    I love this tent! I have had it for about a month. Lightweight, easy to put up, take down and perfect for a backpacker like myself. I don't even use the ground cloth. Best buy i have made in a long time

      Hey Steve I was thinking of using it without the footprint too, so did any water seep in through the floor? It does have that one seam in the floor...

      He covered it SUPER well. I'm in the PNW, I just got back from a night in the upper 30s, raining all night and I had zero issues with the tent. Highly recommend it. I'm 5'10/185lbs and was pretty easily able to store my 60L rucksack in the tent overnight as well.

    Thank you for your honest review. I just got this tent for bikepacking and RAGBRAI this year. Been using the 1 and 2-person REI tents in past years and they've served their purposes and held their own but it's the weight and size that led me to look for a 2-person tent that won't take up too much space on my bike and this tent "fits the bill" granted an expensive one lol but you do get what you pay for. While I'm not a bigger person like yourself, I appreciate you throwing that into your video so I'd have a better picture on the size of this tent. Haven't put up the tent yet since Iowa weather hasn't been cooperating and though we've had warm days, they've been mostly windy and work schedules have prevented me from testing the tent out but Spring is here and I have some bikepacking days on my calendar in April. Can't wait to get out there and test the tent out.

    Hey, I appreciate the great real-life review of this tent, as opposed to the ReviewTubers who just tell about the features. I live in Arizona, so I typically camp in the desert, as well as the mountains to the north. Count me in for a Like, and as a new subscriber. I am going to pull the trigger on this tent when I get paid in a few days.

      The tent with the tensor is a perfect match for 1 person and gear inside. I have just went on the Appalachian trail with it for about a week. Went to the Appalachian trail kickoff and hiked from Unicoi gap back tonspringer with it. Then i have went out a couple more times and actually just came back yesterday from an overnighter lol. If your ever around northeast tn let me know, we can do a hike. Don't need to make a video, just enjoy the outdoors. Very good review btw

    Wow easily the most comprehensive tent review ever, complete with real time rain report! Thank you!
    I'm wondering if since you made this video, if you've used it without the footprint, and if moisture seeped in anywhere?
    Thanks again for a lot of information very well presented.

    • @blueridgefamilyoutdoors
      @blueridgefamilyoutdoors  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the comment! I have not used it without the footprint. Mainly because I typically only make shirt overnight hikes, and the extra weight of the foorltprint is not a concern. But I wouldn't be afraid to leave it behind should I go on a milti-day hike. I've seen reviews where others don't use the footprint, and it's fine. It's a peace of mind thing for me more than anything. Thanks for watching!

    Having less stakes is not necessarily a better thing, specially under windy conditions. I rather have more stakes on a tent than less. I’m wonder people have some experiences to share caping in windy mountain conditions with this tent.
