  • Here's an example of a packaging not fitting in with the contents. This box is way too big for what's inside.
By the way, Apple Earpods are STILL great in 2024 if you need cheap wired headphones. Amazon affiliate link where you can pick them up for $19 (would love to know if you get them in an oversized box too): amzn.to/49mIcG9

There's more to it though. It's too easy and more common for a smaller package to get "lost in transit".
I see the reverse issue when ordering from overseas companies, that packaging isn't large enough to even allow for bubble wrap to protect the item. Common sense isnt generic, it is learnt and that has been left out of the schooling education system for decades it seems.

I get what you’re saying for traditional carriers - in this instance Amazon controlled the entire shipping chain. I’ve gotten plenty of things in envelopes or tiny boxes from them. This one was just peculiar.

Ok. I've had similar in Australia with Amazon. I just presume they buy a set size of packaging which would save them thousands. Like here in Australia, a Post Bag is a set price and size up to 3kg. What ever you want to place in it it has a fixed rate of charge to it anywhere to be delivered.

Counterpoint: if the box was AirPods sized, would it be more tempting for porch pirates? 🤔

It's clear that you don't understand anything about wholesalers and logistics. There's so much more involved, even if it's just that the supplier couldn't deliver the box that would fit better. There's no reason to make videos about something like that.
