TL;DR: Game improves upon it's predecesor, but it doesn't really do anything new or exciting. There was no reason to delay this game as much if nothing was changed from KR version. If you look at the predecessor of TL, Lineage 2, you will see major improvements in that formula. Combat for once it is less static, some skills will give you a combo mechanic. You can move while using most skills. Then gear enhancement, there's no chance for the gear to blow up and there's no chance of failure. Only how much you succeed. The world is very beautiful and you can tell each zone has it's own identity. Now the main issue is the lack of excitement. The first time I logged into this game, the world did captivate me, but the combat is something I already knew. As mentioned in the stream, this is very close to GW2 combat. I didn't see loot dropping from monsters, but I know at some point it did, just not a very high chance. The dungeons are not solo friendly and since you can PvP in there, I don't imagine you would fare well alone vs a group of people. The tower thing is alright, but it's not super challenging either. Now my main grievance is if we didn't get this game sooner. Nothing was changed from the KR version and the game had it's English translation done for some time now.
G2 combat is way bettern then TLs its basicly just take the 2 most obvios combinations and then run the rng train to level your skills . There isnt realy anything telling you omg its so amazing i want to spend money and time in this game with the pvp focuse as well it will be so cancer to play against giga spenders .

It felt like playing L2 and Aion all over again and I think TL is gonna feel like the golden days of L2 for a bit, which can be good for some people but to me it isn't as I'm not 12 anymore and I think most people also changed. NCsoft is targeting the old MMO audience without realising that MMO players changed
If there's any consolation for this game, is that it won't be the biggest flop MMO published by Amazon, considering they bought the rights to Blue Protocol as well

Not to mention that for an open world game you can barely do anything on the map. on BDO & New World you can explore the areas around you climb mountains, etc. in TL you cant even climb a rock unless there is a grabbling hook for it. It makes the world feel so boring and empty. on top of this, most of the time you spam 3-4 skills and then you have to auto attack for 12 seconds until your spells get get off cooldown, this feels very "mobile mmorpg" like , and it really makes the game feel cheap. The game's open beta launch on steam only managed to attrack around 60k players, which at the moment of me writing this is down to 33k players. This is very alarming considering this game was the next AAA MMORPG that people are hyped about. I dont expect this game to touch the player numbers of both New World and Lost Ark (close to 1mil). Around 150-200k at launch and then down to around 20-30k within the 1st month is my guess.
Right now the peak from early accsess players was about 60K on steam lets see what happens if it's out on 1th october for everyone but this game will die fast in 1-2 months i rather stick with WoW or GW2 maybe ashe of creation is gonna be a good new mmo 😂

I don't know what the new skill system that you're talking about is like, but the combat in this game is awful for today's standards. Even for an MMO. It really needs an upgrade in that aspect. There's good elements in this game, but for a lot of people combat is what matters the most. Also, this is a freaking "first impressions" video, not a review. Stop whining. Most people seem to agree with everything she's saying, I actually downloaded the beta just because I saw her playing it and my experience with it was awful, so trust me bro, if people are disliking this game it's because they tried the open beta and not because "professional content creators" failed to tell them that the game has a "clean fully customizable UI".

The game is OK so far for me. The network problems suck tho. It’s expected I guess. I hope AMZ actually improves the network at launch.
