I agree 100%. I grew up on mostly heavy metal and classic rock but I also have an appreciation for pop rock, country music, and the old R&B. Hearing Olivia Newton-John's songs brings back so many awesome memories of my childhood. I hope and pray she has a speedy recovery from this dreadful disease.
This is a FIRE performance and a NUMBER 1 hit! It was on the charts forever. So glad to hear that a new generation can appreciate the massive talent that she was, no auto-tune just natural talent! I had the great pleasure of meeting her at a cocktail party 11 years ago. So lovely, so beautiful and so down to earth! RIP to this angel among us, for way too brief a time!!! She sold 100 MILLION albums!
Olivia was my high school and college celebrity crush. Wore a t shirt of her all through law school. My dreams finally came true. Went to her concert & had front row seats. Before the show, I met her. She signed my If You Love Me Let Me Know album cover (1974), she took a picture with me (my wife took the picture!), and I hugged & thanked her for her kindness and joy she brought in my life. ONJ is a legend & icon of my time. Sadly, now she is in stage 4 breast cancer & she decided to stop receiving chemotherapy treatment. Not looking forward to the day that I hear she has left us. The world will truly be less brighter. But Heaven will have one more Angel. Remember, I HONESTLY LOVE YOU. God bless you, Liv.
This is a song from a great little move called Xanadu. Staring ONJ. I must have watched it a thousand times in my teens. That movie is magic. Also your peeps are not steering you wrong. I honestly love you is a beautiful song.
You three are the first people I ever heard say that about Xanadu! lol. The soundtrack was great but even ELO and The Tubes could not save this film. It was so horrible it is said to have inspired The Golden Raspberry Awards. Peace!
jacksprat418 lol. Well it wasn’t the best movie ever made. But it was charming and for a teenage girl in the 80’s, it was just fun. And you know 80’s girls just wanted to have fun.
I feel in love with Olivia Newton-John in 1983 after watching Xanadu for the first time; I was 8 years old and became instantly memorized by her voice. To this day, her attitude and talent are things that I enjoy. Looking at me someone would probably never guess that I routinely have her music in my playlist (long-haired, tattooed, death metal drummer here lol), but you can never judge a book by its' cover.
My best friend and I saw that movie in the fall of 1980. We stayed in the theater for two showings. Then danced and sang walking back home that evening afterwards. Great memories...
This is actually later in her career. By this time she had at least a 2 dozen top 40 hits. You are watching a very seasoned performer here. Also check out the movie "Grease", which starred her and John Travolta. Lots of great music in that movie.
I remember her in the movie xanadu sung one song in the movie with ELO and this song as well. I loved this song since i had been 8 yr old in 1980 still love it to this day.
I was a HUGE fan of hers as a child! She's so beautiful and talented! Please listen to "I Honestly Love You" by Olivia Newton-John, you'll love that one
You can hear it playing on the radio in the background during the beach scene in "Jaws", right before the little Kintner boy gets eaten. Although it may have been a cover by another singer in that scene.
Oh she came out with a lot of sass in this video because she was very near the peak of her career at the time. She was a very popular singer in the mid-1970s, with many pop hits. But just 2 years before this video, she was the lead role in what has become one of the most popular movies of all time (Grease). The following year (1981), she started an entire trend with her hit song and video "Physical", which very well may have jump started the fitness craze.
Olivia is a hell of a singer. would also suggest Xanadu (where she sings with ELO) and Physical. Further interesting note, Magic, and Xanadu are both from the Xanadu sound track, but also Olivia starred in the movie as a Muse name Kira. My parents went to see Xanadu and enjoyed it enough that they later named my sister Kira about 9 years later.
There’s another video of her performing Magic on a similar show from the early ‘80s where she’s wearing a white version of that short jump suit and showing even more of her charm and charisma….breathtaking. RIP, lovely Livi!
Im a HARDCORE metalhead but.... there are some songs from other genres that just have such a effing groove you cant help but to love it. I consider myself lucky to have been born in '71 and got to grow up hearing the best songs from all genres ever recorded.
Olivia had the perfect voice. No doubt about it. She was also the most beautiful woman put on this earth. Saw her in London in 2017. The voice was still there and she still looked great, especially when you consider what she had gone through.
Olivia is one of the very best and this is such an amazing song. It was actually up there with Thriller. M.J. loved Olivia. Prayers to Liv in her brave battle with cancer.
Awesome performer. You should do more reactions from the legendary Midnight Special series. Tons of fantastic live performances to choose from. Nice shirt BTW.
Olivia, Wow what a great singer, voice like an angel, I Love all her songs especially this one, from the movie, Xanadu. Didn’t know she was sick, will be praying for her to get well. 😊❤️🙏🏽
OMG...you should watch the live version of "You're the one that I want" from Grease. ONJ brings John Travolta onstage to sing it(2009)....they are still so awesome together! Such a great video❤
She just auctioned off all her memorabilia (her black outfit from grease alone made $400,000), all proceeds given to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre in Melbourne Australia... She is one top lady.
In 1975, Olivia was on the Dinah Shore show and sang "Have you never been Mellow" and I was STONE COLD IN LOVE!!! I had a Mad crush on her for Several years!!! I saw the movie Grease for the first time in the Theater and I stayed in the Theater and watch the Movie 4 times in a Row, until they kicked me out LOL! I'm sure I've seen this well over 100 times by now! Hard to watch the TV version, cause the cut so much out. Censorship SUX!!!!!
This is from the musical movie Xanadu, one of the cheeziest cult classics ever-- roller disco meets Greek mythology, with a dash of Gene Kelley for fun. You should react to that movie, it makes no sense but is fun as hell.
I had to look up the lyrics to see what she didn't want straying. LOL. ... "Don't let your aim ever stray." ... I think Olivia never looked more stunning than in the movie "Xanadu" and the year after while promoting "Magic" and the other songs from the soundtrack.
India this is from Xanadu ( pronounced Zan a do ) and also the great Gene Kelly, an actor, dancer and singer. Everyone should look him up as he was a GREAT TALENTED man, one of a kind. Enjoy your channel, bringing classic music from the past to today's listeners.
Oh, I liked your presentation and reaction. I also liked how you can speak fast and yet clear enunciation....you must be a rapper. Liked your facial expressions and reactions. I watched this vid oh maybe when I was 18-21, but I still bring it out occasionally, even though I am now 65. I had a fan crush on her always. very nice video you put together!
YOU really need to watch "Xanadu" - this is the FIRST number on the Soundtrack to the Movie Olivia Newton-John is featured in. I had the biggest crush on her and at age 14 thought "Xanadu" was the "coolest movie ever!" Now I laugh at myself for thinking that, but it is still one of my guilty pleasures to watch! You have Olivia Newton-John on the second number "Suddenly" is a duet with Cliff Richards, and then you have "Dancin", a number by the Tubes, then Suspended In Time with Olivia, then a duet with the late Gene Kelley on "Whenever Your Away From Me" and then ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) does the next 4 tracks, including "I'm Alive" which opens the movie, and the finale of "Xanadu" is the only ELO number featuring Olivia's vocals that you will ever hear, never to be repeated again in the history of music! Each of the songs on Xanadu is its own video you can review, as well as the movie itself! Olivia was just HOT in the early 80's from 1980-1982, having already made her mark in Grease in 1978 as Sandy!
This is when Olivia was putting out more of her sexy edge and getting away from the girl next door and wow was it hot! 1979-1980 Olivia was her babe peak and this track is great!
Well, I probably don't need to pile on here. But I'm going to anyway!!! Olivia was so beautiful, talented, down to earth, humble, honest, and soft spoken, and did I mention BEAUTIFUL?? No one like her before, and there will never be another one since. RIP you beautiful lady!
This song was written after the composer got a letter from a mail order astrologer! He lifted the lyrics from the letter! There are several extended mixes and remixes of this version by Olivia for those who want more!
Musically, we were the luckiest generation. Prayers go out to Olivia Newton John for healing now.
Totally agree! I think it's great that this NEW generation is just now discovering this, seeing that they actually like it.
YES!!!

