The 22 dollar apple peeler can be adjusted. There's a nut on the side where it peels the skin off, that you can move depending on how big your apple is. That way the peel saves more apple
Dave's green "carrot sharpener" from Singapore is actually a budget spiralizer. We have one at home and its so handy to make courgetti without spending too much on a bigger gadget we wouldn't use enough. Pretty clever in my book 😊
I have one that looks like a peeler and I find it far more convenient that the pencil sharpener shape personally. I find it convenient for getting small strands of carrot to use in a salad or as a side. We got it in a bundle with a few various thickness cuts. Not a "spiraliser" and more a "long thin cutter" but same appearance at the end tbh. I love it and we got it super cheap online!

They've got one of the manual apple peeler/slicers in my primary school canteen. They sell "Apple Slinkies" as one of the cheapest items to encourage healthy eating through fun.
That makes me happy :) Back in my day, there was a literal candy room (manned by one yard duty at a time) that would open EVERY recess & be swarmed like the candy shop in Willy Wonka. They'd sell us everything from corn nuts to now & laters... I remember buying singular now & laters for 25 cents a piece... In hindsight, they were really ripping us off 😂🙈 How you gonna take a 2nd graders measley allowance $$ like that?! My mom has an old apple peeler like that from the 80s or 90s? and I love it so much. It has a clamp 🗜 to clamp onto the edge of a countertop or table, rather than a suction cup; and the thickness of the spiral is adjustable. So much more fun than a mixer attachment

I have one of those apple corers/slicer/peelers and I love it. Mine however was $40 (Canadian) retail and is cast iron. The suction is amazing, and never pops off the counter. Just a heads up that you can adjust the depth of the peeler so it will not remove so much apple (or at least you can on mine), and the slicer is also optional. I own a KitchenAid, but would never pay $125 for that attachment when my $40 unit works so well. This is coming from someone who peels dozens of apples every year for many, many bottles of preserves. So I guess I have to say that while your gadget might not have worked as well, I have to give the idea as a whole a clever 😀
I could have peeled 4 apples in the time it took to load on an apple and use these machines. Maybe it would be useful if you had to do a lot of peeling but otherwise, both of those tools look more like time wasters...at least for a few apples.

I use mine (ancient one from my grandmother, doesn't have a suction cup, has a clamp instead) to make lovely apple tarts and pies yes, it's really old "technology"
Bluebelle51 technology is actually anything that improves quality of life and/or makes life easier An example is clothing and it can be considered technology because it improves life by making it so we don’t freeze to death. So yes your cutter is technology even if it might not seem like it ;)
Goodness, I’ve only been subscribed for about a year and a half, but your videos are so joyous and relaxing to watch. I usually do not go back and watch older videos on accounts, but your video’s are just a nice watch.
Growing up, our apple peeler slicer corer had a clamp, not a suction cup. Clamp it to the edge of your table and it was rock solid! It also had an adjustable peeler piece. It was always the kids' jobs to crank it (for pies, dried apple, crips, etc.) and it was loads of fun.
I liked the rice cube best. The cell phone thing is a fan because Asian countries are so bloody hot. Also the name of the store is pronounced Die so lol. Not day so.
Honestly the little fan is a LIFESAVER! I’m disabled and first found one in a petrol station almost 10 years ago and have been obsessed with them since. It’s GREAT for someone like me who’s disabled and can’t regulate their temperature. They’re so worth the cost. And if you use them with a water spray they’re AMAZING!
I know that this video is pretty old but I don't think that anyone has commented this yet. The veggie shredder/spiralizer that Dave brought back from Singapore seems like it is made for particularly asian cuisine in mind. In a lot of asian countries there are often many side dishes at meals, especially dinner. I know that in particular Vietnamese cuisine and many Chinese cuisines there is a side dish that is very similar to coleslaw but instead of cabbage it is pickled shredded carrot and radish.
