I loved this album back in the day, even though I recall a lot of the OG Norma Jean fans at that time disliked this album probably just because the change of no longer having Josh… Anyways, I had never seen this recording studio footage until now… wonder if it was included with the physical album or something. Never seen this online til now
@@scottsweatshirt9753 well to each their own but I think bless the martyr is the iconic Norma jean sound. Every song on that album is an anthem. O god is missing the balls to the wall energy that bless the martyr had. I think it’s fair to say they peaked in 02’. their 1st album ‘throwing myself’ under the name luti Kriss was also incredible. I’ve yet to find any bands that come close to the raw power that Norma jean and Zao had.
Came across this little gem tonight
Really love the super cut of them all yelling parts from Absentimental lmao
Legendary album
"Ahoy to the World! And Happy Holidays to All ❤ "
It’s grown on me more than any other NJ record for sure

Thanks bud
I didn’t realize they all had input screaming vocals in the album
I love the vid of them singing lmao
"Is this the ocean" lol
Omg I remember when will would wear that damn hat
Let’s be honest, bless the martyr was a masterpiece and o god was just decent.
I think retrospectively looking back p god was underrated
They are just different concepts, both are masterpieces imo
the drumming on O God and the textured guitar work there is far from decent. It is mind blowing. More rich than on bless martyr.
This is a terrible and not hot take. Oh God The Aftermath is their best album by a mile.