My girl 6 n boy 1 LOVE her already ... they even love KISS... I am so proud of them!
This was my first star struck moment as a child... Always thought she was a goddess... I had the biggest crush on her for 10 years... Rip Olivia.

Olivia, the most beautiful human, inside and out, that ever walked this Earth.
Core lol, that was random!
@@corepuncher susanna hoffs..love her.
Voice of an Angel. When she was releasing hits, there was no other voice like hers!
Saw her in concert in 2012, she still got, a great show to see and hear
Strong lady, been battling cancer for a while now...many prayers for this Icon.
She's always been gorgeous. Love that hair.
Looks like you have been too!
"She is the magic... period" lol, my thoughts exactly, LOVE Olivia
ONJ is a fighter..going thru her 3rd or 4th round with cancer. I love this woman so much!
what a voice and face, she such a heart breaker.
I have believed olivia to be the most beautiful woman to have lived, since I was 10 years old..... She's my crush that never died!!!!
"A Little more Love" is one of my all time favorites of hers.
Ponyboy Curtis Absolutely!

She's been a part of my life forever. My cousin worshipped her and my mom worshipped Elvis so I learned their songs extremely young

Yes i watched it to death when I was a teenager and still do sometimes :D

I forgot how good this song is.
Nice tune! She's been sick with breast cancer. I hope for a full recovery!
Beautiful angelic talented Olivia. Prayers for her battle.
My best friend and I saw that movie in the fall of 1980. We stayed in the theater for two showings. Then danced and sang walking back home that evening afterwards. Great memories...
Olivia Newton-John music ICON!

