I had one, two door, coupe, 360 V8. Green interior, green vinyl top. Tan paint. It was five years old 39,000 miles when I bought it for 900$. Wish I still had it!
I own a '76 Gran Fury with 440 V8, ex-Fla. Hwy. Patrol car. Got hit in back end by a new Cadillac CTS about a year ago now. It tore the front clip off that Caddy, barely scratched my rear bumper.
I was addicted to cars as a kid. My father got a company car every second year. I got to choose colors for 2 cars before. For 1974 he allowed me a small options budget. I loved the 73 Fury and the Plymouth dealer was our first stop. Saw the 74s and left. 1973 Fury was a beautiful car. Ended up with a 74 Impala
The 74 Dodge Monaco and Plymouth Fury are the two most favorite cars I have on the entire planet.....but I do own a 72 Plymouth Fury too. the 74 Impala is one of the Fuglyest Impalas ever made. I did own a 68 and 76 Impala, but the 74 is just pure ugly
I think the best looking Fury ever. Dad had a 69 Fury III. It was a tank. But in its price class. It beat the Catalina and Impala. Clock standard. Center armrest. Not an option for Pontiac or Chevy. It had more inside room than the other two. Better warranty , 5 years 50,000 miles. I am a Pontiac guy, but Fury was ahead. Beautiful dashboard. Floodlights lite up it all.
My parents rented a 1973 Fury four door when we vacationed in San Francisco that year. It was yellow and I think it had a white vinyl top. I remember thinking how huge it was inside compared to our family car, a 1968 Ford Mustang. While we were at the airport, they were filming an episode of Mannix.
Mine was 9 years old when I bought it, ran great. I was the 2nd owner and the people who owned it kept great records. It had nothing but ordinary things, tires, oil changes etc. Man, I loved that car.

Automobiles had character then. Now car lots have mostly SUV's. Ugly!
in 73 I worked on a chrysler / plymouth lot washing cars. And I loved them all.
