Good work these guys are doing. Working so well with big business. Props to the logging company too for sharing their land. It would be so easy to say no.
I don't see how you can say that SMA is rideable by beginners. I took me wife down that trail and she had to walk more than half of it. Still a few features I don't feel comfortable riding. Great trail, yes! Beginner friendly, not even close IMO
Hey Jeff, I know short travel bikes aren't exactly your style but I'd love your help with my new-bike-decision-paralysis if that's cool? I 'm torn between the optic C3 and the ripley af. I've had a chance to parking lot test an optic, which I absolutely loved, but not an af. My hesitstion with the optic is that my daily access trails are xco style so I want something I can take to the mountains but mostly pedal around my locals. Having tried both I was really hoping you might have some insights for me on the pedaling and weight factor between the two? Thanks Jeff!
Looked for SMA at the NWTA Rocky Point trailforks and didn't see it there. Did it shut down due to logging/spraying, or re-named? Thank for any input you guys can give me. Looks sweet!
@@JeffKendallWeed Thanks for the reply! I'm a NWTA member and have access to the hidden Trailforks map. Looks like the trail was re-named 'Twisted Knickers.' Cheers, and thanks again for the sweet content!
Here a real Zen type question that I had never considered before; Can anything that is man planned, designed and then built be actually called a trail or is the more accurately called a "run". Good video.
Yo Jeff, question unrelated to this video: what do you think about the lower spec Rocky Mountain Altitude C50 with a 36 and DPX2? Is it worth it still? Thanks!!
Probably a better outlet for this info but considering Bellingham for a MTB trip. With COVID, is travel between Vancouver Canada and Bellingham US an issue? Is there a quarantine, test or proof of vaccination requirement?
Difficulty: not in Portland NWTA finally give up on forest park, or is that still “in the works” lol Portland sucks for mountain biking and this is a weak attempt to link this trail system to the city
You need to come to Eugene to ride the new jump line (The Gift) Team Scraper is building at Carpenters Bypass. Done this summer.
This trail SLAPS. An absolute party. Well done NWTA. Its my new favorite trail.

So Much Air looks like SO MUCH FUN!
Nice seeing a Starling Murmur being ridden hard out in the wild :)
Sweet trails aswell!
So rad and great to see Kerstin in this as well, she rocks!!
can't say no to fun jumps and high fives!
thanks to all the trail builders in the whole world :)
I need to head back over to Rocky Point sometime soon. Super stoked NWTA was able to make that happen!
Would love to see you review this place as well. I'm in the Portland area and your videos have been really helpful.
@@samuelh31992 It’s on my list of places to get to.
It is so hard to gain access to land to build trails, especially near bigger cities. Oregon is doing things right. Great vid JKW.
Looks like a fun stop by from Corvy on the way to Hood!
I was here last weekend. Happy to support NWTA. I will say it was a bit wet and muddy, Julie's Line was really really really really harsh.
That looks like so much fun and it’s right up the road from me but all I hear are ambulance sirens in my head😂
love rocky point. very bummed I wasn't up there when you were. would've loved to run into you!
Nice riding as always👍🙂
Portland has a surprising lack of trails.
Bob's Yer Uncle - is the name of that secret trail
Excellent... Hammerheads
Very cool!
Siiiiick
Wish some of our trails looked more like that around the black hills.
Sends!!

All of rocky point is hidden on trail forks. Once you are a member you get access, and you’ll find sma then.

@@jefferywassom6472 Jeez Jeff. Always having problems with Trail Forks. 🤣😂🤣😂
Should have posted this before I bought my xt der on jenson yesterday😭
How do you get to the trial?

Just started going a couple weeks ago, this place gets steep on the bottom.
Kirsten and Thomas are the best.
Probably a better outlet for this info but considering Bellingham for a MTB trip. With COVID, is travel between Vancouver Canada and Bellingham US an issue? Is there a quarantine, test or proof of vaccination requirement?
First? p.s. love the video
Very cool trail. That is what I would like to ride daily.
Get BKXC over there to work on his jump skills. He is lacking big time.
