Another good podcast and what I love is that James let’s people talk freely and he never makes anyone feel uncomfortable at all! It’s like a chilled vibe you get from James! 🥰
@@JamesEnglish keep going James your a star podcast interviewer half the people you interviewed won’t even be interviewed by piers because he makes people feel uncomfortable! You’ve got a big following and a lot of celebrities who are fans of you! And they watch u and then say yes let’s do it because your letting them speak how they want to! Well done mate give your self a big pat on the back 💪🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️
For all those commenting he is on cocaine etc....... Let me explain something to you. When you have worked in warzones, high pressure environments and constant vigilance settings, where you are constantly on high alert this becomes your day to day behavioural norm. Subconsciously your eyes are always scanning and your brain is searching on overdrive for possible conflict possibilities without you even realising it you are in a heightened state of awareness. I am former military, also worked as a close protection and private security operative and I still suffer the same thing years after leaving that lifestyle. Not as much these days but when I am out in public, particularly in busy places the subconscious behaviour programming is triggered. It's actually very mentally tiring and can often lead people to be agitated or depressed without knowing why due to the brain being like an engine constantly on high revs.
Not saying you’re wrong but it wouldn’t be the strangest thing for someone in that situation to use drugs as a coping mechanism/ help them enjoy themselves
People are saying he's on cocaine because hes not opening his jaw more than 10mm it has nothing to do with his eyes. It's like he's trying to be a ventriloquist minus the dummie
After the 57 minute mark. He basically reveals, how humble he is. Top guy , very grounded, earthed as they say , good character, great soul, courageous, ambitious, parents ought to be very very happy with him.
I love the podcasts James. I do think yours is the most professional. Just a suggestion, in the description you could say who these people are or why your interviewing them.
20 minutes in, after guest shares story, smiles, James says, sign me on for that. Made me laugh. James you have a good sense of humour and know when to apply it, perfect timing, enjoying it so far, thus guy is the real deal , let's go
Such an archive of podcasts here James. to be fair youtube is doing a good job at suggesting new ones. I have to say one of my faves is the female bank robber and the broadmoor prisoner. top quality keep it up lad, i have similar problems to you pal in many ways this is therapy for us all. thanks
Brilliant James how you could talk about the dark side of the interview then know when to change for a lighter bit and have a laugh take a bow Brilliant as always 🏴
Wasn't giving much away this one. No mention of childhood other than normal, no mention of millitary training, what unit he served in. Dates over lapped, touched on a something like the SAS he worked with at the end. Took a two year leave of absence. Hmmm
All the people commenting saying this man is on cocaine 😠. He may be anxious talking about some of his experiences knowing that loads of judgemental people will watch it. Undiagnosed trauma is a massive issue and can cause his eyes to keep darting around and he has definite symptoms of hypervigilance. It's hard to talk about stuff without physical reactions occurring in the body and his humour is a definite deflection from his emotions. I do the same. Great podcast and a great human to interview.
Great interview. Came across as a real genuine guy. Many people in the industry try to be the big hero and love a good Story. Being an ex soldier and a bodyguard myself its refreshing to hear someone with experience talk how it is and not try to swing the dick or glorify it! Clearly great success as a soldier then bodyguard and now moving into movies. Good luck to you Simon! Hats off to you sir!!
I have watched a couple of your interviews and have really enjoyed them.i find your style of interviewing very relaxed.i plan to watch all your interviews .its like this topic i am a women and have no interest in this topic but i really suprized myself how interesting i found it .so i will be watching all your videos also i know my husband will find your interviews very interesting so am going to get him watching them. Thank you 👏👏👏👏👏👏
His eyes could be related to trauma. Not drug use, I see folks mention below, he could be on drugs but for all we know, it could be trauma through the life he lived.
Among other things most of the heroin that ends up on the streets comes from that part of the world. If the drugs police there do a better job then customs in the UK have less to worry about. Not that they do fuck all anyway since most firearms crime in Britain is committed with Handguns which are simply sent into the UK from mainland Europe.
James i watched your Ayahuasca episode but i've heard you say in a recent interview that you weren't sure and wouldn't let go. Can you do an update on that and why you feel the way you do about it. Rogan swears by it plus others but i would love to know your full perspective.
Simon it was a pleasure. James you just get better and better. In my eyes you are the best out there by a long long way , doing these podcast. I never hear any bad press about you at all. And I believe you will reach the very top in what you are doing. And you are a blue (Rangers) so even better WATP !!!
Reach the top ? He is at the top. Mike Tyson hotboxing, James English. - then the rest follow, attwood has equally the guests, but interviewing skills and humour doesn't match English. Then, at the top, of course, hotboxing with Tyson
What a life? He is unieck. He's right to say speak up about depression. The second I spoke to someone they started wanting to take me places. It did feel good. All I would say is people think they don't deserve to be around and all it is, is the brain needing charging.
