That’s why Deidre Hall refused to wear the red ribbons because she said she wouldn’t be a hypocrite at the gathering like many other actors that were wearing them and feigning concern for the victims. Hall had many dear friends that passed from the disease and said many wear the red ribbons for show.
@@brockreynolds870 I believe it was at the 1993 Daytime Emmys. It was when Deidre Hall refused to wear the red ribbons. That’s when he (allegedly) said “Better dead than red”. It’s said even Frances Reid was shocked. The reason why DH didn’t wear the ribbons was because she said she wouldn’t participate in hypocrisy regarding others wearing them but not having true sympathy for those that died.

The character's death was a big deal for the original DOOL viewers, just like losing Bo Brady and others later on was for next 'generation' (imo)
It was her husband its reasonable for her to be in shock like that and it was a really big deal
I always thought Addie returned for her father to guide him to Heaven.
