I WAS BORED OUT MY SKULL AT A MALL WAITING FOR MY EX WIFE TO PICK A SHIRT OR WHAT EVER AND THEY HAD TV MONITORS AT THE STORE AND THIS SONG CAME ON AND IT CHANGED ME FOREVER, I BOUGHT THE CD 20MINS LATER AND LOOKED INTO PAST EPS . I STILL LOVE MY GRANDADDY, THEIR MELODIES , GUITAR KEYBOARDS SOUNDS ARE INCREDIBLY DIFFERENT AND I DONT SEE HOW THESE GUYS NEVER BROKE BIG, CRYSTAL LAKE IS A GREAT FOLLOW UP. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO SEE THEM A FEW TIMES AND THEY SOUNDED AMAZING, IT MUST OF BEEN A GREAT VENUES AND ACOUSTICS WERE PERFECT FOR THEIR SOUND. LONG LIVE GRANDADDY.
JONAH WATTS Grandaddy is really special to me. Probably the oldest band that I still listen to and will listen to forever. Jason Lytle is so original and different from anything I have ever heard. Just so amazing. Grandaddy forever man.
This album is monumental. All the tracks and the flow it has, from the first to the last song, vibrates with how important it is. One of the best albums of the indie pop-rock genre of all time.
Gooosh, AM 180 was the first song i ever heard from them too (but from eddsworld like 3 years ago), is the best song for people that dont hear grandaddy
I was a trucker, owner op......over 20 yrs. ago....needed tunes , always...SPIN magazine turned me on to this, along with other stuff. And I had the best stereo you could get in my truck...now i'm on a 1978 Onkyo TX 4500 at home. So lucky ...luv Grandaddy.
love the plants on the instruments. still loving the whole grandaddy vibe. so grateful for all this art that captures the bittersweetness and mild insanity of modernity. you guys were/are great.
I fell in love with this album during one of the worse phases of self destruction in my life. It’s soo good that I always come back and I’m able to disconnect it from that period of my life and continue to enjoy it.
At one time or another pretty much every track has been my favourite. Sign of a truly great album. Thanks guys and thanks to Dom Joly for introducing me to them through Trigger Happy TV.
Really one of the best songs ever written. Should have been a number 1 hit! But the fact that these guys arent that known makes them even more special to me.
they are amazing artist and have nice songs but why they are not famous? I'm Korean fan who know Grandaddy in 2016. I thought their music is similar Radiohead or Coldplay but why this singer couldn't be famous? Anyway I really like Grandaddy's music I listened A.M180 everyday night It's my best song!
More actual answer is a bandmember died and the group otherwise grew weary of a fame they actually had acquired for a time and chose to step away from it, with the exception of a few solo projects.
Maybe it was due to the state of the record industry and a lack of publicity. Even if they didn’t want mega fame it’s too bad more people didn’t get to hear their music, because it’s good.
Aaron Bloor ...I know what you mean Aaron. I enjoyed it but kinda felt they just wanted it over and done with. Not suggesting there should be lots of witty banter but a bit of interaction would have been nice.Good set list, thought the video display was a bit pointless tbh.
William Hennessey set list was perfect. just left me a little unfulfilled! was expecting a more, and I'm embarrassed to say, cathartic experience haha.
@@moonphoenix9324 I will check that song out. Btw, you said "lmaon," apparently the n stands for "nigga." If you are not black, perhaps you should just say lmao, or was it a typo? lol

I saw them at Bonnaroo in 2006! great show then I caught them in NY a year later. also good.
Amen, brother....they got me down the road as a trucker.....long time ago.(Big city was my handle...on the C.B. Radio.)
Thanks for being all caps insane for this for me.
@@danieldavis4100 Bonnaroo was in 2004, and I don't think they played live in 2005

I really love this song. Growing up in a tiny town I was very lonely and isolated and hearing this album as a 13 year old really meant a lot to me
That extra bar at 0:51 is a trip
Found this band from a.m. 180 in 28 days later. Still lovin them.

The greatest under appreciated band of all time.
"Slump" fell between the cracks for most people...another terrific track from this recording

Too bad for those people
Just found them, from watching Everything Beautiful is Far Away. Great music!

Fácilmente una de las mejores bandas de los últimos 30 años (al menos en el género rock/pop). Es realmente insólito que no hayan sido más famosos.
The Sophtware Slump è uno degli album piu' belli e ascoltati della mia vita.
Oh sure, that's easy for you to say.
I will keep Grandaddy on my heart forever, until the day i die

Some people don't want fame. I mean, what is fame but opinions of others. I enjoy their music, so famous or not, Now it's on.

They continue.....on.....it's been decades...they are...Da man.
March 26th Newcastle. The night i see the best band who have ever walked this planet.
My condolences to the band and family of the bassist. He did a good job. and this video got me into Grandaddy ;)
Just grabbed tickets for the Bristol (UK) gig in March 2017
It will be the third time I've seen the best band of all time.
20 years.
The song's the bomb....
IT’S JUST SO GOOD 😭😭😭
I would think this band could hash it out with Blur.... Very underrated
Grandaddy can come play in my garage anytime they like .😀
Приятная музыка. В 2017г. вышел новый альбом инди-рок гр. - " Last Place".
RIP Mr. Garcia.
Superb!
Roll on March 28th...live in Manchester....can barely wait.
