We are very excited and honored to be one of two dealers in the US selling Martin Böhme's tremendous instruments. I was first hipped to this brand by my friend Mike Rodriguez (one of the world's finest trumpeters and a huge inspiration to me). As most know I'm a "bit" of a gearhead when it comes to what's out there in the world of brass and this horn really surprised me.
What's not to love?
Satin Matte lacquer (well actually I'm not a huge fan of this finish)
MAW block
Beautiful Bell with large bell throat
Rounded reversed tuning slide
Amazing curves
And WOW the playability!
Would I take this on an orchestral gig? No. As you can hear I can still get through the Ballerina's Dance from Petrushka or the 2nd movement of the Haydn Trumpet Concerto but this horn just wants to speak improvised music!
Need a horn that will light up as well? Have no fears this one will do that too!
This is a permanent horn for our shop inventory here at www.austincustombrass.biz for anyone who wants to try it out but I am adding it to my own personal quiver. It fits perfectly in between my two primary Adams instruments (A1v2 and www.austincust...) that I just knew I needed to add it to the collection.
What am I using for mouthpieces on this? An ACB/Schagerl Apredato 1c in gold plate (yeah gold! it's not burning my lips recently... which is very exciting!) and the ACB L3+ (www.austincust...)
Most of Martin's horns are built to order and you can literally build your own DREAM Tumultus here:

I own one since few months, that's my favorite trumpet of my collection.
Trent, this horn sounds and looks amazing, the fast lines with 🎉he commercial mpc was so clean holy smokes!
Thanks!
Amazing! Always great to watch your videos! 🎺
This seems like an incredible horn!! I think I played on one similar when I was at the shop this summer.
Nice Trumpet, My Dream😉👌👌👌
Beautiful playing, Trent!
Thanks! It's an easy horn to fall in love with!
❤ great sounding. Very rounded .Cornetish* style ..
Btw you had a ribon mic you use to record with . It had the best sound samples i think
Beautiful sound!
I really like sound you get on this horn. I’m like you, the finish is not very high on my list. I do love the sound. You didn’t say how easy it blew so I assume it is pretty easy blowing. Keep up with these great show and tell UA-cams.
it's one of the smoothest playing horns I have tried... and I have tried "a few".
Thanks for watching!
Hi Trent, Is there a Tumultus that can produce a bright sound similar to Bobby Hacket's tone when he played for Jackie Gleason or Billy Butterfield's very similar mellow tone?
I am very surprised that the bright trumpet tone gets very little attention in trumpet discussions.
Nice horn. Don’t often see the Conn style point-to-point bracing. How does that effect the sound on a trumpet? Adams decided not to use them on the A6. Thanks for the amazing demonstration.
This one’s gonna be good!
Such a big sound you have with the conbination of the heavy 1c and Tumultus ... sounds great
Thank you! First gig on this setup tonight. Fingers crossed!
I understand your business now, but how do you NOT still play at least semi-Pro, even with your time consuming business? You are by far the best playing "trumpet builder/seller/etc" out there Trent!
I still play. Played Friday night. I also perform with the KCJO, sub with the KC symphony, and still do guest artist concerts/clinics throughout the world. The shop is my top priority of course but I am still pretty active as a musician.
@@austincustom Oh wow...I had no clue you could fit that in with all the time you spend on your business. Can you post a link to any performances? Or do you have a different channel for that kind of content? Or are these just not venues where people film/record? I mean.... It's cool to hear you "play around" when demoing a horn, but would be cool to see you playing in a natural setting too.
@@austincustom I just subbed to the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra UA-cam channel
If you are in the KC area I'm playing Corvino 9/24 and then with the KCJO 9/30
Are you serious? With a 1C?? Amazing (and I mean you as much as the horn!)
I love my Tumultus. I learned a tough lesson. Do not store your trumpet stand in the bell when putting it in the case!! The L bell is larger than most horns and the stand moves around causing small dents.
Hy. Ore question . Is this the Large Bell? I know Martin has M L And XL Bell. Thank YOU.
Large bell in yellow brass
@@austincustom Thank you very much. I just ordered one with medium bell. I will use it in orchestra also and Martin recommended the M bell. 👍. Thank you. Slotting, resistance and timbral colour are top notch, right?
Incredible
As good as you song by that horn you better keep it for your own
I loved how it sounded but I have a great collection of horns already ;-)
