i miss david lynch

why did he have to die like i always knew he would die relatively soon but i never really realized how sad i'd be once he was gone. if u haven't watched/listened to/etc his stuff u should. pouring out two cookies &a coke for him :(((((((

i’ve been so devastated since the news came.. his work hit me at a young age and completely redefined my principles when it came to how i experience and enjoy art. the impact his work has had on me, although not expressed as outwardly and explicitly as my other interests, has been an almost constant presence. there was nobody else like him and i don’t think there will be again :,(

His death hit so many of us with a strange force and weight. I never met him, obvsl, but I met his Art and it touched and spoke to me in such a profound way that, without even realizing it, he became a big part of my life. Just knowing he was out there, being his authentic self, was a comfort. That he existed and made the weird and beautiful things he did still is.

They are having a Lynch retrospective at the IFC center and when I see "Directed by David Lynch" it just hits different. It makes me sad. :( Come visit me in NYC and we can mourn together.
