My cousin Jean Cantrell owns the Purple custom1956 Cadillac which was the first car you showed. Jean's husband James bought it at an auction in Alabama in July 1976, restored it to its original glory and then planned to drive it to Memphis and give it back to Elvis as a surprise gift. Sadly. Elvis died just two weeks before their planned trip to go down there with it. It is on permanent loan though at the Elvis Presley auto museum across from Graceland. James died on April 1st, 2016, just four days before he and Jean were to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. Jean is a spunky 90 years old and still living. I went to Georgia in October to visit her and recorded her story about the purple Cadilliac. Jean is the sweetest lady you would ever want to meet. Just a real gem. Her and Jim had toured the country with it back in the 70's before it was put at Graceland. When I went to see her, she gave me a packet of stuff that they made up to hand out to people on the tour. One of the things inside the packet was a necklace that was made from the original bumper of the car. It's very cool! Great video! I love seeing Elvis' cars. It's truly an amazing collection..
