Great bike, I am 5'5 185 lbs and just love this bike. I have a 2015 v-star 950. I ride between 10,000-12,000 miles a year. That's not to bad for living in Bills Country Western New York. I mostly ride to work and to my camp site both 100 mile round trips. The v-star 950 handles well and is a very stable bike. I normally, get about 50 miles to the gallon, and over 200 miles for a tank of gas. That's riding mostly back-roads with some highway 55-70 miles an hour. Remember New York speed limit is 65. Going to Americade in Lake George and Milwaukee Wisconsin this summer. I can't wait. Enjoy the ride and be safe and live to ride another day.
Wow, great video. I have a 2011 v-star 950 with cobra pipes and a cobra powerflow intake and the batwing fairing, I agree with everything your said about the power difference after the upgrades of after market part to help the airflow. I liked your comments on the batwing, I am 5' 11" and with the batwing I am pretty sure that I could have a smoke in my mouth while riding at 90 Km/h. Enjoy the ride.
I ride a Kawa Vulan 800 classic, mostly freeway at 70-85mph. It does the job, but now I'm looking at a 09 Yammy 1100 classic for more power & comfort. The 950 on this video is one I've also considered-great ride & great bike.
Something must be wrong with the bike you're reviewing. My V-Star 950 tourer got 53-58 miles to the gallon consistently and its engine was as smooth as silk. But I never tried to make any changes to the exhaust system. ** One more thing. On the highway I sometimes would catch myself trying to shift into a 6th Gear.
Hello. Thanks for this review. It helps ! I'm gonna buy this bike soon I hope. One thing is missing : an exterior view of your bike ! I'd like to see this batwing ;) .
Hey brother! Nice bike. I own a blue V Star 950 with Cobra exhaust, Cobra air intake, and Cobra fuel management tuner. On average, with occasional throttle therapy, I'm getting around 35 mpg. It's worth losing some fuel for performance! Enjoy the ride 😉

Damn you stole that bike! One of the best deals I've ever heard. Peace brother.
tccoup355 yeah, I got extremely lucky on finding this bike!
I had to get a Corbin seat. The OEM seat seems to be the biggest issue. Otherwise, I love this bike, even for long trips. Jeralo
Dang dude, you stole it!! Cool bike too! Ride safe man!
