Well ... maybe people thinks the new songs are "generic" cause, others lyrics of VAMPS have more complicated ideas in the background, the lyrics of new album they're all positive and simple, like "GET UP!! LET'S FIGTH THE WORLD! "Or" BREAK FREE !! BE YOURSELF! " Or "COME ON !! THE NIGHT IS OURS! LET'S ENJOY" the sound have to be simple for combine with this idea, songs like "Bleed for me", "Sin in Justice" or "In this Hell" are different, they have a negative background (I fucking love HYDE's negatives lyrics

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this particular song is generic, because let's face it... It is. I don't give a damn about VAMPS trying to look like Six AM or whatever they're called, but Calling/Inside Of Me/Ride Or Die are just so generic in the same way that Lips is. Of course they'll do that because songs like My First Last, Vampire's Love, or Sweet Dreams won't resonate with the western audiences... But they definitely are capable of doing generic/sounds like every other American band and still sound great, see Ahead/Dammed/Revolution.
To tell you the truth, I have never liked the singles of VAMPS, the songs that I love are those that are in the albums, it has always been like the singles that come out are something generic, like Inside of me, but Calling is one of the few singles that i really like.

Honestly the whole idea of bands 'selling out' is complete shit. Bands grow over the years and try different things, that's just how it is. Just imagine how stifling it would be to be doing the same shit album after album. Props to VAMPS for continuing to make great music.
pues esta banda es agradable al oido pero como muchos dicen, "sin identidad" se que vamps esta enfocado en la escena musical internacional pero se esta desviando de su esencia, no es por nada pero tienen mejores canciones como HEAD O REPLAY (lo digo porque no soy fan desde hace mucho tiempo mas o menos hac 2 años los empece a oir y ni siquiera he escuchado L´Arc-en-Ciel), incluso SIN IN JUSTICE me gusto muchisimo mas pero igual, buena canción me gusto pero ya no es lo mismo

Yo empecé a escuchar a L´Arc-en-Ciel hace más de 10 años y a VAMPS desde que empezó, pero a pesar de que me gusta más el estilo de L'Arc, entiendo perfectamente que Hyde quiera llegar al mercado internacional y gracias a esto he podido asistir a los 2 conciertos de VAMPS que se han hecho en mi país y escuchar su voz en vivo. :D
When I met to Vamps, I loved it !! These guys are great, as their lyrics and the great energy of theirs live performances !!, but, also I´m a fan of L'Arc en Ciel, because the most of their lyrics are beautiful !!, and these songs highlight the beautiful and great voice of Hyde....
jajaja supongo que en realidad se trata de oído de cada quien, me gusto mucho Replay, pero para nada Ahead (la que menos me gusto, me pareció una canción genérica de Jrock me imaginaba una banda VK tocándola), me agrada ver la opinión de alguien que no es Team L'Arc, creo que los que están aquí por VAMPS y no por HYDE tienen argumentos mas imparciales, (yo soy fan de ambas bandas) a mi Calling me gusto mucho, creo que la letra tiene un mensaje sencillo, no es profundo como son mis letras favoritas de VAMPS, pero esta bien escrito, me molesta mucho cuando escribe canciones con mensajes muy profundos pero mal traducidos (como en SECRET IN MY HEART) mejor algo sencillo pero bien hecho, pero una de mis cosas favoritas fue la música, es completamente una revolución del estilo habitual de KAZ que ya estaba empezando a aburrirme un poco, creo que ahora es mucho mas energético intenso y sobre todo variado, la verdad UNDERWORLD me sorprendió, no tenia muchas expectativas sobre el pues Inside of Me no me fascino, pero las demás canciones me sorprendieron para bien.

It's a good pop song, but I think Vamps lost his identity on the way to seeking success in the American market.
It is just another song, totally forgettable
They still haven't released their "Underworld" album. And they tend to release songs that are more targeted at the Japanese people than they are at overseas countries, which is why songs like Vampire's Love and Inside of Me were well-received by their japanese audiences.
It's honestly tiring to see people say how "they lost their identity" every single time they release a new song; They have been saying that ever since Hyde started his solo project, then when he released his "Faith" album, then when he started VAMPS, and now every time they release a new song.
It's fine if you don't like all of their songs, I don't like some of them either, but blaming them and repeating the same things that people have been saying for over a decade now is just getting old.
Mmm ... As a fan of music I liked Vamps as a band, Bloodsuckers was a good album, but there is a strong contradiction between the base sound of the band and their new songs.
And It is not about musical evolution, it is about loss of identity. There is no deep content in their lyrics or sound, there is only a superficial content or concept....is just not rocking anymore,they just POP.....
I've been a fan of Hyde and L'arc~en~Ciel since 2004, and people have been repeating the same thing about Hyde about how he's not "the same anymore" or how he "ran out of inspiration", every single time he releases a new song.
I remember when people blamed Hyde's solo project for the supposed "drop in quality" in L'arc's songs. I remember when people blamed his Faith album (which included a lot of songs in English) for the supposed "drop in quality" in Hyde's own songs. I remember when people blamed VAMPS and K.A.Z for the lack of new L'arc albums, and now people are blaming him again for the things they don't like.
Again, it's perfectly fine if you don't like some of their songs, I personally don't like some of his songs either, but to constantly repeat how "they lost their identity", every single time they release a new song is just tiring.
Just because you didn't like something new that they made doesn't mean it's their fault or that they're "losing their identity", you simply didn't like that song.
I'm sorry if this may seem disrespectful to you, but honestly I'm not interested in Hyde, I just enjoy the music, this is not a Rock sound like the origin of Vamps. Guitars and drums look like a simple ornament, not a sound base.
The song turns to a vocalization lacking in strength and too melodious (pop). It has no personality.
It sounds cute, but just listen to it a couple of times to get bored.
It consumes fast and is forgotten.Maybe there is better songs in the album.....-_-
Then it's honestly your fault for expecting VAMPS to remain the same and always make Rock songs. If you knew anything about them, and now I realise you don't, you'll understand they write songs not to remain in a single genre, but because they want to have a good time making the music they want to make.
Even Hyde's first solo song wasn't a Rock song, it was an acoustic ballad, and most of his songs afterwards were pop songs too, so this being a pop song is nothing new.
If you thought VAMPS "identity" was to only make Rock songs then you were mistaken this whole time.
Again, you were blaming them for something that was on you.
