If I didn't already play trumpet, that sound would make me want to start. The clarity in all ranges is really special. Absolutely gorgeous.

I had the honor playing with Eric in High school back in the late 70's and he was a AWESOME trumpet player! He had all kinds of M.F. horns in his collection!

It sounds terrific. By that, I really mean YOU sound terrific! I think you should record all your videos in that room. It really helps the presentation, and does not take away from the authentic sound of the instrument.

I have never known any musical instrument from Yamaha to be less than excellent.

My mid 70's YEP-321 is quite poor. Won't play in tune with any mouthpiece and has valve slides that are too long. Low C is so flat it's actually a B. Tone color is boring and inflexible, and dynamic range is limited. I've played Chinese instruments that absolutely blew it out of the water. Yamaha has improved a lot in the last 50 years.

I love that you are playing on the MV3C...still my favorite mouthpiece! I think I've been playing on it for 4-5 years and still love it. I'm waiting for my 11 year old to NEED a pro horn so that I can give him my Gen 1 8335 Xeno and upgrade myself...maybe to this 8330EM

You sound great Trent! I tried a friend’s one of these and I loved it! It’s the only horn I’ve tried that feels like and is as easy blowing as my Kanstul French Besson Meha. The EM is definitely a great horn.

Trent, you sound great on all of the horns you pick up. Have to say though, this one sounds special.

Thank you for the review, i can hear that is superior to the 8340 EM , flash action,. Back to saving pennies, i like the 8335LA ll and his GR mouthpieces , but that lower sound ( like an easy flumpet tone )hooked me up that thank to you Master.

I tried one here in Japan (hard to find even here at the moment) and actually liked the new Bergeron a little better. Both are very fine trumpets.

How does the 8330 compare to the Warburton CF horn. I have the CF on order from Terry and I've owned the 1st gen 8340 and loved that horn.

Does it have a 3rd slide water key? Or is it like what strads have?
