You’ve never been one to shy away from a good tip”
and btw, the animation of the smoke from the cigar ... the details man xD
that looks so real
the tracer recall shot is so smart, when she uses her recall the background is clock if you look closely the time in the clock changed.
That’s confusing because that would imply that everything and everyone would also recall
@@qwart22 the opposite it implies only tracer recall, because the clock changed.
@@darklion13 No?
I love that you used Wlop’s Ashe drawing as background, amazing artist
You absolutely have to watch Honor and Glory
Man, I love your content, keep rocking like that
I love hearing the different analysis you bring for all of these different cinematics on the channel. It's really informative! I feel like i'm learning a lot about film-making from watching these.
Ashe in game is one of the most fun characters its so hilarious to hear her scream "BOBBBB DO SUMTHIN!!"
Train: Explodes Probably killing many people
Filmmaker: Laughs
Its just a bunch of loot really, and if it wasn't then there was no point in exploding it up.
I love how much he appreciates the art and the way everything is set up
i love that some filmmakers still keep their sense of wonder and amazement when looking at other projects that are good in their own styles instead of always only criticizing what is in the project. love it !
For that second video I'm fairly sure someone asked ' how cliché can we make this and it still be cool' and the answer someone gave was 'very'. Loved it.
what i really love in those shorts are the animations. blizzard is one of the few game studios (even in the game) who really understands how to bring virtual "persons" to life with so many little things. the facial animation in the "banter" scene of mcree is on another level
PS: "the last bastion" won a ton of awards and "honor and glory" and the overwatch 2 announcement trailer. "dragons" is awesome aswell
You really have to react to the Overwatch 2 Cinematc trailer, its so freaking awesome, you will love it !
All I want is a Talon cinematic where Moira is included, the in game lines she shares with the other members are great and I would love to see it in an animation.
Like a lot of others have said, Dragons as well as Honor and Glory are exquisite! Powerful story telling and stunning visuals! Please do these as a double feature next!
Overwatch Animated Short | “Dragons” Next This is one of the best ones. Even tho they're all awesome
I love that you´re going all out Blizzard Cinematics. I hope you´re going for Diablo III next. Great videos btw.
Thanks a lot for the info, I appreciate it! It's really cool when your favorite scene technically explained based on cinematography.
I love your reactions to these, and the analysis. I cannot wait to see you do the rest.
Definitely do Overwatch "Dragons" that one is a must-see! And then for the second you can either do "Recall" or the very first Overwatch Cinematic.
If you're thinking of doing more Overwatch trailers, I'd like to recommend Dragons. It's one of the most amazing Overwatch trailers in my personal opinion and it never fails to send goosebumbs down my spine whenever I watch it. Would be fantastic to see your reaction and break down of it.
Can't wait till the next video man, always exciting to see you post.
I followed your advice. After watching it once, I went back to the beginning paused and went frame by frame. I think I learned enough for a lifetime!!
In my humble opinion, "Dragons" is the best overwatch cinematic by miles. Impossible not to love that one.
watch the "dragons" from overwatch , the best one in my opinion
These videos are so much fun, and I'm learning so much! Thank you!
I really love your analysis of each short. I'm not a filmmaker, but I'm a writer, so I analyze things from the story and lore points (yay humanities degree haha). What's really interesting is seeing how they use the filmmaking aspects to solidify lore and character aspects, and in this case, game mechanics. In each short, the characters use their in-game abilities; such as Widowmaker with her poison mine, Tracer with her recall (traveling back in time) and teleport abilities, and McCree's flashbang grenades.
The comedic effect in Reunion is even better when you understand the abilities. Ashe and McCree's Ultimates (most powerful moves that you have to take time to build up) are used in the short--Ashe actually does shout "B.O.B.! Do somethin'!" and send him out onto the field to shoot at the opposing team. With McCree, a tumbleweed ACTUALLY TUMBLES BY IN GAME, and his Ult line is "It's High Noon," which makes the clock ticking in the short all the more funny--he actually shoots aT HIGH NOON. Honestly, the Blizzard cinematic team is one of the best out there.
I'm super excited to watch your other reacts to Overwatch shorts. May I suggest, also, before you watch the most recent trailer for Overwatch 2 ("Zero Hour"), you also watch the cinematics for the in-game story modes they had--Uprising, Retribution, and Storm Rising. These take place, timeline wise, before these shorts, and will help you understand more about the lore and characters that lead into Overwatch 2.
Overwatch: Last Bastion. You will love it. It is a genius filmaking and an amazing story without a single hint of dialogue.
You need to react to “Dragons” thats the cinematic with the best story and cinematics.
no lie i was about to click out when i saw that you're just straight up watching the cinematics.. but i had faith and waited a bit, and finally got to the breakdown part. and it just excites me how you break every little thing down one at a time. how the orange and red contrasts the blue, how you mention the 180 rule (which i didn't understand at first but now i do thanks to you), how the mood differs in each area according to the color scheme used. in the 'alive' cinematic, when widowmaker, the assassin, slowly grapples down the side of the building, and how you said the camera work would be difficult irl, but since this is animated, it is possible. it made me appreciates the cinematic even more. my love for overwatch, and the little knowledge i have on animations, movie making, and the stuff alike, made me enjoy every moment of you blabbering, a lot more.. and i am glad to have stumble upon this video
edit:
the cinematic 'dragons' and 'zero hour' is really cool imo
Great reviews keep up the overwatch cinematics they put in so much work into them
Besides Overwatch cinematics (which are awesome) I'd recommend to watch Sigma Origin Story (also a character from Overwatch).
