Relatively easy? The only this crazy he did was smash the radio. He only did that to keep the others from pussying out. Smashing it was a bit much but ultimately if they had turned back the shark would have probably killed more people. He was paid to do a job, he wanted to go alone but he was forced to have a crew who he didn’t really fully trust. He was a little crazy but he was the right man for the job.

Quint was a lunatic. It was a relatively easy job once they find the shark, but he had to go off of the deep end and got eaten in the process.

Well, Hooper deserved it in the book, but they made him so much more likeable in the movie, so I’m glad they didn’t do that.