When I was in primary school, we had one of those slinky apple gizmos in every classroom and we would have a fruit break before recess where you could slinkify your own apple
When I was in primary school, I was apart of the student council. We sold apple slinkys as our fundraiser once a week. Previous years use to sell soft drink, but come our year the school wanted a healthier option. Mind you, we didn't make as much money as previous years.
I live in Australia and when we were in primary school, at morning tea (fruit break) we would take an apple that mum packed from home down to the tuck shop and our wonderful tuckshop lady would put them through the apple slinky machine. So we got a little exercise and escape from the classroom and a fun apple. I love that gadget, it reminds me of my childhood 🥰🥰 Ps, you can shift the peeler so your apple slinky has it's peel on👍👌
+Nillie Well, it isn't going to be heated so there's much less risk, and if they're made for young kids or toddlers to play with then they should be safe enough as far as not containing things like lead. But you could also check out chocolate moulds and fancy ice cube trays and things like that.
I've had a kitchenaid mixer for almost 5 years and only found out there were such things as attachments to it like a week ago and now that I saw you using it I really want to buy all of them hahaha
The peeler you have actually makes vegetable spaghetti, for those on diets and stuff. We have one, it's pretty good with squash😁 And the little bear press you had that made the little rice bear with the face press, the face press is supposed to be used with meat (thin cut spam or lunch meat) it cuts that really well
Those ice cream makers are honestly pretty good for making healthy sorbet-style ice cream; they just don't properly advertise how to use them: Don't just put in frozen fruit. Alternate between frozen and soft fruit to ensure the outcome isn't too icy. Best way to do this is to get your frozen fruit, separate it into 2 bowls, a 3/4 and 1/4 split. Microwave the 1/4 fruit bowl for around 20 seconds to soften it a bit (you don't want it hot, just softer) - or use fresh fruit instead of this 1/4. As you are feeding in fruit, adjust the amount you are putting in of the harder and softer fruit to get a nicer texture of the output. Also, make sure you fill the tube to the top and keep pushing down with the handle very hard, and continue to top it up until you have enough ice cream. Finally - don't freeze it to save for another day, just make enough for one sitting (it freezes far too hard).
As much as I enjoy the videos where you debunk those "hack" videos, THIS is why I come here. No matter how old the videos are by the time I see them, I am never disappointed in these Clever or Never videos!
The carrot thing is actually clever in that part of the world. When I lived in China, a lot of dishes where I lived had carrots cut in these very small strips. It's nothing that's common in western cuisine, but in Singapore or some parts of China (etc) it might be useful

I use mine (ancient one from my grandmother, doesn't have a suction cup, has a clamp instead) to make lovely apple tarts and pies
yes, it's really old "technology"
Bluebelle51 technology is actually anything that improves quality of life and/or makes life easier
An example is clothing and it can be considered technology because it improves life by making it so we don’t freeze to death.
So yes your cutter is technology even if it might not seem like it ;)
UnlikePaladin98
so chairs are also technology, they are, but it doesnt feel right
finally! More clever or never!!!!!
OI VLOGS more cleaver or never
Goodness, I’ve only been subscribed for about a year and a half, but your videos are so joyous and relaxing to watch.
"Proudly made in the OO ESS AYE"
Dave is so adorable putting emphasis on cute items and you two are just too cute.
Most rice shapers are usually for omusubi, onigiri, bento, and curry rice. Things like that.
I don't know how I missed these videos all these years, but I got them now and loving them. Now off to find a rice cube thingy. Thanx....I think. 😁
As a grown adult, I was thoroughly entertained watching two grown adults play with rice.
Such a sweet couple ❤️
7:29 Ann makes James disappear in her pocket dimension for 20 seconds
I liked the rice cube best. The cell phone thing is a fan because Asian countries are so bloody hot. Also the name of the store is pronounced Die so lol. Not day so.
Dave in the house🙌 Love you two together! Most useful the apple peeler attachment on the Oster👍
It was so funny when Ann was playing with the oven mitt and singing the duck song!
you guys are so cute together 😁
The carrot Sharpener would be cool here in Brazil, my mom always do carrot salad with carrots like these (those?)