I want to come back as Olivia Newton-John in my next life please. God she was so gorgeous!
Olivia Newton-John is the love of my musical life. Going to see her and John Travolta together on December 14th. My lifelong dream is coming true. 🥰🥰🥰
Olivia Newton-John was “eye-popping, jaw-dropping, drool-inducing, drop-dead gorgeous”.
Always liked her song A Little More Love
Sweetest voice of the 70's.
I miss people, women especially, just being naturally beautiful 💯 Sometimes less is really more😉

Olivia is and forever will be a Goddess with the voice of an Angel. I miss you girl, we miss you. 💜
RIP Olivia. You were a huge part of my music world in the 70s
Olivia Newton John is my favorite female singer.
There’s another video of her performing Magic on a similar show from the early ‘80s where she’s wearing a white version of that short jump suit and showing even more of her charm and charisma….breathtaking.
RIP, lovely Livi!
INDIA,
You have to do the duet by Olivia Newton John and Cliff Richard's "Suddenly".
I think you will enjoy it.
Thank you!!
There is a live version of Olivia and Steve Real singing Suddenly at the Sydney Opera House. Excellent version.
Im a HARDCORE metalhead but.... there are some songs from other genres that just have such a effing groove you cant help but to love it. I consider myself lucky to have been born in '71 and got to grow up hearing the best songs from all genres ever recorded.
"If You Love Me Let Me Know" -- my favorite.
She was always able to sing and look right at you. That beautiful face and a beautiful, kind sweet lady x RIP Olivia
Olivia had the perfect voice. No doubt about it. She was also the most beautiful woman put on this earth. Saw her in London in 2017. The voice was still there and she still looked great, especially when you consider what she had gone through.
She is fantastic!
Xanadu, pronounced "zah-nah-doo". She also sings the title song. Great soundtrack with her and ELO, and the movie is a bit of a cult classic.
GREAT idea for Ms. India!
Make sure to check her out in Xanadu, as weird as that film is, it has some pretty good music!
The second half of the album was ELO songs written by Jeff Lynne, this was on the other half written by an Aussie guy so wasn't as good.
Olivia is the Magic, period 🌈
I love Olivia. Great reaction.
The most photographed woman on the planet...EVER!
No question why. ❤🤤🤤🤤❤
Olivia, Wow what a great singer, voice like an angel, I Love all her songs especially this one, from the movie, Xanadu. Didn’t know she was sick, will be praying for her to get well. 😊❤️🙏🏽
I always believed she was an introvert, so this kind of her performance was probably out of her comfort zone.
My lifetime idol. Most beautiful woman ever, with a voice to match.
Olivia had a gorgeous voice👍
I was totally obsessed with the movie Xanadu as a kid. The whole soundtrack is good, especially the songs by ELO.
Rest in Peace Olivia! you were so sweet .
For me this song is about following your intuition and your spirit guides.
OMG...you should watch the live version of "You're the one that I want" from Grease. ONJ brings John Travolta onstage to sing it(2009)....they are still so awesome together! Such a great video❤
Her voice is like silk and she is crazy beautiful
She just auctioned off all her memorabilia (her black outfit from grease alone made $400,000), all proceeds given to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre in Melbourne Australia... She is one top lady.

One of my favourite songs EVER! I used to walk around the house singing this when I was little and I still LOVE it
Actress, singer, award winning perfomer.
Cancer survivor, beautiful voice.
My god is Olivia hot here 😅😅😅

I had a crush on her when I was little. She started as a country singer and moved to pop music after being in the movie Grease
I wouldn't care if she couldn't sing a note! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Saw her in concert in 1982 and have a signed picture of her.
The 80’s were the best!!❤️❤️
Magnifique Olivia.
RIP😥❤🙏

Have you ever heard her early things? "If Not For You" or "Let Me Be There"
Daniel Sims Yes! ‘Let Me Be There’ is my favorite of hers. ‘Banks of the Ohio’, ‘Country Roads, Take Me Home’. Love her early music.
She reacted to "Have You Never Been Mellow" back in August:

I was in high school when this came out--still after all these years...WOW!
OH MY GOD! This takes me back! LOVE her!!!
Agreed!! Olivia is the magic!!!
Wow!!! Simply beautiful! So glad I grew up listening to such great music!!! Thank you 🙏
This is when Olivia was putting out more of her sexy edge and getting away from the girl next door and wow was it hot! 1979-1980 Olivia was her babe peak and this track is great!
The film Xanadu from which this song is from and she plays Zeus’ daughter a Muse is a CULT classic. Great romance.
love all het music but Please Mr Please is my favorite
One of her best songs.🤗
Ah...the days when artists had to be careful and not trip over their mic cords...lol
She knows how to use it as a prop though.
Wow she is total delight for the eyes and the ears!
Olivia brought a new sound to the music industry and she was magical! Sexy too!!!🎶😉☺️ 🎶Praying for her in her time of need. 🙏🙏🙏
India you have the best show on Yoube. Thanks for showing back the videos I grew up with. ❤️💛🤗💙💜
I saw her in concert.
Love Olivia. Thanks for sharing this

Loved your reaction ❤
"she is the magic" this woman is my crush of a lifetime :)
RIP Olivia.😪🖤⭐
Met Olivia and spoke to her sister Rona during the My Space era. Both are, but Olivia is one of the sweetest people in the world.