Take your time, all of these are real good
For humour watch "junkrat and roadhog" cinematic, that is also of overwatch
I hope you cover more of these. Each of the Overwatch cinematics are their own unique jewel and definitely worth the time
Definitely looking forward to you doing the other shorts, especially Honour and Glory.
He should've started with "Overwatch Cinematic Trailer", then "Are You With Us?", and then "Recall". So he at least has a little bit of context of what's going on. After those two, anything is fine. Although my personal favorites are "Dragons", "Honor and Glory" and "Zero Hour".
you should give the FFXiV cinematics a shot
A Realm Reborn (basically if we gonna kill our game we´re going to kill it with the most epic fire out there)
Heavensward
Stormblood
and ofc Shadowbringers :)
Though on the arr thing it should be flames of truth for the epic extra at the end
so happy you did this bro ty so much man
Subbed love the detail and the genuine reactions keep it up!
Other reaction channels need to watch you and take notes. You're very good at this and make great videos.
YESS now you need to react to Zero Hour cinematic you gonna LOVE IT
I saw this video in my recommendations and i love it! The way you got excited watching the cinematics and explaining the camera work, colors and visual effects makes me smile like a child!!! One more subscriber to count õ/
My all time favorite is Honor and Glory. So much emotion, so much happening, it's the best!
Btw bro, dragons is the best cinematic from overwatch you have to see it
Please react to Final Fantasy 14's cinematics, I would love to hear your take on them.
Great channel
Ive watched all of these cinematics so many times I love overwatch but man Chris's reactions were so good he seems like such an amazing guy.
nice! all the OW cinematics are SO good, several of them made me cry, I hope you'll get to all of them in time!
after this im craving for an analysis of dragon and zero hour
Dragons are the BEST. watch Dragons Dragons Dragons :) Genji ftw. Also ive seen the Overwatch 2 cinematic like 30 times but still goosebumps&tears... cant help it. so i'm looking forward u to watch it :)
Szia!
Blizzard sci-fi:

Lovely analysis man, I will start to watch things different now... congratulations, you have my attention and also I want to watch every single video from your channel hahaha, thanks again.
ohh yes finally some Overwatch
Also hyped here coz I also recommended it
I was waiting for Dragons, but... okay :')
The "RGB split", like you call it, is actually a real thing called chromatic aberation. Chromatic aberration discribes the inability of lenses to focus all colors of white light onto the same point and is caused by dispersion. Dispersion is a property of the materials used for the lenses and describes how much a given wavelength (or color) gets broken by a lense. Hope that helped :))
I love how they used all the western cliche duel effects from tumbleweed to screaming eagles and sweating oil
Dude Overwatch Lore doesn't start with Alive and Reunion 😂😂 please watch opening cinematic and then go Alive(ok uve seen it), Infiltration, Dragons (
Please, please watch the origin stories too, they are amazing! Sigma's will give you goosebumps!
LETS BE HONEST I’m so glad he has fun with the reactions
I love how Widowmaker says "Adieu Chérie" right after Tracer gets distracted
The Age Rating is not for the Cinematic, it’s for the game, it has characters drinking alcohol I believe
Mcree smoking a tobacco cigar...
You should try "Deus Ex Human Revolution CG trailer"
and Assassins Creed 2/Assassins Creed Brotherhood/Assassins Creed Revelations Woodkid - Iron
Please!!
Thanks for the suggestions!
I found u on my recommendation and I rlly hope u make more of u reacting to overwatch videos
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE watch more of these, they are INCREDIBLE. Last Bastion, Dragons, Hero, they're all amazing. Especially Dragons, the best one IMO.
oh no no no.. there are still a lot of blizzard overwatch. watch it all. xD
And I learn about the 180 angle today.
14:34 "of course she survived."
me who played tons of hours of overwatch: duh. they both have history together and mcree used to be in their gang. killing them is like killing your own family. hell, he could even easily sneak up and use deadeye on them if he wants to.
also me: imlowkeyshippingasheandmcreeeventheirformerwritersaidtheirrelationshipiscomplicated.
Absolutely be sure to react to the other ones as well! They're all so good
The song that was playing at the beginning of reunion was called “Pale Rider by The Heavy Horses” for anyone wondering
You should react to some League of Legends cinematics, theyre pretty good.
About the characters:
The british girl that reverses time goes by Tracer, her actual name is Lena Oxton. Tracer used to be a pilot for Overwatch which is a group of people that tried to fight against evil. A malfunction occurred in the futuristic plane that she was assigned too, giving her a rare condition which involved her teleporting through space and time. Winston, a genetically altered monkey gave her a cure to her condition, which is the machine on her chest. With that machine, she is able to "blink" forwards in time, and be able to reverse time by five seconds or so.
The purple assassin goes by Widowmaker, her actual name is Amelie Lacroix. Widowmaker used to be wed to a high classed Overwatch agent that was currently investigating a case against the "evil" organization named Talon. Talon kidnapped Amelie using her as a hostage against Overwatch. During this process, Talon brainwashed and altered Amelie's bodily functions such as slowing her heart rate to make her the ideal assassin. Talon sent back Amelie and the day she was sent back she murdered her husband while he was sleeping. Amelie shortly returned back to Talon and now works under them.
Seeing this guy basically fall in love with overwatch for the first time is a feeling I wish I could experience all over again, love his appreciation for these cinematics!
Alive was really well made. There are some hidden meanings in almost every shot. Like when Tracer recalled and the background is a clock tower that represents her time-rewind ability. And also when Widowmaker shot Halo dead, the camera didn’t really show in the front of Halo but we all can see from the lights on his head that went off meaning that he is dead. So cool
