The spouse has H1B & his I40 applied by previous employer. Now I will be obliged if you give me tips for these! As u said she get bored immediately. She had nice job here but no job there. 1) she has qualification of fashion designer from NIFT. But she switched to job of graphic designer & finally to UI/UX designer & has about ttl 5 years experience including both. 4 years in latter. Now what are her options later after EAD. Also qualification is different & experience is different. Secondly what are the options of any online/ offline course of shorter duration to help her later. Will be indebted to u if u reply. Here or any mail etc I can provide. Will follow on insta also

That's a very gray area honestly. If she is not monetizing it then yes she can. . If she is then ideally she shouldn't. But if she does and gets flagged then it could be an issue. I would wait for the EAD if it's not urgent.
Hello!!! I have a query- I want to know whether H4 visa holders can work as a volunteer (no salary) with an employer who is not “non-profit.” As the Google says, “H4 visa can work only on non-profit organizations.” Please advise.
Legally you can only work for non profits. If you volunteer for a profit company then that means you're doing something for free that company should ideally hire someone for. However, if the company has advertised the job as a volunteer opportunity (not as an intern or anything else) then it's a grey area.
You need an SSN when you start working. On H4 unless you get your EAD, you can't work and therefore no SSN. When you are eligible to apply for EAD you can also apply for a SSN.
