I only came across Against Me here in London 7-8 years ago so its really interesting to look back a further decade or more. Must be honest and say back then they seemed much more of a band of equals, more recently they seemed like a vehicle for the me me me lead singers ego.

I want to thank Spirit of radio. CA unknown song comments for helping me find this song. I've always been looking for this song. I remember hearing it as a young lad probably how much music but I had long forgotten who had performed it. That line about Nina Hagen always stuck out in my head. As a kid I wasn't really into it I just knew Nina Hagen from that song get your body and the fact that this song reference to her blew my mind. Anyway the song is really cool and I like it now.

This is such a beautiful song. I’ve listened to it so much lately. Deserves to be famous.

This entire album was amazing from front to back. Insane they didn't become more of a thing. Yeah they came up and got lumped in with all the "emo/post-hardcore" bands of the time, but they were actually so much more. Helluva great rock band.

this a reupload right? feels so weird how *most* of that era of "underground music" seems to have been swept under the rug, memoryholed, etc. combinations of myspace, wayback machine, a stranger's slsk library and random old hard drives/mp3 players required to sift thru the netritus... there's a point where it seems like history's been erased or rewritten. and what becomes "popular" yet "underground" explodes in numbers, views, sales, fans, etc... and a lot of it seems manufactured. i suppose someone could comment a cultured analysis of the root causes, and i suppose i'd probably agree with them.

I don't quite get it. Vocals are a little rough, but you wouldn't really be able to tell at a show like this. Why is nobody MOVING.

I loved this album back in the day, even though I recall a lot of the OG Norma Jean fans at that time disliked this album probably just because the change of no longer having Josh… Anyways, I had never seen this recording studio footage until now… wonder if it was included with the physical album or something. Never seen this online til now
