Awesome, Dr. Gretchen! Hope you had a fabulous birthday!!
    • Those bases sure make the difference!
    • Great reminder on wrist and top of cane
    • Adjusting the height and getting used to - worth the effort vs contributing to dowager's
    • I have a drugstore quad cane that I adorn with white flashing lights at times - Fun!
    • Prioritizing devices is important if insurance covers one per 4-5 years - (I have to choose carefully)
    • Practicing with rollator beats the alternative (tennis elbow for months)
(Green with envy that you can open a window - it's too warm in Florida)

Don't forget heel height of shoes (especially women) when measuring walking aid height. You do not usually walk outside with bare feet!

Thank you Dr Gretchen. Do you measure and use walking sticks/trekking poles as you do a cane? Thanks!

Try to make this as a power wheel chair also and see the turn over.

Does anyone have recommendations for the rollator that can be used as a wheelchair? I'm looking to buy one, but want input before I do. Thanks

Have you heard of Zeen? This may be an option that could work for you.

The ultralight has a seat, too. It just doesn't look like all the other seats. It's a hammock like canvas seat, with no back rest. Back rest's can be purchased for your rollator. They are on their website along with plenty of additional attachment's and accessories. And they come in so many different colors.
I purchased mine because I have a lower back injury and am only able to lift about 10lbs without horrifc pain.
I have to say that I absolutely love it.
It's sleek in style, innovative, and rugged /sturdier than I thought it would be.
I ran over part of mine with my Volvo XC60 the day before surgery. (It's totally my fault, as I had it parked next to my rear door while I was doing something inside the car.) I forgot that it was out there and when a closer parking spot opened up, I decided to try and snag it. Forgetting all about my rollator parked right next to me. Well, I heard a terrible crunching noise and saw my rollator flying up and into the air at about my front tire line.
    🙂😲😳😱🫣🤪
    I panicked!
I jumped out to take a peek, and not only did I take out a wheel on my rollator, it dented the heck out of my front quarter pannel above the tire. Even left some rollator rubber skid marks on my car. 🤨🤔🙄
The moral of this not so little story is that all that broke was the plastic of one of my rear wheels on that thing. It broke into about 30 little pieces, but that and a little scuff to a rubber bumper is all the damage that my 10.5lbs rollator took.
I contacted byAcre and ordered a new wheel, replaced it, and it's vitually good as new. I can not say the same for my Volvo, however.
If you have any doubts about the price, don't. It's well worth the price for the ease of use and the sheer strength of it.
Im so glad that I purchased this one and not one of the typical flimsy regular walkers that are available. My father broke his run of the mill walker while sitting on it and rolling around.
Best regards, and may you have safe journeys, everyone.
I hope that my story has helped you out or put a smile on your face. Either way, I'm happy. ✌🏼🫶🏼🖖🏼

Gosh, I had such a flaky cycle before menopause, I couldn't tell you, personally. Seems that our exercise and food choices make a difference for me though. ☺