Gustavo Ferreira Bezerra , finalmente um brasileiro!
Gustavo Ferreira Bezerra (my mom always does), (those).
Or just a grater, no?
Its cute and funny how ann was playing with the gadgets when dave walked away
I know that this video is pretty old but I don't think that anyone has commented this yet. The veggie shredder/spiralizer that Dave brought back from Singapore seems like it is made for particularly asian cuisine in mind. In a lot of asian countries there are often many side dishes at meals, especially dinner. I know that in particular Vietnamese cuisine and many Chinese cuisines there is a side dish that is very similar to coleslaw but instead of cabbage it is pickled shredded carrot and radish.
I LOVE how quickly you crack on with the video, no long intro and outros 😍 so rare
‘Slinkify’ lol
What a great way to get kids to eat more fruits!
I love this series!!!
Finelly
aha! Thank you, Dave thought it was from Africa somewhere but I thought it was Italian. Thanks for enlightening us 😊
Love the duck-mitt! Also love how Ann turns it into a puppet
I live in Australia and when we were in primary school, at morning tea (fruit break) we would take an apple that mum packed from home down to the tuck shop and our wonderful tuckshop lady would put them through the apple slinky machine. So we got a little exercise and escape from the classroom and a fun apple.
I love that gadget, it reminds me of my childhood 🥰🥰
Ps, you can shift the peeler so your apple slinky has it's peel on👍👌
Thank you for this, you both warm my heart and I enjoyed this video.
Dave seems like such a great guy and dad!
he is 💕
How To Cook That aw adorable! Thank you for taking the time to reply, have a wonderful day 😊💖
The teddy bear is cute, but it looks like you could just buy similar dollar store sandbox toys and use them for rice instead of sand.
junbh2
I’m not sure how food-safe those sand moulds are, since they aren’t expected to be used with food.
I was thinking of checking out Daiso for that.
+Nillie Well, it isn't going to be heated so there's much less risk, and if they're made for young kids or toddlers to play with then they should be safe enough as far as not containing things like lead. But you could also check out chocolate moulds and fancy ice cube trays and things like that.
Plastic wrap would make them perfectly safe and would make the rice come out easy
I've had a kitchenaid mixer for almost 5 years and only found out there were such things as attachments to it like a week ago and now that I saw you using it I really want to buy all of them hahaha
You’re making that look so good , you should start a cooking channel!! I love THEM
you can really feel the love between these two in their interactions
the cutter u have for the sushi face, is for something like jam, and if u want to cut the nori, u should do it in a sponge like texture,.
Yaaay this series is baack😄💙 Loove you Ann😄
Ok but why did I find that sushi cube and ball so satisfying
I have watched all if Ann Reardon’s videos multiple time. What do I do now 😂
Her channel is so interesting that you want more and more
This channel has become my happy place! Thank you Ann and Dave for you cheerful and informative content 🤗
This is so interesting to watch, I like watching people try out gadgets!
In love with this series
Edit : thank you for the 💓 ann!!!
I'm in the US and I want that Rice Cube so bad, I gotta know where to get one!
So happy I discovered your channel. You are such lovely people, your vids have really been cheering me up! Thank you😊!
The peeler you have actually makes vegetable spaghetti, for those on diets and stuff. We have one, it's pretty good with squash😁
And the little bear press you had that made the little rice bear with the face press, the face press is supposed to be used with meat (thin cut spam or lunch meat) it cuts that really well
I absolutely LOVE how Dave is wearing a hat and winter coat while he's inside, that's 100% me.
Same 😂
Those ice cream makers are honestly pretty good for making healthy sorbet-style ice cream; they just don't properly advertise how to use them:
Don't just put in frozen fruit.
It's like watching two cute kids playing together 😂 just kidding. Love your videos ❤️
In western cuisine we grate carots, like cheese.
