- Legendary rugby league caller Ray Warren has been inducted into the NRL Hall of Fame. Known for his coverage of televised professional rugby league matches and to an extent swimming on the Nine Network.
Warren is referred to as “The Voice of Rugby League”.

I got so used to hearing Ray's voice commentating Rugby League over the years that when someone else commentates, it just doesn't sound & feel right. He always had a way with words that definitely made my imagination run wild as though I was at the game live. Thanks Ray for the memories, your incredible contribution to the sport, & Congratulations on being inducted into the Hall Of Fame. Truely deserved!

He's why I watch rugby league I think. Know about 50 highlights of him off by heart
I grew up hearing his voice on most of the footy matches. I'd watch those matches as kid and his commentary complimented the excitement and the theatrics of rugby league. His voice is pure nostalgia for me so I salute you Ray Warren, thanks for the childhood memories, the adolescent memories and hopefully the many more to come. God bless you Ray Warren.

Everyone talks about the players and coaches that have made Rugby League great. This man is one of the reasons League is the greatest game of all. If he retires this year it’ll be sad but we’ll always have the memories of his remarkable commentary career. Well done Rabs

I know for sure theres plenty people who would of had an opportunity to go watch a state of origin game but decided to stay home and watch it, purely just so they could hear rabs commentate it.

Didn't you hear Ray Warren say that Frank Hyde should have been inducted before him? I and a lot of other people believe that Rabs deserved the Induction as he is the G.O.A.T. especially the NRL
Never ever liked his commentary,in fact sick of all commentators.....why can't they call it like a horse race....call as it happens and unfold....not repeat,glamourised or biasly add your 2 cents....the best commentaries are those on the radio,who know the listeners are blind and want to hear only about the game,so they call it as such,instead of ego-maniacal ulterior motive commentary for personal gain and recognition.....a la over-paid and over-rated,so called media sport personalities
Your off your fucking head! Radio callers have to call the game differently for their listeners for the very fact they can't see it like someone watching a tv. Ray Warren is not just the best footy commentator that's ever lived,he is up there with the best all round commentators in the world. You just sound arrogant 🖕
@@Fuckthesystem-ro5wm radio callers have to call,by discription,play by play,as it unfolds,for a listener to visualise....there call has less fake media personalities opinions and over the top Jim Carrey theatrics, trying too hard for climactic tackles and tries,wasting time with repeated player profiles,etc....radio hasn't the time for that,they understand the listener can't see and can't waste the allocated time slot,so they call more of the ACTUAL game,which I perfer,then your bumboy,idol commentators!
