These pomade reviews are, for the most part, worthless other than for simply introducing a pomade. Pomades are like “horses for courses”. One person’s hair texture will respond differently to a pomade compared to another person’s hair texture. B&W is my favorite pomade. My hair is medium thick with some waves, and is naturally somewhat dry. B&W goes on very smooth and I characterize it as a light to medium hold. My hair stays in place throughout the day . B&W is also very pliable, allowing me to re-comb my hair and still keep it in place. B&W is my go-to pomade.
I love this pomade. It's a great hold, if you're not doing crazy things through-out the day, and creamy/greasy. The smell is fantastic as well. I don't know why a lot of people don't like the smell.
The smell is the best part about it! I wear aftershave anyway but regularly get compliments about the almost cocoa butter smell of the pomade... You’re definitely wrong on that point.
i guess smell is very subjective. i just did my hair with this and i love the smell. my first time using it so idk how the hold will be throughout the day. i paid 15 bucks for it so its not breaking the bank lol. almost 7 oz should last a good while.
The trick is to base your hair with something like beeswax before using any light/medium hold product. Lighter products are only good for making your hair more pliable, not actually holding thick hair.
Great video man. Thanks for the help as always with your reviews. People in the comments need to chill with their stupid comments. I myself really enjoyed the review and so what if he's talks a certain way. You don't like it WHY ARE YOU WATCHING THIS VIDEO
This dudes calls that a pomp? He barely pulled it up. It really just looks like he has thick hair and it’s slicked back. Need to pull that pomp up and whole lot.
@@ThePomp if that’s the case, he’s wasting a gift lol. Super fine hair is what you want for a true pompadour. Not trying to hate on him or anything, if that’s how he wants his hair then more power to him. When someone says pompadour, I think of 1950s Elvis with the large pomp that’s hanging over your forehead a little. It’s hard to achieve that, especially when you have thick hair like I do. Much easier with fine hair
black&white pomade really doesnt provide any hold at all for my. i slick back my hair, and 5 minutes later max my hair is on my forehead again, and the hair on the sides are going forward. meh.
My old man was a trugel man my older brother got me on to black and White he lived in London for a while flat tops were the thing in 80s you couldn't get b and w in Glasgow then he give me a big tub and it worked well he told me it was a Jamaican thing to straight arafo hair the tub given to me said it was made in Jamaica of its all I know
just got black and white havent tried yet. someone told me it smells like coconut but it doesnt. smells like powder. which i dont like. only good thing is that it is more than 4 ounces.
I was watching it like... wtf man. he puts like half the tub on his head and then says, yeah I'll put a bit more on, "it's too light"... fuck off. his hair just looks greasy once he's done
shazomaniac petrolium based products are translated to oil based. if it says it has petroilum, then it is a oil base product. there dosent need to be oil in it to be a oil base product, it has to have petrolium in it to be a oil based. I dont know why they call it oil based even though its petrolium
What's your favorite pomade to use for high shine and strong hold? I have a wedding day and need a pomade ASAP helpppppp lol I have thick hair exactly like you.
i'm kinda suprised you weren't too positive about the smell. It's one of the best i've ever encoutered!
"I really don't like much about it, however it's a great pomade"
npization I mean, it's whatever

How hard is it to remove from hair?
@@IKESTERrocks not that difficult in comparison to Murray's
@@wittvonwitt4403 Murray’s would stick in my hair for multiple showers, even without reapplying

For me I use this daily (just a slick back not a pomp mind you) and for me a bit of hairspray with it is perfect. But the hold by itself isn't great.
You say like a lot. Like... a lot. Good review though.
hellllllll yeahhhhhh...thats what you get for growing up in socal.
This famously lights up under UV lights at the night club so you may want to bear that in mind!!

Hello, I have very thick, curly hair. What do you think a good pomade would be for me?
just got black and white havent tried yet. someone told me it smells like coconut but it doesnt. smells like powder. which i dont like. only good thing is that it is more than 4 ounces.
you put way too much pomade on mate

He does have a helluva lot of hair. Also, Asian hair is coarser.
@@ChrisMagoo99oriental hair is usually thin. Irish hair is coarse.
Royal Crown will always be my favorite, its super greasy with great hold, the hair dressing sucks but the pomade is awesome.
You definitely need to check out Justin Kreeps pomade. It works pretty decent for an oil based pomade
The coconut scent ? damn that scent was sick as fuck IMO.
How ever much do you use? 😂😂😂
ay does this work for any type of hair ? bc I got really curly .
Vietcong pomade!😎😎😎😄😂
it looks not enough sheen for light pomade
